Rice with steamed vegetables (multicooker-pressure cooker Steba DD1)

Ingredients

rice 2 mstk
water 2 mstk
chopped vegetables 400-500g
salt, spices, garlic
vegetable oil 3-4 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • This side dish can be prepared with fresh or frozen vegetables. It is better to take brown, red, steamed rice. I have brown and red rice 1: 1, a mixture of frozen vegetables. Rinse the rice thoroughly, pour into a bowl, add spices (I have garam masala and turmeric), add water (do not salt!), Install a steam basket, pour vegetables into it and pour oil over them. Mode "Porridge" 0.7 10 minutes for brown and red rice, 7 minutes for parboiled or plain long grain. When the pressure drops, open, add vegetables to rice, salt, add crushed garlic, stir. Everything is very fast, tasty and healthy.

Time for preparing:

7-10 minutes

Cooking program:

Porridge

Delicious. I usually cook rice in a double boiler without a grid. This recipe is attracted by what can be done immediately and with vegetables. What a clever little Shtebochka we have!

She is out of competition with us! 7-10 minutes - and a delicious and healthy dinner is ready! Rice, while not boiled, but the vegetables are juicy and whole!

Oh, how delicious and pilaf is not needed 🔗

Karina, I also like just rice with just vegetables - it doesn't load at all. And in this recipe, I like the simultaneous cooking so that the vegetables are not overcooked, and the rice is cooked and crumbly. I used to do it with fish too, but this fish looked unattractive. Now I make a side dish separately, fish separately (but it is convenient when at the same time). In general, when I came running from work, and there is a horde of hungry representatives of the younger generation, then a healthy, quick and delicious dinner in 10-20 minutes is, of course, a godsend!

hello and what does "mtsk" mean a measuring cup or just 2 glasses of water for a glass of rice? maybe a stupid question, but yesterday they gave me a multicooker Aurora and there is no porridge function there

This is a 160ml plastic cup. It is included with almost all multicooker and pressure cooker.

Irina, mstk is a cartoon glass (Thanks,Natashathat answered for me!). In principle, you can measure with ordinary glasses, the main thing is the ratio. If there is no "Porridge" mode, you need the mode in which the cereals are cooked (or specifically rice). Bon Appetit!

Linadoc, thanks for the recipe!
there were literally 1.5 mst of brown rice left, broccoli, garlic arrows and grated zucchini from the freezer went to the basket. After that I poured everything into a baking sheet, where the cutlets were baked, there was fat from them with turmeric, I mixed everything - an excellent food turned out)
As always with you: fast, simple, tasty and healthy
