Cooking method

  • Boil sugar with water until it becomes a syrup. Soak gelatin in water, dissolve and pour into the prepared hot syrup.
  • Mix thoroughly, beat with a mixer for min. 15, add 0.5 tsp. soda, and beat for about 20 minutes.
  • The mixture increases in volume, white in color, lemon juice can be added to taste, can be painted in any color.
  • You can make marshmallows, cream, it hardens quickly.
  • I use it to make mastic for cakes, add powdered sugar, roll it out on a silicone mat sprinkled with starch.

It is stored for a long time, does not settle. If you make mastic, then you need to wrap it in film and close it tightly, since it dries quickly.

I came with a report, I didn't understand much about the water. Pour the whole into the syrup or half with gelatin. The first time I made part of the water poured into sugar, part into gelatin. The sugar did not dissolve, everything crunched. The second time, according to the recipe, I added water to sugar and poured it separately into gelatin, poured it a little by eye to stir it. Sugar was dissolved on very low heat, as gelatin and vanillin were added. So that it does not give off gelatin. Beat less in time and added lemon juice. I liked everything very tasty. Now, as it gets cold, I will try to sculpt and cut the cake tomorrow. Just for yourself. I'll write a report. Thanks for the simple and delicious recipe.

I also cooked it with apples. Something like a marshmallow. Stewed the apples, interrupted with a blender and added to the syrup + gelatin, soda, beat. The apples were red - the cream turned out to be light pink without dyes.
