I rub everything on this grater ... regularly. Press down a little less - the shavings climb
So I'm trying to warn you, otherwise they will swear later

Thanks for the advice. And I'll take a look at the middle grater. Moreover, I now have a Zelmer meat grinder at hand - there are also graters. Large, straight shavings are such that potatoes can be fried. And the small one is not so small. I will compare them with a combine. Maybe I can do without an average. And for potato pancakes, I never used it. I make potato pancakes with a utility knife. I put everything in the bowl at once, and in a minute it's ready.

In a bowl of what, a blender or do you already have some kind of food processor?
subiata
I have an old Philips harvester. I plowed for seven years, now I'm taking him to replace Boshik with cubes.
subiata
I put in a large bowl and chop with a utility knife. In a jug blender I make cocktails, pancake dough. And I also really enjoyed making horseradish. I fall asleep horseradish in pieces, a little beetroot, add salt, vinegar, sugar and a little water (about half the horseradish level, maybe a little more) (sometimes pickle from vegetables) and in the pulse mode I whip it several times. If you prepare a jar in advance, then you can have time to transfer to the jar and wash the blender before the smell appears.
subiata
By the way, I had a Vitek blender and his grater was rubbed with such plump and narrow straws. The pieces were like matches. Very similar to Korean carrots. I liked it. I think I will also like this disc.

At GSL, the price goes up too. And closer to the new year, it will probably rise even more.
Is the French fries attachment worth buying or not? There are several types of them.

One nozzle for fries. It's worth buying if you want semicircular fries. I personally don't like it at all.

No matter how much I asked, the reviews are different. But, rather, it rubs like straws, only smaller and thinner. Now I'll find a photo, someone showed it.
Found in the topic about Bosch cube (they have the same graters)

The difference turned out to be there, but it is probably for aesthetes in cooking. In principle, the julienne will be more beautiful and more correct to cut for some kind of soups, dishes with vegetables, where they float in a heap when served in broth, for example, baking. Or putting vegetables on top of the main product. Purely visual.
The carrots were cut into 3 pieces. The middle part went on a grater, thick on the julienne and the top was laid flat for maximum cutting length.
I bought julienne for 590 rubles. The average cost 480. So I think, maybe I should have bought 2 averages, for a reserve. Since he is the most frequent in work. Julien bought it simply out of greed.
And here are the pictures:

I start with a medium grater top and side view.

Disc julienne, carrots top flat into the loader.
Food processor Bosch MultiTalent MCM68885Food processor Bosch MultiTalent MCM68885

But what remains on the disks after work. There are much more lumps on the disc.
Food processor Bosch MultiTalent MCM68885

Debriefing. Julienne gives a rectangular strip, the edges are different. The thickness of the edge is thinner in comparison with the grater. Visually, in some dishes, it will look more beautiful. But we are not talking about an ideal bar with equal edges. Maybe you need to push hard on the carrots, but the technique is a pity. Although why the julienne should rub the bars, the engineers' idea was probably not about the bar. I saw in the pictures dishes with such a cut, stripes, they look very beautiful.
Placing carrots and other foods flat, along the entire length of the loader, makes very sense.
For pilaf, I would probably choose a grater. A bar is more like a bar. Faster, less waste and less shaking.
The bottom line. If there is no julienne disc at home, do not grieve. Better to start by buying a medium grater. Julien, so in the appendage, if you get caught and money is not a pity. Shoby was.

A little about the free disk. I have a Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry air fryer, tried to cut potatoes of different thicknesses. For this device, a fries disc is not suitable, unless someone likes dried, crispy potatoes. Better to cut at least a centimeter. I suspect the fries are probably for a classic deep fryer.

ps The experiment involved: Combine BOSCH MCM5529, discs Disc-grater / shredder BOSCH MUZ8KP1 and Disc for Julienne BOSCH MUZ8AG1. Not a single animal was injured during the experiment. The carrots were damaged.

I took the harvester yesterday. It was too late and didn’t do much. But I tried the cubes and made a vinaigrette. I chopped raw beets and potatoes, then cucumbers. The cubes are pretty. Manually, of course, they turn out smaller for me, but these also more than suit me. The only thing that bothered me was the assembly of the attachments. I put everything on my old Fillet with one left. No matter how you put it, everything is fine. And here I still have to get used to. But I must say that I have not seen such an assembly system as on Fille on other combines. Unfortunately, even on the new Fili models, there is no such thing. But it's okay, I'll get used to Boshik.
Alenky
Congratulations on your new assistant! Let it only please! And get used to collect! Bosch, yes, until you put everything together correctly, you will not click it, it will not turn on! Safety system!
subiata
Thank you. It will not click on Fillet either, it will not turn on, but it is easier to collect it. Most of all I was puzzled by the graters, barely inserted into the plastic holder. No matter how I turn, everything is skewed.

get used to it !!! For me, it was especially so with the cube at first it was difficult, I did not sit down, and after 5 times of "torment" it is normally inserted, but, of course, I am not "playing" for the sake of one onion.

Hello everybody! I am new to this site.I don’t know who to consult with, the problem of buying a harvester has arisen, I choose between Bosch4855 and Bosch 68885, but in some reviews I read that 68885 smears the dough on the sides of the bowl and does the same with minced meat, who uses it, tell me if this is so. I'm afraid to be disappointed, it costs 11,000 rubles with us, and this is not a little
subiata
To be honest, I have not tried to make minced meat in this combine yet. I made only yeast dough - nothing stuck. But I do not wait for him to spread (if you knead for a long time, then he will have time to both spread and collect back) the dough all over the bowl. As soon as a ball is formed from small crumbs, turn it off. For several years I made minced meat in the same bowl, but only in Fillet. Nothing was smeared. The principle of grinding is the same as when kneading the dough - as soon as the pieces of meat are crushed and begin to stick together into one lump, I turn it off, otherwise it will be very fine. Now there is a meat grinder and I don't use a combine for minced meat. In Bosch 68885, I chopped greens (a bunch of dill) with a utility knife. Judging by it, then nothing should be smeared - he chopped it very evenly and in the process the greens flew from the walls to the center to the knife. In my old Fillet, the greens were not so chopped. I don’t know the 4855 harvester, I didn’t have such a harvester plan. I just read that this design will be more useful for those who bake a lot and often. And 68885 is for those who cook more. I don't play with the test often, maybe once a week, when more often. Such a design of a combine for kneading dough is enough for me. So you need to decide for what work you will often use the harvester.
Tatiana0303
Thank you for responding. I will think, oh hoho
Paul @
I'm all waiting for the combine
But I keep reading the reviews. Here are a few from another forum

Sega19:
Does anyone use the Bosch MCM 64085? Appeared in an online store, and there is almost no information and reviews on this combine.

warmike do not take .. dregs .. bought-handed over back to Mvideo .. the strongest backlash of a plastic bowl .. you can't mix charlotte normally

Sega19 do not take .. dregs .. bought-handed back to Mvideo .. the strongest backlash of a plastic bowl .. you can't mix charlotte normally
A pancake is presented as a novelty and asking for money as a travel thing. Who uses the BRAUN K700PJSJ and PHILIPS HR7762 combines what can you say about these models, and in the BRAUN K700PJSJ you can whip a high-quality milkshake, otherwise his blender bowl is a little different from others.

warmike I was a little mistaken with the model .. I was talking about 68885, but 64085 seems to be the same, apparently without cutting into cubes. The idea is good, it is small, a lot of attachments, but the quality of the workmanship is obscene. Bowl fasteners, plastic - when installed on a combine, I tried to stir a standard charlotte (3 eggs, a glass of sugar, a glass of flour) - although it may not be right, it may not be designed for such loads. The bowl began to swing from side to side - the plastic fasteners on it practically do not hold (this backlash on all copies presented there, I specifically looked) - the resulting mixer beaters touch the bottom with a terrible crack. After examination, return due to defects in fastening .. Again, I think what to take.

Tell me who had similar problems? If you turn on and check the harvester before buying, what to look for? Is it possible, without loading the bowl, to understand if there are any above listed defects?

subiata
I cannot understand what kind of backlash we are talking about. She even deliberately went and pulled the lid on her own. Both the bowl and the lid are firmly attached. I stagger by the neck - the whole combine sways on suction-cup legs, and the bowl with a lid does not budge. If you want to be sure, collect it when you buy. The bottom of the bowl is fixed on the combine. The lid protrudes into the groove at the top of the bowl handle. Everything should be firmly fixed. The 64085 differs from the 68885 in that it has a fries disc instead of an Asian disc. Cubes are available in both models. Where did you read that? Something I have not seen frankly bad reviews about Boch. And even more so about 68885. Reviews are few, but good.
subiata
And the described backlash (if any at all) will manifest itself during the assembly of the combine. It is not necessary to download and enable it for this. But you still need to enable it to check the engine.

It seems to me. that this review was left by a passing peasant. At the Bread Maker the girls experience everything "on their own skin" and then share their experience. I trust the reviews from the Bread Maker more. I chose Bosch only because he is praised here, and these estimates can be trusted. I bought 68885 and have no regrets. I use a little, but I am satisfied. I even got used to collecting the attachments, which at first seemed uncomfortable to me.

Girl readers of this topic. I would like to raise this question. It seems to me that this topic from the advice on buying has already passed into the discussion of the Bosch 68885 combine and it would be more appropriate in the "Combines" section. I myself saw this topic only in new messages (in the column on the right). And before that, I did not even know about the existence of such a combine. Although I read the Combines section regularly about a lot. I already wanted to buy a Bosch 5529, but there were a lot of extra attachments for me. And 68885-in terms of configuration and shape suited me perfectly. Maybe someone is also looking through the "Combines" section, but they won't find anything about this Boshik. He can contact the author of the topic or the administration of the site (I don't know who can do this) to move this topic to another section. Or does it not work out and you need to create a new topic? What do you think? Or did it just seem inconvenient to me?

A very sensible proposal. I myself was already going to buy one of the MUMs, but for me there are many unnecessary attachments in it + the height of the blender.
Then, purely by chance, I found your feedback on the Bosch MCM 68885 This is exactly what I need in terms of functionality and size.
I already want to quickly experience, they are being driven for a long time

Girls, help!
bought with a darling the day before yesterday in Eldorado Boshik. Mommy on DR. We don't understand what the matter is, it seems like we fix everything and turn it on, and the indicator blinks red. What are we doing wrong? I am hysterical, the whole gift is ruined, if it is a malfunction ((you can return it, but there will already be a strong precipitate. Who faced this?

Eva, Bosch is very picky about assembly. Once the indicator is blinking, something is wrongly collected. At first it was like that too. Collect everything carefully again, see that the pointers to the detail (such as a dot or arrow) coincide and everything goes into the necessary grooves, look at the instructions and everything will turn out

I bought 68885 as a present for my mother, but all equipment is not for her. I use it myself, since sometimes I like to cook. Yesterday I chopped meat (beef, 800 g. At a time) and there was no "lump dragging" - I chopped very well and efficiently. The more I use this combine, the more respect it gets from me: shredder, grater, kneading dough, mixer (!), Dicing - all operations and attachments are extremely functional and practical. I have not tried only the blender, but I am sure that it also copes with its tasks at a height.
