Tomato juice in a Philips multicooker

Ingredients

fresh tomatoes

Cooking method

  • It would be silly not to bring delicious tomatoes from Ukraine. But the roads are roads, a small part of the tomatoes have lost their presentation. I decided to make tomato juice. What is easier: put in a juicer and, please, a glass of fresh tasty juice. It wasn't like that. Bork swallowed all the tomatoes in a couple of minutes and gave into a glass clearly separated light transparent liquid and a red cap of thick on top. As they said in childhood: neither drink nor throw away. I got on the Internet, it turns out that tomato juice must be brought to mind by properly cooking it. And the correctness lies in the fact that the juice must be brought to a boil quickly enough, otherwise it will stratify, and constantly make sure that the juice does not flow out onto the stove during the boil. Both tasks were easily solved by the multicooker. I poured the juice into the bowl, set the Cooking program, by default for 30 minutes, and turned it off 15 minutes after boiling. It turned out to be a very tasty juice. The salt was added directly to the glass before use.

Interestingly, Tanyush, in any cartoon you can do this delight with tomatoes, and if you hold the tomato paste longer, will it work?

I think it will not work in any. Philips has a program called Cook. I just didn't know what to cook with this program. It cooks like a saucepan on gas, over high heat, everything boils, boiling comes very quickly. In my panasik there is no such function, everything is slow, measured. And for the juice you need a quick boil. I think if you hold it a little longer, something similar to tomato paste will turn out, but not quite what we are used to. And for tomato paste you need not juice, but tomato pulp.
Once a technologist said that tomato paste is prepared in vacuum devices.

And in Panasonic, what mode should I set, steaming?
Larissa, I have not tried in Panas. That is, you want to pour squeezed juice into the saucepan, not water? But it seems to me that it will not boil quickly anyway and the layering will remain. In a film, the juice boils with seething in almost a minute or two.
