The jar can be ordinary glass. I don't know about the sleeve, but if there is no rug, you can put a small towel

Thank you

GirlsBefore boiling, wrap the jar with stretch film in several layers. Then put it in water and cook. All the glue will be inside the film.
The bowl is clean.
Checked. No glue problems.
_JuMi_
Doesn't it melt due to temperature and pressure?
dana77
_JuMi_, no. Everything is fine. Try it!
Asitas
Damn, girls, this is just salvation. It turns out much faster. I managed it in a pressure cooker for more than an hour, now I will try in my new cartoon Redmond with "red for sky", I will interfere in the cooking process, maybe it will work out better) but you get very thick?
Elven
Quote: Asitas
and you get very thick?
Pauline, the photo in the recipe shows that it is very thick. Doesn't fall off a spoon

Asitas
Thank you, I just do it a little differently in different cartoons, but it probably still depends on the condensed milk itself
Elven
Yes, not at all
Quote: Asitas
but probably still depends on the condensed milk itself
That's for sure
I have one cartoon, so I can't compare. I can only say that if you cook straight in a tin can, then condensed milk (Rogachev) will cook in 20 minutes, and if you cook in a glass jar, then you need to cook for an hour
Asitas
Strange, but should you set less temperature in glass? I don’t understand why this is so. I am far from physics)) My husband went to the Terminator and now laughs at me, says that my cartoon with remote control will enslave me soon, since I control it from the couch)))

In general, for some reason, boiled condensed milk on the stove was not always very successful for me, but in the cartoon - beauty, without lumps)
Elven

my temperature doesn't change in my cartoon
Quote: Asitas
my cartoon with remote control will enslave me soon, since I control it from the sofa
yeah. Still, she herself cleaned everything, cut it ...
Asitas
exactly)))) nothing, soon they will probably come up with something like that)))) I love it when everything turns out very quickly, because mine sweep everything clean, I just have time to smell))
Elven

it would be good

I brought a photo after I cooked condensed milk in SV (20min-SOUP).
I hope the photo shows that the cans are intact, the film is in place and the glue does not float.
Good luck to all!

Natalia, Thanks for the useful information

We put a silicone mat on the bottom of the bowl so as not to scratch the bottom. We put our cans of condensed milk on the mat (remove the label), fill it with cold water so that it covers the cans from above. We close the lid. Soup mode 20 minutes. The pressure is automatic. PS: I had condensed milk from the city of Rogachev. On my stove, it is cooked for exactly 2 hours until the same state as in the photo. The pressure was collected for about 30 minutes, about the same amount descended.
Good day, Elven! Tell me, please, we put 20 minutes, then another 30, that is, only 50 minutes, right? Can't you put 50 minutes at once?
Elena Bo

Soup mode 20 minutes.
Wait until the pressure drops by itself.

You Elena Bo, correctly suggested. We put on the Soup program for 20 minutes and wait for the pressure to drop by itself. It takes about 30-40 minutes.

Thank you, Girls!

Yes, there is nothing to unsubscribe later, what happened

Two questions: what is a stretch film and what will happen if the can does burst inside the CB?

Added on Tuesday 21 Jun 2016 5:08 pm

Nobody answered me ...
I wrapped the cans with cling film in several layers, put them on the soup .. It's scary, however, memories of the can and condensed milk that exploded in the 90s flooded all over the kitchen, I dragged the SC to the loggia and closed the door as well. Well, in general, nothing exploded, now we need open and see what I cooked there .. jars are already cooling in the refrigerator!
Lenusya
Aunt Besya, Lenus, don't let it down, tell me what happened?
I'm embarrassed to ask: why wrap with foil?
Aunt Besya
But nothing came of it
Then I closed the door, out of fear, I didn’t poke my nose into the loggia, I just listened. Then I came up, I looked no longer working (multicooker-smokehouse 6060), and I put it on "Soup" ... for a hundred years I did not use it as a cartoon soup there without pressure ... in short, nothing was cooked AT ALL! If the regime is without pressure, then of course there is nothing to do in 20 minutes ... We continue the experiment

But this is already at Shteba !!
Elven
I apologize for being late with an answer

Elena, stretch film - this is cling film and there is Regarding the second question ... I hope this will not happen. The main thing is to pour enough water to close the cans with the top. Then surely nothing will explode
Quote: Lenusya
and wrap with foil for what?
Lenusya, read the previous posts. The girls wrote that they were wrapped in foil so that the glue from the cans would not spoil the bowl, it is very difficult to wash it later

Elena, of course, without pressure nothing will cook during this time. Moreover, if you pour condensed milk from your own into a glass jar, it will not cook either - you need to increase the time to 60 minutes.
Urrraaa !!! Glad the second attempt was successful

Hello! Who cooked in glass, tell me! I read the entire forum, but did not understand.
We put a glass jar on a silicone mat, pour water up to the neck.
1. Is the metal lid screwed down completely or just cover the jar with a lid?
2. All pressure cookers are different and the modes are called differently - what temperature is needed?
3. How long to cook condensed milk in glass in a multicooker-pressure cooker?
4. Do you cook under pressure?
Squaw
I decided to cook condensed milk in a pressure cooker on the soup program for 20 minutes. I can say that this is not enough. Condensed milk is slightly colored and thickened a little. Next time I'll set it to 40 minutes! I can say that nothing exploded, the pressure cooker boiled for about 30 minutes. To cool down the pressure, I forcibly bleed it off, I had no strength to wait until it cools down. Maybe that's why she was underdone. I cooked it in film, I was afraid of the glue (about which I wrote above). I put it standing on a silicone mat.
Bozhedarka
interesting way
I'm afraid of pressure cookers, so I cook condensed milk in the oven, put the jars along with the pastries.
Charlotte
Girls, if the pressure cooker itself relieves pressure, can you cook condensed milk on it? Will it explode?
