Are there Kirby owners here? You're happy? what attachments do you use most often? and which ones you don't use at all? have you ever given them a massage? I have such a vacuum cleaner, but I hardly know how to use it. I use only for dry cleaning of carpets, for chemical. cleaning carpets, sofas, pillows, mattresses and blankets. that's all. but, I know that it still has a bunch of functions, but I can't figure out which ones.
YanOchka-
: flowers: He washes windows great, who does not mind shampoo. On a dirty window, especially outside in hard-to-reach places, sprinkle the window with a simple spray bottle, that is, moisten (you can try with water, if shampoo is expensive), then apply the foam nozzle (you can overlap) with a zigzag foam, starting from the top, 2-3 furrows and wait. The foam under its own weight begins to slide down, sliding the floor over the wet glass, and cleans the ITSELF. Your only job is to add foam if it is all melted or the window is large. Cleans without streaks, streaks. Try small sizes first. I experimented with polished furniture instead of polish. I will notice that there are kids at home, and the spots are not only from the fingers, but also from everything that has been in the fingers.
Lilyanna
GREAT! Only I didn't understand what kind of shampoo? a specialist in their company ordered, for washing windows? but about furniture polish, is it well thought out, is there also some special shampoo or was it bought in a regular store?
YanOchka-
Yes, no Kirby Shampoo, that's why I write, if not expensive. There is also a bottle of 330ml. = 750 rubles, 900gr = about 1200 or 900 (I don't remember exactly) We were talking about Kirby's multifunctionality? This is one of its possibilities. of all functions, so as not to lie or 70 or 90
Lilyanna
I bought shampoo from them, but I only washed the carpet for them, because it did not even occur to them that they could wash something else, and when it was over, I bought a regular carpet cleaner in the store. Perfectly, by the way, cleans, no worse than the brand. So it will be possible to try somehow to clean the furniture with a regular furniture polish, instead of an expensive kirbine shampoo. in the extreme case, the focus will fail, I will not be upset. the more glass I still have with my miracle rags, maybe you know, 2 in a set, one for washing, the other for wiping. but the frames, if they get dirty, you can try to wash them with a kirby, I think it's convenient. although I wipe them once a week with a rag in the summer so that they always remain clean ... and in the winter once a month))
YanOchka-
Kirby has all the foam. It is "dry", that is, it does not stick like others, and there is no roughness of the pile and "crunch" of unrinsed powder like from vanish. Therefore, it will not be possible to completely replace it, but you can save some money here and there. For example, if you wash windows with it, then it creates an antistatic effect and dirt, dust on the windows and, accordingly, the furniture shrinks less. We will treat it with Vanish or another sticky product ... The effect will also be predictable. We must count on this. Let's say, occasionally wipe it off, washing off the remnants of various products from furniture with a polish. But in the foam, I think the polish will not go astray. I do this: I spray it on the furniture with an ordinary spray, and then with a massage nozzle (we put on a felt cloth from the kit, or, again in order to save money, a microfiber cloth "Magnet" for 17 rubles) I rub and polish. Easy to put on with snaps.
But in general, it is certainly possible to use the washing attachment with other means, it does not matter which means to churn into foam. If only the funds were not for floor cleaning machines, this is important, because such products are with reduced foaming.
By the way, this attachment, with a construction sandpaper on it, is convenient not only to clean the hood of the car before painting, but also to arrange a spa for the heels of the house.it is important to overdo it and do this procedure carefully, with the finest sandpaper. it seems the zero is called. a similar one is in the set.

Moreover, the person himself continues to use the remote control for the TV and the washing machine (well-known Brands - often imposed by advertising), and does not at all consider this a "REDUCER".

My mom has. I scolded scared when she got this vacuum cleaner ... Well, in general, she is happy, she says that this vacuum cleaner is better than a simple one. I don’t know ... I doubt it, I haven’t tried it. But the neighbor took a vacuum cleaner for a test. She said that there is no difference if you use it without shampoo.
Lilyanna
in theory, one time and you will not notice the difference. I also swore when my husband bought it. and after 3 years I realized that the difference is huge. soft green carpet as good as new so far. in exploitation just everything. plugged in, pressed the button - 5 minutes and the carpet is clean. once a month I wash it with shampoo. 2 times with simple, 1 time with branded. I am allergic and usually in a room with carpets I start sneezing if, for example, I do not spend the night at home. but at home it's normal, I vacuum every day in the morning and there are no problems. once a month I take off the brush and clean it from dust with a special tool. I change the dust bag about once a year. the main thing during the inspection is to do, then he will calmly work his declared 30-50 years))

Carpet is cool, though not in trend, especially for allergy sufferers
Lilyanna
I also found a use for it. I cleaned a huge blanket on the sofa. Naturally, it does not fit into the washing machine, it is so-so expensive to take it to the dry-cleaner, almost half the cost of the blanket itself. so I spread it out on the floor and cleaned it in 10 minutes. how new became))

Oh, don't do Kirby ads, this vacuum cleaner is not worth it
Kirby is "getting on a needle" at distributors. Every time they find any breakdowns and put them up for money, the cord is cracked (they could not even find where this crack is), they immediately draw up an act, urgently change it, we do not bear responsibility ... the cost of replacing a cord with a plug is 6 thousand rubles ... and so on Further.
And I would not say that it cleans the kirby better than my dyson ... and it’s very hard to carry the kirby around the apartment (even on wheels).
It turned out to be a problem to clean the mattress in general, since the block-nozzle is so heavy and non-rotating that you drag it onto the bed and then crawl it over it ...

Dyson has been making replacement parts for five years free of charge, and changing the cord with a plug ... it’s just non-negotiable, little things in life

But the neighbor took a vacuum cleaner for a test. She said that there is no difference if you use it without shampoo.
"vacuuming" and "no shampoo" are separate topics of conversation. Because as a shampoo, it performs its function as a washing machine, washes the villi and the base (and without damaging it at all) from the dirt embedded in it. He simply pushes this dirt out. I had it like this:
- My aunt gave me her rug, due to the appearance of a woolen cat, and I decided to "wash" in the room, since there is something. but one gray spot stubbornly did not want to be removed, and then she decided to take it out into the yard and corrode it in the old grandfather's way, that is, with a hose filled with water and an ordinary detergent. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the water was flowing down transparent and clean. How. and the stain ..... only after treatment with bleach, which by the way did not help, I realized that it was simply burnt out in this place. itself is beige with chocolate, but for some reason burned out in the corner not whitish, but somehow gray with greens. In general, I wasted it with water, the shampoo did it perfectly well.
But about "vacuuming", or rather knock out. The action of the vacuum cleaner is based on the suction of crumbs, small debris and, of course, dust from the surface. The more power, the stronger the suction force and the deeper penetration for processing - these are the basics, everyone knows them. So this machine has a very high power, plus a turbo brush, they are increasingly used in their new products by other manufacturers, since such a structure of the brush pile allows you to comb out the rubbed in dirt. But .... there is still a knockout moment, which is not in other devices (patent). He literally shakes and knocks out the carpet at a breakneck speed. Thanks to this, it is possible to knock out the bed 20 cm mattress from the bed and the feather bed without removing them.
The conclusion, or rather the "visibility" of the difference, should be obvious.
And at the expense of allergens - in the process of human life, skin flakes flake off and remain on the upholstery of sofas, carpet, bedding, pillows. Ticks feed on these particles, leaving their excrement in return, and all this accumulates, decomposes and rot, and we accordingly sleep, breathe in and fight our own allergy to dirt. Our grandmothers took out featherbeds, linen in the sun, because mites die in the ultraviolet rays. By the way, the pillows brought in after being roasted by the sun have a different smell. in modern conditions, this procedure is more difficult and more laborious. So it turns out that if the dirt particles are knocked out, then there is no food for the ticks, there are no ticks, there are no allergens. therefore asthmatics and allergy sufferers breathe freely in the "carpet" treated rooms. And 140 thousand .... health is worth it. (by the way, there are sales and markdowns of 35-45 thousand)

There are unscrupulous workers in every company and store, but you shouldn't "crawl" on the bed and even more so to strain, you need to switch the speed and he will drive himself, just guide.

By the way, it was about technology, not about unscrupulous distributors.

If we talk about kirbi, then this is interconnected, since when buying, a purchase agreement is mandatory (with a record of the individual number of the kirbi), and the promise of maintenance, control, and so on ... and the contract is concluded not by an ordinary distributor from the street, but official the seller's representation.

At first it was very interesting and pleasant, the first six months, while the vacuum cleaner is completely new, and even pride in the company that such service conditions.
But then it rained down: you need to change it, you need it, you ... you ... you ... and so on ... and everywhere there is a lot of money ... and if you don’t change it, we will draw up an act, remove it from maintenance and so on ... went a real obsessive blackmail for the purchase of spare parts, shampoos, gaskets, rubber bands, rollers and so on. The last bill for replacing kirby parts was about 10 thousand! This is a vacuum cleaner that worked for about six months! Including replacement of the cord with a plug 6 thousand! I invited a professional electrician to her place, together they were looking for a cut-break in the cord - they never found it!

When I saw it, I immediately sold (thank God, I could do it!) Kirby! It was a long time ago, but they still call me on the phone and set a date for the next inspection of the vacuum cleaner, and do not even react to my complaints that I no longer have a vacuum cleaner ... in the end, I just began to hang up without any further conversation
By the way, Kirby worked for the new owner for a long time, he never complained about the wire and plug!

And I do not believe that such an attitude is only towards me, and the rest of the Kirby owners will pass it ... just read the reviews on the internet about it.

I don’t want to talk or discuss this model anymore: it’s not worth the Kirby, and it’s right before it said "razvodilovo"

And to buy or not is the business of each of us!
Lilyanna
We have the device under warranty and there were no problems. The master comes every two years, examines the vacuum cleaner, writes an act and takes it for maintenance. In return, by the way, it leaves a replacement one. At MOT it is disassembled, cleaned, all consumables are replaced, lubricated where necessary, polished and brought in a new state. about the cord, indeed, they warned that the warranty does not apply to it, so it must be handled carefully. Everything else is a guarantee. and if something breaks, even the motor, even the brushes, or anything, everything is replaced by the company, free of charge, of course. after the end of the factory warranty, it is better to extend it, conclude a contract with the company, THAT will be paid, but it costs quite reasonable money. When they brought me a soap cleaner after MOT, I first decided that they confused the device and brought a completely new one, because they polished it and replaced everything they could, but I recognized it by the number.
sazalexter
Lilyanna As a person associated with the service not by hearsay, I can say that you paid for all these actions with interest by buying a vacuum cleaner. In a normal vacuum cleaner, except for filters, nothing needs to be changed for 10 years, that's for sure, and then it will simply turn into dust or become obsolete. And even more so there is nothing to lubricate there (closed bearings are used) and polish.Although, as they say for your money, any whim
Lilyanna
The vacuum cleaner in the service is completely disassembled, cleaned and everything that is needed is replaced. That is, everything that is not made of metal. Polishing it on the outside to make it shine like new. But, nevertheless, its trick is in simplicity and purity. As I said, I have something to compare with. I am not persuading anyone to buy it. The thing is really expensive, not everyone can afford it. But good things are rarely cheap. I also like the fact that it doesn’t have to be prepared for work every time, plugged it into the outlet, pressed the button, vacuum cleaned, turned off the button and pulled the cord out of the outlet. All. No need to get it out of the closet, put on the attachments, then wipe them, fold them back, etc. And yet, the most important thing is the ability to live in a room with a carpet and not worry about allergic reactions.
AlKA
But the topic was not about whether it was divorced or not.
It was asked if there are users and how they use Kirby's advanced features.
If a person has already bought and uses, what can we say about razvodilovo now?
We have also had this vacuum cleaner for many years and I have never had any regrets about buying or replacing it with another one. Well, I had the opportunity to buy and bought it. I still use it successfully. I know all the issues with the service, just obsessive offers can be carefully rejected.
I would also love to read about additional functions, I know that there are a lot of them and not all I use,
but as soon as the conversation about Kirby comes up somewhere, they immediately move to the razvodilovo.
And the question was about something else.
Probably just really there are no active users and no one will answer on the topic. Sorry((
Lilyanna
Actually, it is thanks to the service that he will not crumble into dust in 10 years, but will live, I hope, a long life, since all plastic and rubber parts are replaced on time. And nothing will happen to metal in 50 years.

And if you lower the price to 35,000 and sell through the retail network, then how? Will the product be good? Demand creates supply, when the market is saturated with this technical innovation, the price will fall. In the states, it is acceptable and is not viewed as a luxury, the device justifies itself at 100, and it is appreciated there for it. Good day everyone
I will share my experience of using Kirby (except for dusting, cleaning furniture and the like).
I use a Zipbrush brush to clean black cashmere (and not only) coats - villi, dust particles and various "garbage" always stick to them
I use the curtain attachment to refresh them between washes (I love fresh air and therefore balconies and windows are almost always open or ajar - and very fine, but tangible dust settles on the curtains)
I massage and clean my animal with a special attachment for animals - I have a light beige Amstaff Terrier dog. And it looks like my Lakusa really likes it. As soon as I turn on Kirby, she is instantly there (even if she slept before, hiding in bed under a blanket) And when I vacuum her neck, she already stretches her out of pleasure (although the pleasure is still - the sound of an airplane taking off right next to my ear).
I also really like the long flexible nozzle with a brush at the end for cleaning radiators. Before the repair we had cast iron batteries. Their washing turned into torture: it was impossible to get between the sections, the cast iron was rough and scratched his hands brrrrr. And the nozzle made its way easily, the brush at the end is stiff and cleaned off the dust that was already sucked into the pipe "in flight".
By the way, my friend sometimes invites me in the company of my Kirby to clean her apartment, although she has a powerful vacuum cleaner and she uses it regularly.
I would be glad if my experience is useful
Lilyanna
Thank you)) I tried to clean the radiators with this brush, it is really convenient)) I used it very rarely before, only when I cleaned the space behind the sofa so as not to move it away. and the radiators (I have just cast-iron, Soviet ones) have always been wiped with a rag, but it is not very convenient there, but it turned out quickly and efficiently with a brush! And I also refreshed the sheepskin coat, rather out of any care than out of necessity, but it is also very convenient, you can clean it from time to time in winter.

.... distributors engage in conversation "older customers who cannot resist aggressive sales efforts to sell them." The Wall Street Journal cites an example in which an elderly couple was unable to remove three Kirby salesmen from their home for over five hours; in another example, a disabled woman who lived alone in a $ 1,000 a month Social Security trailer and suffered from Alzheimer's had two Kirby vacuums, one of which cost $ 1,700. In 2002, Florida Agriculture and the Consumer Services Commissioner received $ 13,000 in reimbursement in cases brought against Kirby by 13 retirees.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the device "costs more than four times the price of other premium vacuum cleaners." Kirby compares the difference in price for its unit between a luxury and a subcompact car, yet “luxury car dealers do not visit their customers in trailers. But Kirby dealers do it. "

For our family, 140 thousand for a vacuum cleaner is almost unrealistic. So the esteemed Kirby adepts can take my word out of my mouth right away. But here's what's important. When I plan any, even an inexpensive, purchase available to me, the same multicooker, I last but not least look at whether the manufacturer is in contact with consumers, and how exactly he contacts. For me, this is one of the criteria for product quality. And so - such obsessive unpleasant marketing is sooo repelling from the Kirby.
Sorry for the sharpness. just the other day they called again and sang in such a pleading voice at first: have Kirby ever come to you? When? Oh, so long ago .. you understand, it's free for you, and the company pays for every trip to us ... it doesn't oblige you to anything ... I refuse, a few more attempts on her part - "Well, let's clean the carpet, it will smell." And then, clearly angry, hangs up without a "goodbye".
And cheap, by the way, yes. I also remembered these ridiculous offers from the distributor - to pay right now - to urgently take a loan, borrow somewhere, almost kill the old woman ... And my aunt was also very angry when she failed to process me. Such an unpleasant climb into my wallet and into my life.
Maybe the local forum Kirby owners are lucky with distributors, or maybe distributors behave decently with those who immediately agree to buy. Although Admin posts are something quite predictable for me.
Vita_K
Good evening everyone
I read the posts and do not recognize my respected members of the forum, usually so kind and sympathetic, benevolent and tolerant (in their topics). So much aggression and negativity
But in this thread there are no offers for sale, no assurances of "the impossibility of existence without the miracle unit kirby." Only the exchange of experience with the owners of Kirby, who in the context of some comments automatically fall into the category of "victims of razvodilov".
We live in a time of aggressive advertising. And the call "buy" (explicit or implicit) surrounds us everywhere. But everyone decides for himself what to spend his own money on, comparing the price of the product and its value (significance, convenience, necessity) for himself personally.
I agree that Kirby is a very expensive device. Not being a wealthy person, I don't have the habit of wasting money thoughtlessly. But not once in 5 years have I regretted the money spent on it (although I bought on credit and my husband at the same time asked me several times "am I sure that I am ready to give SUCH money for THIS !?"). And now, if there was an opportunity to turn back time, I would buy it again.
For me personally, cleaning an apartment where 3 people and a dog live (of which guests do not come only to the dog) is a routine process that takes time (which I want to spend on pleasant things) and energy (with a sore back), which are less and less over the years ... And for what makes my life easier and turns necessity into pleasure, I personally am ready to pay (within the limits of my very modest possibilities). After all, you can knead the dough by hand, but many are willing to pay for KitchenAid, and pizza can be baked in the oven, while others prefer an expensive pizza oven. And if for one person a thing seems completely useless, then for another it is a faithful and irreplaceable helper. And there are many examples of this on the forum. And the right to find fault with someone else's choice is undoubtedly a matter of education
It's great for me when the money spent on the device makes work easier and frees up time (and you can't buy it for any money). To do this, we both share experiences and learn from each other.
And thanks to this forum, dearly loved by me, I learned a lot, for which I thank ALL participants.

I understand that this concerns my post, where I hung up.
Is it tactful for a distribution company to constantly call my personal space once a quarter and offer their services? And at the same time send constantly SMS to your mobile with suggestions? Moreover, after I explained the situation that I sold this vacuum cleaner, delete me from the service lists and so on ... so it was easier for me not to explode with emotions towards the company's staff again, but just hang up without answering more on calls. No calls yet ... I don't know how long this will last.

Therefore, try on the behavior of the distributors, and appreciate this kind of intrusion into my privacy and the life of my family.
And if you consider that an elderly person who does not possess information, with a weak hearing, sore legs, and, moreover, an old person can approach the city phone, in order to get off the sofa, reach the phone, and so on ... but the old person is waiting for me the call comes to me, but here ...

"I refuse, a few more attempts on her part -" Well, let's clean the carpet, it will smell. " And then, clearly angry, hangs up without a "goodbye".

Lena, sorry, so I understood from the text And did not want to offend with my text

Well, nevertheless, the situation I described takes place, let it remain in the topic, as a characteristic of the representatives-distributors of Kirby vacuum cleaners

And just do ... I went from this topic, too painful situation ...

Good evening everyone, and I want to tell my sad story of using a miracle vacuum cleaner. About five years ago, and I bought a miracle equipment for 30,000 hryvnias, on credit, to be honest, the distributor began to press us that we, like idiots, were led, and that for 2 days I was afraid to approach him and then, well, what to do you bought you need to use. I also want to say that I was very worried about such a road purchase as I even regretted it. And for the first time when we vacuumed him, the belt burst and I demanded my patience to take my vacuum cleaner and return the money to me. And after millions of persuasions from the company and my threats, somewhere in a week they took this vacuum cleaner from us and 3 thousand hryvnia, for the fact that we used it. Although for the most part I was all the same if only they took him away.
The guy who gave it to me freaked out that he would not go to Italy for me, because I returned the vacuum cleaner and this would affect his work, although he was pushy to the point of annoyingly.
I won't say anything about the work, because it's not particularly noticeable a couple of times. Although I still do not regret that I brought him back.

Dear forum users! Once again, I urge you to write on the topic! I am interested in ONLY REVIEWS OF REAL OWNERS! Not even reviews, but advice on how best to use this unit. A very useful review was left by Vita_K, JanOchka-, and a few more reviews. This is exactly what I would like to see in this thread. And all the rest, those who have never bought and will never buy this device, we ask you very much, if you really want to express your opinion about the "razvodilov", your guesses and doubts, please go to the corresponding sites where they communicate on this topic, since there are already enough such links. I repeat:
This topic was created for the exchange of EXPERIENCES, and not for meaningless and useless arguments.
Thank you for understanding .
