Ingredients

Boiled potatoes in their uniforms 4-5pcs
bacon stripes 10 pieces
mayonnaise 3/4 cup
mustard dijon 1 tbsp. the spoon
sugar 2 tsp
salt 1 tsp
boiled eggs 4 things
celery stalk 1 PC
small onion 1 PC
green bell pepper 1/2 pc

Cooking method

  • The whole recipe in cups and inches, as I could translate into glasses and centimeters. My cup is equal to one faceted glass, inch - 2.5 cm. I bought Hungarian bacon: wonderful, does not creep, so it was not difficult to cut into pieces. The original recipe uses red potatoes. I remembered that in the Globus hypermarket I saw expensive red small potatoes, washed, in a net, at some unthinkable price, but apparently that was a long time ago. Therefore, I had to dig out heels of pink potatoes, clearly not of American origin, from a huge pile of potatoes in the vegetable department.
  • Prepare salad dressing:
  • -Bacon strips cut into ~ 2.5 cm squares, melt in a large flat frying pan at low temperature until crispy. Place the bacon on a paper towel. Leave in 2 tablespoons of the melted fat.
  • Mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, salt and 2 tbsp. mix tablespoons of the melted fat to a homogeneous mass.
  • In a large bowl, combine coarsely chopped potatoes, eggs and finely chopped celery, onions and green peppers, stir, add the dressing, stir gently, add the bacon and stir again.
  • Close the bowl with a lid and let the salad sit for at least 3 hours.

Note

I liked the salad very much. There was no obtrusive taste of celery, it added juiciness, fried bacon is very appropriate here.

Thank you. I liked the salad, although I have it "for reasons".
Fried bacon doesn't really fit into my nutritional guidelines, so I replaced it with baked chicken. For lack of melted fat, I added vegetable oil to the dressing. I did not add green pepper.
I received a hearty, solid salad with a fresh taste that does not faint nutritionists.
