Monastic cabbage soup

Ingredients

Sauerkraut 300 gr.
Dry mushrooms handful
Onion 2-3 medium onions
Wheat flour 1 tbsp. l
Vegetable oil
Garlic for serving

Cooking method

  • Soak the mushrooms in cold water overnight. Boil until tender, chop finely, return back to the pot where it was cooked. Finely chop the onion, fry in vegetable oil, add squeezed sauerkraut there. Simmer until tender. Add ready-made cabbage to a saucepan with mushrooms, cook a little under the lid. At this time, in a frying pan where the cabbage was stewed, sauté the flour, dilute with broth from the pan, stir so that there are no lumps. Add flour dressing to a saucepan with cabbage soup, bring to a boil. Turn off the fire. Let the soup brew. When serving, add finely chopped garlic.
