Well, I chose for a long time, but in the end I quickly bought one that I had never heard of. So, it is called Tarrington House Ice Cream Maker ICM1400, automatic, cost 5 tons! I did it twice, according to the recipe from Anastasia, I join the army of fans of this recipe, we will experiment on the weekend - I want to make with strawberries and baileys

Good day everyone! So I finally became the owner of the Ice Cream Maker! I chose, not very long ... I wanted Brand - because of its functionality, but my husband has a quiet hysteria from the price So I chose, only we have no information about her on the site

The principle of operation is the same as Brand 3811.

The quality of the plastic is good. The only plastic on the transparent lid seemed fragile to me, but this time will tell! It makes noise - but not like a meat grinder, "you can hear others." When it freezes, it doesn't make much noise, but when the mixer is spinning, you can hear it!

1 cup (250 ml) milk
1 cup (250 ml) high fat cream (40 - 55%)

Yes, so far I can only say good things! Husband, children are eating - they like it! And most importantly, you do not need to prepare for the process in advance (cool the bowl for several hours). Now they insist that every day there was ice cream! Have mastered!
Masinen
I have an ice cream maker, but the usual one. And me. It's terribly annoying that a whole lot of preparation is needed.
Therefore, I am interested in this one, because the price is normal and in appearance pretty)
Mar_k
Yes, she's cute! It was done well, the plastic has no burrs anywhere, everything is smooth and even! The lid closes and opens very easily. There is a latch lock that does not require much force!
I pestered the seller in the Metro with a question, why is it so cheap !? And he told me that this is their Mark, the number of marriages, like everyone else, happens, but no one returned it over the summer! Let's see how it works!
Manna
Marish, congratulations on your purchase!
I correctly understood the instructions that before laying the food, the bucket itself is first cooled (as much as 5 minutes?), Then the food, and then the mixer turns on? And without preliminary cooling, did you try to make an ice cream?
And it makes noise ... what can the noise compare to?

Another question is ripe: do not the motor unit, lid and stirrer understand? Washing is so inconvenient, probably? The question is removed, I already saw everything in the photo

Yes, it is written that you first need to cool! But I saw this line after I made the ice cream, now I don't remember why I opened the instructions! So it works without this cooling! It's the opposite for me - let's do it first, and then read it! I put everything in a bucket (since pouring is not convenient, I do not have a container with a spout, and even so that I can make blanks in it). Closed and turned everything on! As a result, everything worked out!
It makes a noise when, together with a mixer, it is almost like a meat grinder, but when it just freezes, it is quieter two times for sure. How to describe the stirrer - whether it hurts or something, and this creates additional noise! The husband said that as soon as 2 weeks are over, he will disassemble and lubricate everything!

Thanks for the answer Well, that is, pre-cooling can be completely neglected (some extra troubles). It's interesting to see what's inside. Take a picture there when your husband will lubricate. Interestingly, it is the blade mechanism that makes noise or the motor itself.
Does the display show anything during operation (there seems to be a display in the same place)?
Mar_k
Okay, I'll do a photo reportage!
The display shows the cooling temperature during operation!
When I made half a bucket, the temperature at the end of the work was 35 grams, and when I made a whole bucket and the time was 55 minutes, then finally it was 30 grams.

Yes, yes, everything is negative!
Manna
-30 ° С - a wonderful result (you don't need that much).
And how does the mixer behave when the mass thickens? Does it turn itself off, or is it necessary / can it be forcibly turned off?

I quote from the instructions "... When the ice cream of the proper consistency is obtained, the rotation of the kneading blade becomes reversible. This indicates that the ice cream is ready. Reversible rotation of the blade is harmless for the motor, but it is recommended to turn it off. If you want the ice cream to become even thicker, then the cooling process can do not disconnect for another 10-20 minutes. "
Turn off the stirrer yourself!
Manna
ABOUT! I really like this (although I have to look after the ice cream maker, but it's better than listening and watching how she "suffers", but does not turn off)
Mar_k
So they ate a whole bucket of ice cream! Tomorrow I will make from the recipe in the book "Vanilla Ice Cream".

And I'm so lazy to do it ((

The most interesting thing is that they are not enough! They want it every day! And I do it once or twice a week, but for a whole bucket! To do it quickly, I wanted to and did it, there is no need to cool the vessel, some types of ice cream do not require cooking! So I left everything in a blender, whipped it and into an Ice Cream Maker! And that's it, in an hour (40 minutes) it's ready !!!! And enjoy! I didn’t expect such enthusiasm from myself in this area !!!!

Well, today I also became the happy owner of this device. Initially, I wanted to buy a regular one with a saucepan for freezing in the freezer, but I had to abandon this idea, since the temperature in the freezer in the country house is only -12. I had to strangle the toad and buy this one. Although, honestly speaking, I did not think long, very attractive price, I bought it for 5300. It's only a shame that my family did not understand me, they look at me as if I were mentally ill. While the machine is sitting on the table for 12 hours, I will study the recipes. In the booklet there is a recipe with raw eggs.My mom got used to the idea that I paid 5 thousand, but if I still take eggs from her bins, she will not understand this at all. But seriously, I don't want to take raw eggs, it's scary. God forbid that, then they will definitely kick me out along with the ice cream maker.
Mar_k
In the main recipe, eggs are cooked, there are no raw eggs!

2. Beat the egg yolk with sugar for about 3-4 minutes until a light, creamy mass is obtained.
3. Gradually add the hot milk mixture to the beaten egg mass and mix thoroughly.
4. Pour this mixture into a clean saucepan and heat it over low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the mixture thickens and covers the back of the spoon. Do not let the mixture boil or it will curdle.

And if absolutely no eggs, very tasty jelly on flax, or yoghurt, are made with cream, I think you will find ice cream to your liking from a huge list! And kill Mom with this!

Today I made my first ice cream in my life. Everything worked out great. Made by prescription "Sundae according to GOST"... I only did it on the basis of 400 ml of cream of 10% fat, I could not buy others. The rest of the components were roughly counted. I added a little less than half a can of condensed milk with sugar (Rogachevsky). Instead of sugar, I put 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar with vanilla, I didn't add more sugar, I was afraid that it would be very sweet, but it just happened. She beat everything with a mixer, then poured gelatin into it and beat a little more. Gelatin was taken by Doctor Etker, a little less than half a tablespoon without a slide for half an hour soaked in 50 ml of water, then heated in the microwave for several seconds and poured into the mixture while continuing to beat. The only drawback of its ice cream is that it melts very quickly, but in the absence of any chemistry, this is not surprising. They ate half, and put half into the freezer for re-freezing, I wonder what happens, we'll try tomorrow. Next time I'll try adding frozen strawberry puree.
Yes, I forgot to say about the only "blunder" in the cooking process. After 30 minutes of stirring, the stirrer began to turn, I turned it off and decided to freeze it a little more without stirring. This was my mistake. The stirrer was frozen, so it was impossible to remove the lid. I had to leave it as it is, for several minutes it all stood while I figured out what to do. Then she shook the lid and it took off, and the stirrer remained in the bucket. She already took it out easily. Conclusion - if you leave ice cream in the ice cream maker, then the mixer must be removed.

You are great! I'm glad that the first experience was a success! How did mom like it?

The book says that if we want to freeze a little more, the mixer can be turned off! In general, without any problems during the opening of the lid, the stirrer is removed and remains in the bowl, then I pull it out! Yes, if the ice cream froze well! good luck with your experiments!

Mom liked the ice cream, and the grandson was generally delighted. Maybe I did everything right, but when I began to unscrew the lid, it moved a little, and then nothing else. I was afraid to pull harder, panicked, because the first time - it's scary to break. I decided to leave this recipe as a basis for now, I liked that it does not contain raw eggs, and the taste is like a real ice cream.I will now experiment with different additives. While happy as an elephant.
