grated roots of each type for 3 tbsp. l.

Ground coriander and cumin 0.5 tsp each
Turmeric (a terribly useful thing) 1 tsp.
Vegetable oil, fresh herbs, salt
Cooking method

We put the washed lentils into the multicooker (which is better to soak in cold water for half an hour so that it does not burst during cooking), pour 1.5 liters of water and into the stewing mode for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, pour vegetable oil into the pan, heat and pour spices (turmeric, coriander, caraway seeds), lightly fry until a strong aroma appears, add finely chopped ginger, garlic here, add finely chopped onion, grated carrots and roots, and lightly put everything until softness, after 5 minutes add the rice so that it is soaked in oil. Turn off. In total, all manipulations with the roots should take no more than 15 minutes.
Add rice with roots and spices to the multicooker and add about 1.5 liters of hot water (I boil in an electric kettle). All! After turning off the program, leave in heating mode for about 1 hour - and serve with fresh herbs and croutons.
For adherents of a completely healthy diet - do not fry anything, just put everything in a slow cooker, add olive oil (or another favorite oil - flaxseed, sesame) and for 1 hour in the stewing mode - it also turns out amazingly, and it's useful how ...

According to the most ancient system of "knowledge about life" - Ayurveda, from March to June it is the time of "spring" when you need to eat that natural food that ripens during this period - that is, a lot of all kinds of greens and spicy bitterness - onions, garlic, ginger, horseradish, etc.
But it is no longer desirable to eat winter potatoes, because you need to relieve the body from excess starches and fats accumulated over the winter. Output? BEANES! We just replace potatoes - with beans, peas, lentils, etc. We also happily buy parsnip, celery, parsley roots from grandmothers and cook soups!

Unfortunately, we do not sell dry lentils, I only saw Bonduelle in banks. Where do you get lentils in stores or in the market?

RybkA, I take it in the store, but I think that it should be in the bazaar too ... In this soup, you can safely replace lentils with small white beans or peas - I did this and that, only they are better than 6 hours beforehand. 8 soak in water.
By the way, this soup turns out to be quite thick, so the amount of water can be increased to taste.
