Ingredients

Cooking method

  • We make the dough in a sponge way.
  • 1. Grind yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar. They will melt, as it were.
  • If dry yeast, then add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of water 1 teaspoon of sugar and let it disperse.
  • 2. Pour warm milk into yeast and add some flour, stir. This is a dough. It shouldn't be as thick as sour cream. Deliver until tripled in volume. To help it rise better, I wrap the bowl in plastic wrap.
  • 3. Beat the yolks with the remaining sugar.
  • 4. Sink the butter, not too much to make it soft. Creamy margarine can be used.
  • 5. Soak the raisins, then roll them in flour before placing them in the dough.
  • 6. In our matched dough, pour the mixture of yolks, gradually add sifted flour with starch, until medium consistency (like thick sour cream).
  • 7. Add butter or margarine and knead until the dough has taken up all the margarine.
  • 8. Add raisins and knead gently.
  • 9. Place the finished dough in a warm place to rise. Should increase 3 times.
  • 10. Divide the dough into pre-oiled and floured tins or 1 mold. The dough rises very well, so we only fill it halfway.
  • 11. Allow the dough to rise again in the molds to the brim.
  • 12. Bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees, 20-30 minutes. Do not open the oven for 20 minutes, then, depending on the oven, check the readiness with a skewer.
  • 13. Glaze - 1 protein + 1 glass of powdered sugar, knock down into a strong foam.
  • 14. Syrup - 2 glasses of water + 2 glasses of sugar. Boil in syrup. Cool, add rum or rum essence to taste.
  • 15. Take out ready-made women, prick with a toothpick, put in syrup for impregnation. The syrup is absorbed very well. Baba can be dipped in syrup with the sides.
  • 16. Pour glaze over the tops of the heads.
  • I got 10 rum women. I baked in 350 ml tins, which are made from cans of condensed milk. I bake Easter cakes in them. They are baked perfectly.
