Apple Mosaic Pie with Nut Crust

Ingredients

For the test:
butter 120 g
sugar 150 g
eggs 4 things
flour 250 g
baking powder 1 tsp
salt 1 pinch
For filling:
apples (preferably sour) 700 g
butter 50 g
walnuts 80 g
Brown sugar 3 tbsp. l.
cinnamon pinch

Cooking method

  • The pie turns out to be unusually juicy and crunchy at the same time, the recipe was found in the old magazine "Liza" 2005 March.
  • To prepare the dough, grind softened butter with sugar and salt, gradually beat in the eggs. Sift flour with baking powder, add to the egg mass and mix well. Heat the oven to 180 gr. Lubricate the detachable mold 26 (diameter) with oil (I have a regular silicone mold with a diameter of 23 cm).
  • Wash, peel and cut the apples in half. Core with seeds and immediately sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Grate 1 apple and mix with dough.
  • Put the dough into the prepared dish and flatten. Put the remaining halves of the apples with the cut down, making preliminary cuts on them from the outside of the diamond shape. Press the apples lightly into the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Grate cold butter on a coarse grater and mix with chopped walnuts and put on the dough between apples. Sprinkle sugar over the cake.
  • Bake 50 minutes (it took me 1 hour).
  • Remove the finished cake from the oven, let it cool slightly and remove from the mold. Allow to cool completely.

SanechkaA, came with a report !! Made your pie today. Everything is very simple. but also very tasty. The nut crust and whole, almost baked apples give this cake a special flavor. I liked it very much. But I got it wrong. With so many apples, I was greedy and put too few apples for a cake of this diameter. Where apples have come across, the taste is divine (the words of the son-in-law. They do not eat pies and cakes in the evenings.) Next time I will put more apples so that they come across in each piece when cutting.

I baked at 180 *, but only 40 minutes. Apparently baking time depends on the oven. That was enough for me.
