  • I would like to recommend this casserole to all lovers of herring. It is prepared from simple products, but it turns out delicious. The ratio of products can be changed.
  • Cooking.
  • Cut the onion into small cubes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
  • Fry the onions and carrots in vegetable oil. Cool it down.
  • Peel the herring of bones. Cut into slices. (I also used caviar and milk.)

The dish is designed for

6-8 servings

Note

Adjust the herring and potato mass for salt. (Add more mashed potatoes or sour cream, for example.) Remember that the herring becomes saltier after baking. Therefore, it is better to undersalt than oversalt.

For the casserole, I used ready-made mashed potatoes. Here's how to cook it in the Polaris pressure cooker.
Cut the peeled potatoes into 2-4 pieces. Fill with water 1-2 cm above the top level of the potatoes. Cook on the "Manual" program for 8 minutes at a pressure - 3. Mash with a crush in mashed potatoes.

This casserole can also be cooked in other multicooker / pressure cookers on the "Bake" program for about 40 minutes.

Interesting ... Can you do that with fresh, not salted herring? They say it is not salty that lowers cholesterol

Shelena, Super! I just have a herring (the term is already running out) to throw out a pity, but now it will go into business
Shelena
Elena, I had the same herring. I didn't throw it away! She put it into action. Just check for salt. And then you have to drink beer.
