Ingredients

Beef brisket 300-400 g
Bulb onions 1 PC. average
Fresh carrots 1 PC. average
Potatoes 1 PC. average
Fresh red tomatoes 2 small, or from the freezer, or dried (in my case, dried)
Lentils are different 1 measuring cup of a multicooker.
A mixture of dried herbs, spices, salt to taste (I used my own dried herbs, vegetables) 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Many of you have seen groats called "lentils" in stores, and even different shapes and different colors, and probably passed by, not knowing what can be made from this cereal. And you can cook porridge and soup. In our family, this cereal is in a constant diet. Today I will show you how to cook lentil soup in a slow cooker.
  • So, we have a set of different lentils (green, red, yellow) and mung bean (white). Although the soup can be prepared from one type of cereal, especially from green lentils.
  • We put all the products in the multicooker pan (except for lentils), pour in the required amount of water, close the lid, put in the “stewing” mode for 2 hours.
  • After an hour of time, pour the washed lentils into a saucepan and bring the soup to readiness. Make sure your lentils are done as they cook quickly and may be ready before the remaining hour on the timer. But, even if the lentils are cooked for the remaining hour, nothing will happen to them. It's a matter of taste - how long to keep the cereal on the timer, I had it for an hour before the timer went off.
  • Lentils can be put in a saucepan and along with meat, if the meat is cooked for the same amount of time as cereals, for example, chicken.
  • You do not need to pre-soak lentils in water.
  • And here's what happened. It turned out very tasty.
  • I specially laid out the cereals in a plate with a slide so that its structure was more visible.
  • Try making this lentil soup, you won't regret it.

I gave the general view of the cereal in the photo above, when you buy, pay attention to the appearance, I buy these cereals in a transparent package on which there is a window and through which everything is clearly visible.

Lentils are good for mushroom soup instead of noodles.

I cooked this soup with fried mushrooms and onions and instead of tomatoes I put grated celery - a quarter from a round tuber. The taste is very tender and smells like dried mushrooms. So that you can do it without meat at all, lentils, like any legumes, are an excellent hearty, lean dish
