Walnut praline

Walnut praline

Ingredients

Walnuts 150 g
Powdered sugar 150 g
Amaretto.
I took Irish Cream
2 tbsp. l.
Bitter or milk chocolate 200 g
Nuts for decoration

Cooking method

  • Grind walnuts in a blender into flour. Mix with powdered sugar and grind again. Add liqueur and knead the marzipan dough. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little water. The mass must be able to keep its shape.
  • Roll out the marzipan dough into a 1cm thick layer. and cut into 2X2 cubes. I didn't bother like that, but simply blinded the candies with my hands, tearing pieces off the dough.
  • Melt chocolate in a steam bath. Chop the future sweets on a fork and dip in chocolate. Place each candy on the parchment. Put a nut on top. Dry the praline.
  • And I stupidly put them in the refrigerator, and then I just broke off all that glass outside the perimeter of the sweets with my hands
  • Walnut praline

Note

Delicious sweets are obtained. moreover, they contain not the usual marzipan from almonds, but from walnuts.

What else can replace Amaretto? (otherwise I am not strong in alcohol).

IMHO - for strong alcohol, the smell of which you like - cognac, rum, liqueur, balm ...

Sounds simple and delicious! I will definitely try

I forgot to finish. From this number of ingredients, 14 quite large sweets are obtained. And they are very satisfying, you can't eat much. My husband and I are still eating :-)

You were answered correctly. But if the alcohol has a strong smell and strong strength, it is better to take half as much of it, because even with my liqueur the candy tastes quite alcoholic. I think it would be great with Cointreau. And the best thing is to take liquor, which I did. I just don't like Amaretto. But on the other hand, it has the smell and taste of almonds, which is quite useful here. But I didn't want to buy it because of the candy.

Praline-marzipan is delicious !! I made sweets using small silicone molds in the shape of roses and leaves (first a layer of chocolate, inside a small cake of praline, on top there is another layer of chocolate). From 90 gr. nuts and 90 gr. sah. powder +1.5 bars of dark chocolate, 18 figured candies and 12 small round ones turned out. "They won't believe anyone to tell someone that the wife did it herself," said the husband rather, eating candy

Did the silicone molds lubricate with something or does it fall out after cooling?
Lolo
Do not fall out, but separate easily enough, no loss

I'll try to do it.
