Irish stew (multicooker Brand 701)

Ingredients

Beef (I have turkey) 700 g
vegetable oil 3 tbsp. l.
canned tomatoes in juice 400g
onion 2 pcs
celery salt (I have 2 stalks of celery) 1 tsp
apple cider vinegar 75 ml
molasses (black molasses) I have maltose 100 ml
beef broth (vegetable can be used) 250 ml
carrot 3 pcs
raisins (not used) 80 g
ginger root 1 tsp
flour 3 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • The recipe for this meat from the book "Culinary Treasury" by J. Butler.
  • You can cook it on the stove and in the oven, and we will do it in the Brand 701 multicooker.
  • Cut the meat into small cubes and fry until golden brown in the FRYING program (meat). Since there is a lot of meat, and the multicooker bowl is small, fry in parts or use an additional frying pan.
  • Irish stew (multicooker Brand 701) Irish stew (multicooker Brand 701) Irish stew (multicooker Brand 701)
  • Then add flour and sauté for another 1-2 minutes on the FRIED program (vegetables).
  • Mix apple cider vinegar, molasses - molasses (I have dark maltose molasses) and broth.
  • Next, add tomatoes with juice, onions with carrots (you can fry them if you wish), celery salt (I have stalked celery), salt, pepper, grated ginger.
  • We turn on the EXTINGUISHING program, time 30 minutes.
  • Irish stew (multicooker Brand 701)

  • In addition, I prepared stewed green apples - you can use it as a side dish or just add to the dish.

Note

Muskavado sugar tastes a bit like molasses, except that maple or corn syrups can also be used instead of molasses.

I have already cooked this dish 2 times with turkey (breast and other parts) - both options in the photo.
Of course, now it is imperative to cook with beef and molasses (not substituting other ingredients).
Enjoy your meal!

Marishka, looks very appetizing! Interestingly, with so much molasses, the meat turns out to be quite sweet?

Sashul, I was not sweet: ginger, garlic, pepper, apple cider vinegar - all this compensates for the sweet taste. There should still be raisins, but I don't eat them.

Marine, I realized! Apparently a very spicy taste comes out and sugar is not heard separately

Moreover, sugar is diluted with a sufficient amount of broth and tomatoes.
My turkey meat is poorly eaten, but in this version it goes away instantly!

Listen, how delicious, Marish! It's good that my belly is full, just fell off the table. And here it is so cool! Thank you for bookmarking. I will definitely try! Very, VERY delicious you did it!

Try it for health Lenochka! For this we are trying.
Through trial and error, I discovered that you can still introduce into the menu those types of products that do not pass without certain additional ingredients. We have a turkey
In this recipe, everything is well balanced, so much so that the husband asked for supplements - this is our indicator!

Marina, gorgeous photo !!!! I feel the taste and aroma of real winter food I always thought that Irish stew is an incredibly complex dish that cannot be stewed for a long time, but with the help of a multicooker you have greatly simplified the matter now such a stew is in the very near future!

You're right, Sashul! Such a stew without a multicooker needs to simmer for 2.5 hours in the oven. : girl_cleanglasses: I did it faster with the new assistant.
Although you can try to darken longer in manual mode at lower t (it will only be tastier).
I would be very glad if this recipe is useful to you too!
