Cake "Ivan Curly"

Ivan curly cake

Ingredients

Cakes:
Eggs 16 pcs.
Sugar 3 tbsp.
Flour 3 tbsp.
Vanillin
Cocoa 2-3 tbsp. l.
Cream:
Eggs 2 pcs.
Sugar 1.5 tbsp.
Milk 2 tbsp.
Butter 600-700 g

Cooking method

  • Cakes:
  • 1st cake: 8 eggs, 1.5 stack. sugar, beat until the consistency of thick sour cream. Then add 1.5 cups of sifted flour and some vanillin. Mix everything very carefully and pour the dough into a round shape with detachable sides (I have 28 cm). Place in a preheated oven and bake at first 200⁰C, and then lower it to 180⁰C for 40-60 minutes (it all depends on the oven).
  • 2nd cake: Do everything in the same way as for 1 cake, only add cocoa powder with flour.
  • Cream:
  • Grind eggs well with sugar. Boil the milk, pour in a thin stream while stirring into the egg-sugar mixture. Put on fire and bring to a boil again, but do not boil. The mixture must be stirred so that it does not burn. Better to use a saucepan with a thick bottom. Remove from heat and cool. Beat the butter with a mixer and add the sugar mixture in parts, whisking constantly, until fluffy cream. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Assembly:
  • Cut each biscuit in half, soak in any sugar syrup. First put the chocolate crust on the cake maker, spread it with cream, then the light crust, cream again, and so on. Sprinkle the top of the cake with chocolate chips or nuts. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
  • The cake is delicious, tender and not sugary. If desired, the cakes can be cut into 3 pieces.

Note

I found the recipe a long time ago in an appendix to the "Worker and Selyanka" magazine somewhere in 83-84. I bake for a large company, because it turns out a rather large cake. This cake has a weight of 3.800, and the height of the cake is 19 cm.
