Ironing surface heating temperature 70

The first time I read it, I decided that an iron was not needed here at all. that this is a type of press ... But the press must have a lid, but it is not here ... So the iron is needed ...

Aunt Besya, well, you gave the heat ... Fifteen tyshsh for the ironing board ...

Not ... I don't play like that ... fifty tyshsh for a robot ironer, I understand (although I don't understand where to shove it), but a board for that kind of money ...

I have Leifheit Airboard for many years. I'm very happy! The surface is made of a material that reflects the steam, thus making ironing easier. Folds with one finger, can be moved with one hand - lightweight.

There is a video with a very similar, but probably newer model. Everything is as in the video. Only when I iron, I don't smile like that)))

Thank you girls! Somehow it just so happened - you trust your people immediately and unconditionally! Boom to order!
Creamy, and I have Demena (steam cleaner) and an iron (also with a cork handle) joins him. Will it fit? Or is there any surface?

Aunt Besya I support. This is a semblance of professional boards, a worthwhile thing.
Creamy
Aunt Besya, if you have a steam station with an iron on a cork handle - then this is a professional set and you just need the same ironing board to match it. "Lelit", as you have shown, is a good brand, assembled in Italy, well known to garment workers, they are used in garment factories, ateliers and laundries. Different models for small industries and for large enterprises. I chose my model for a long time and carefully from many candidates.

I am not going to buy myself a board because I have an ironing system. But exclusively for "general development" I wonder ... how on this board the vacuum-pressurization functions switch? A pedal? Is the fan speed adjustable? how?
Creamy
Switching modes from vacuum to blowing is carried out by pressing a button on the panel. And there is a foot pedal too. The fan speed is constant, not adjustable. Such a board with a steam generator cost me 25,000 rubles. A steam station for 80,000 or 100,000 rubles is, alas, very expensive for me.

Yes, I’m talking about the pedal and ask that I saw it in the picture. What are the functions of the foot pedal? Does it duplicate mode switching?

In my system, all control of the board is on the iron button: short press - pressurization, long press - vacuum, double short - switch speed.
Creamy
The function of the foot pedal is as follows: if the blowing mode is enabled on my panel, this does not mean that blowing is continuously blowing, I turn the blowing on by pressing the foot pedal, then. when I need it. I pressed the pedal with my foot - I started blowing. let go - blowing or vacuum has stopped. I hold the iron with one hand (my thumb rests on the steam button). on the other I hold the thing that I iron, and when I need to turn off or turn on the blower or vacuum during ironing, I press the pedal with my foot. Something like that.
lega
Wonderful! As a result, it turns out that in my expensive Laura there is only an additional opportunity to change the fan speed. To be honest, I almost never switch. The question is, why pay extra? I have had this Laura for a long time already, then there was no ironing abundance. Now, perhaps, I would acquire such a set as yours.

Girls, but there are models with a pedal and without a pedal. With a pedal, on average, it is cheaper than those where it says "push-button control".But as you say, it turns out that the pedal is more comfortable? What then is the meaning of the rise in price. I definitely won't have anything on the iron, because I have the iron from the Domain steam cleaner, it has only one steam button. : girl_red: Two models were recommended in the online store, they say they have proven themselves well in operation, good price-quality ratio, characteristics are as follows:

the price tag is the same, what do you say?
Creamy
Yes, they are practically equally good, only the legs of the first model seem to me more stable. But it seems to me, I may well be wrong.
lega
Aunt Besya, there seem to be some inaccuracies in the description. The first (German board) has a maximum power of 1350W. The Italian one has 450 watts. The strange thing is that the German iron heats the ironing surface to 40 - 45 degrees, and the Italian to 70. The question is - where does the power of the German board go? on the fan? Then either the Italian inflates less, and this is important! or the instructions are incorrect.

If we compare in other parameters, then the German ironing surface itself is slightly larger - this is useful! especially when you iron curtains or long trousers with large things (after all, there are large men).

There are also wheels in the description, but they are not in the pictures. I would check with the consultants, because with the declared weight of the board of 14-16 kg, carrying it on the belly is not very and great, it is unlikely that you have a special utility room in an ordinary apartment where it will be constantly laid out. And the declared weight itself raises questions. There is also no boiler or iron attached. Then where do these kilograms come from? Mine with a heavy boiler and an iron weighs 13kg.

How important is the heating temperature of the ironing surface of 40 or 70 degrees I cannot say, because my system does not have such a function at all ... It's a pity, because if you iron a lot, it starts dripping from below, and if you fold the undried system right away, then later all this condensation flows into the cover and stains on it.
Creamy
My board heats up by itself, which of course is very convenient. And the weight of one board, without a steam generator, is 15 kg.
Aunt Besya
Yeah, you see, you need to ask the managers more questions :) I asked why the heating temperature is lower at higher power, I did not hear anything good
Aunt Besya
Well, in general, I ordered a Leifheit AirActive L 76074, German, her weight turned out to be 8.8 (crooked description on the website), so light because it is made of carbon fiber, which heats up better than metal, a cover made of non-stick material. Now I will wait, as I test the current, I will immediately report
Alinka
I am now choosing an ironing board too. Very useful temka! Thank you girls!

Tomorrow mine will come ... I am saving up my laundry (may the fairies forgive me)!

The board came, she's hefty! In the instructions, in contrast to the description on the site, not a word about heating .. The platform for the steam generator is huge, it is designed specifically for the installation of the steam generator and is not intended to put the actual iron on it. In general, I'm a little at a loss. The first question is that silicone baking mats will not work if you lay it on this platform and put the iron with the sole. The design of the iron before my steam pipe is such that it is unstable on the priest

You can better not use baking mats, but different silicone coasters for hot. So that the iron does not stand tight. In my Laura there is a rounded iron in the "bottom", you can only put it flat on. Complete with the system, it is the silicone stand for the iron that comes.

I have never even seen such, or did not pay attention.I urgently need to think about where to get it
Aunt Besya
Well, actually, yesterday I stroked! On a new board!
The place where I usually iron is now a bit cramped! Overall, I liked it !! It is actually more convenient to iron men's shirts and delicate fabrics. Yesterday, for example, I ironed a few silk shirts and a couple of my blouses, with the blow-blow mode is much easier - and do not fidget on the board and do not reach for the iron!
I didn’t like only one thing - the board is too long. If you iron, for example, a shirt, pulling it over the narrowed edge in order to put the iron on the platform, the arm is not long enough, you have to step over.
It is light, although large, and in the folded position only perched on the loggia, and it is easy to disassemble and assemble!

Yes, you probably need to get used to. I always have a special nozzle on my iron - a textile protector, it protects the fabric. I take it off only if I iron cotton or linen (and I hardly iron it) So the cover will not burn. So I just throw the iron in any place convenient for me and it is not at all necessary to reach the stand. You do not iron a shirt or a blouse with a super-hot iron either, and you only put the iron on to turn the blouse over with the other edge, that is, not for long. Nothing will happen with that case, run back to the stand.

Hivemind is a great thing.I used my ironer and did not suspect that it was not a smoothing iron, but a misunderstanding. I read the topic, got interested, went and bought, though to my parents' apartment, a German Leifheit Airboard ironing board. I am delighted with this board. Lightweight, just the lightest, it is designed so that you can iron while sitting, which I used, it is very comfortable to sit and iron, you never get tired, and somehow unnoticeably ironed everything, heat-conducting thermoplastic, things are ironed out instantly. I ironed bedclothes, towels, and my parents had a lot of linen things, which, in order to iron them, had to apply strength, I ironed on this board at the temperature mode "Silk", it was enough just to carry out the iron and the thing was smoothed. Effortlessly, without fatigue, the heap of linen was ironed with excellent results, and even with energy savings. In short, thanks to everyone who opened this topic.
Rita
Galina, congratulations on your new assistant!
What board do you have?
Galin
The board is called LEIFHEIT 72510 AIRBOARD M PLUS. "Steam ironing on an air cushion for all types of steam irons. The new thermo-light plastic surface allows you to iron faster, easier, softer. The steam iron glides on the steam pillow, which it itself produces due to the reflection of steam" - this is how they write in the annotation and plus up to 30% energy saving (which I was convinced of personally).
Now I want to buy one for myself.
Creamy
I recently washed my windows and decided to hang natural linen curtains. You yourself know how to iron them. The curtains are oversized and difficult to iron even on a special board. So I decided to iron on the large kitchen table. I stroked one curtain. A thought entered my head, why am I ironing with an ordinary iron? I brought a steam generator with an iron into the kitchen, plugged it into a grounded outlet, it was made under a dishwasher, especially for a heavy load. But then I put the dishwasher in another place. And this additional grounded outlet for a heavy load turned out to be very handy, it is very convenient to connect a steam generator in the kitchen for ironing large-format products like curtains. Very conveniently and very quickly and efficiently ironed the linen curtains on the large kitchen table. I hung a set of two curtains in the bedroom, one ironed with an ordinary iron, the other with a steam generator. While stroking, I did not see much difference. But as soon as I hung up the curtains, I moved away from the window and the difference was very noticeable. So now my steam generator sometimes leaves the interactive whiteboard and flies to large airfields, like the kitchen table.

No, the mesh did not sag and the fasteners did not loosen - everything is functioning properly! Except that I burned it through - I left it (and not at all for a long time, about 5 minutes at most) the Domain Iron, standing "on the priest" .... well, the vaunted carbon coating is not so resistant .. it melted notably along the contour standing iron! Sadness ... But this is how my grandmother used to say "glass genitals for a week"

A question to the owners of Leifheit Airboard with a "thermoplastic surface with vapor reflection effect" https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...071.0
I now have an ironing board "Soviet-style", there are no holes for steam, the base is solid wooden, when ironing and steaming with an iron, everything is fine, but when ironing with a steam station, steam from the board "hits" upward and burns my hand. How much does this very thermoplastic surface reflect steam? Can I use the steam station on the Leifheit Airboard?
ellen
Ladies, I have a Leifheit Airboard ironing board. The assistant obligingly broke my cord antenna.
Is there such a device on sale separately? Or what I can replace.
Another point: I bought a new board cover, I did not immediately see that the icon of an iron with steam was crossed out on it.
It turns out that you screwed up?
Tricia
I ask for advice!
On my board (a regular metal one with holes for steam), the cover slipped off and there was no way to pull it back, because the rubber band / glue that held this cover along the edge lost its adhesive ability.
Stitching the elastic along the edge is not an option, since the cover sits loosely when ironing and crawls when shifting / shifting the linen.
The purchased Teflon cover with a drawstring did not fit - it slides and turns, slides off when ironing ...
How to sprinkle the old cover back or what to do to prevent the cover from crawling over the board?
ellen
OykaAs I understand it, for a steam station with a powerful supply of steam, it is better when this steam passes through.
I have the same concern, I wrote above, the restriction on the use of steam irons is indicated on the cover for this board.
I haven't used it yet, in thought ..

Tatyana, so the board itself is metal - my stapler will not pierce it, although it is quite powerful. And there is nothing to sew on, that's the point: the base is metal, there is nothing to catch on.

Mmm ... I sewed thin ribbons on the corners from the wide side to the old cover and passed them through the holes in the board. And on top I pulled a Teflon cover. It turned out to be noticeably wider than the board itself, turned up from below with a wide border. So this whole structure holds up perfectly. For some reason.)))

My Laura has native covers with an elastic band around the perimeter. From age, the elastic fell into disrepair and the cover began to fall off. In some places, I ripped up this girdle and with difficulty, but still dragged in a regular cotton keeper tape, left rather long tails and tightened it in a knot, putting a cover on the board. While everything suits me, it does not crawl much.
