Country-style roast chicken liver in a slow cooker

Ingredients

Chicken liver 600 g
Potatoes 1000 g
Bulb onions 4 things.
Apples 4 things.
Cream 20% 3-6 st. l.
Hard cheese 100 g
Salt
Black pepper

Cooking method

  • We take the liver in whole pieces, cut the potatoes into thick slices, onions - in half rings, apples - in slices.
  • Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. If the cream is thick, you can slightly dilute it with milk, or take 10-15% cream.
  • In a frying pan, over high heat, sauté the onion until golden brown.
  • In the second frying pan, over high heat, fry the liver until golden brown.
  • Put the potatoes in the multicooker pan.
  • Put the liver on the potatoes.

Fry the apples on both sides in the pan where the liver was cooked over high heat.
Put apples in a saucepan, on the liver:

Put onions on apples:

Pour cream over everything (in this case, I took sour cream + milk),
and sprinkle with cheese (I have "mozzarella").

In a multicooker, on the display, select the extinguishing mode, set the time - 1 hour 30 minutes:

Here's what we have at the output:
Country-style roast chicken liver in a slow cooker.

P.S. I did it in the multicooker for the first time (I have everything in it for the first time now).
I had few apples. I replaced the cream with sour cream. In general, the proportions can be changed for yourself. ideally liver-meat 50x50.
The extinguishing can be extended up to 2 hours, 1.5 hours is normal for me.

Liver, apples, onions can be fried in MV, in baking mode, but I don't like that.

Try it.
Bon Appetit!

Alenochka is ooooooooochen delicious dish, I want to try it. But I have a doubt about chickens. liver. Once I bought a liver and fried it and no one began to eat, firstly it was bitter and secondly dry and firm. What about you ?
alyona
Nut,
if the liver is bitter, then the bile has been crushed.
When washing, look carefully - if there are bile residues, or greenish spots, it is better to cut out these places.
And so that it is not dry, it cannot be overcooked.
Therefore, I fry it over high heat, so that it quickly forms
ruddy crust - it will not let the juice flow out, and the liver will not be dry.
And so as not to get poisoned, and not to catch the "infection", after frying it
you need to extinguish over low heat (in my case, extinguishing occurs already in the MV).

I made a roast today! Delicious !!!!! Thanks for the great recipe and for the idea - you can lay out a lot of things with such layers
A wonderful combination of liver and apples! And what else I liked - not a gram of water and so much liquid turned out (more than half of the total volume of roast), apparently juice from apples. I put a lot more liver than in the picture and there are enough apples.
Recommend!!!
And thanks to Alenochka

Even if you pre-soak the liver in milk, it becomes so tender that you can eat with your lips

In principle, the liver did not work out tough, in any case, let's not take weapons

alyonochka, do you think it is possible to do all this, just not in a cartoon (I don't have it)

Although the question is not for me, I think it is possible! You can, for example, do it in the oven !!!

Tatjanka_1 , MV I have recently.
Before that, I made this dish in the oven.
Only for the oven, I boiled potatoes in their uniforms, then peeled and cut into thick slices. It tastes even better in the oven.

It was baked until it "browned" in an open form with high sides. I will not say more precisely in terms of time and temperature - my oven lives its own life. In a normal oven at a temperature
180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Chicken liver does not need to be soaked in milk.
This tip is more suitable for pork and beef liver.
Milk is better to drink.

Yesterday from the store I saw a chicken liver - the freshest chilled, piece by piece. I got used to it, bought 300 grams for dinner. I came home and wondered what to do with her? I haven't bought or cooked any liver for several years .... I don't know how to use a recipe, so it turned out "based on"
I cut the potatoes into thick slices, slightly boiled them (the potatoes remained half-baked). Cut the liver into pieces, quickly fry it on a drop of vegetable oil (inside the liver remained raw). Fried grated carrots (+ half an onion, a clove of garlic, salt and pepper), mixed with the liver. I put a layer of potatoes, a liver with carrots, a layer of potatoes in a ceramic mold, sprinkled with grated cheese and poured a little 10% cream. There were no apples because: there were only soft red ones; did not want; indifferent to the combination of chicken liver and apples. In the oven at about 180 it sat for 30 minutes (put it in a semi-preheated oven). It turned out very tasty and satisfying, both ate and I still have lunch today. Thank you for the idea!

Lina, to your health.
And I really love chicken liver, as well as goose, rabbit, cod ...

And the apples in this recipe are the highlight. But I would love to eat your dish too.

Thanks for the recipe! It turned out very tasty, especially with apples.

I love this yummy. Once cooked without apples - well, they were not in the house. So, with apples it is much juicier, more piquant, more interesting. Thanks to the author!
