Boiled condensed milk (Brand 6050 pressure cooker)

Ingredients

Condensed milk with sugar in accordance with GOST

Cooking method

  • We put a silicone mat on the bottom of the bowl so as not to scratch the bottom. We put our cans of condensed milk on the mat (remove the label), fill it with cold water so that it covers the cans from above. We close the lid. Soup mode 20 minutes. The pressure is automatic.
  • P.S: I had condensed milk from the city of Rogachev. On my stove, it is cooked for exactly 2 hours until the same state as in the photo.
  • The pressure was collected for about 30 minutes, about the same amount descended.
  • Boiled condensed milk (Brand 6050 pressure cooker)

Note

Thoroughly wash the glue from the cans, otherwise there will be a sticky coating on the bowl

Tasha87
20 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 minutes = 1 hour 20 minutes
Saving 40 minutes. By the way, steam can be released manually by covering the valve with a damp towel.
By the way, can you cook condensed milk in a pressure cooker without a can? otherwise it turns out badly ...
valushka-s
Elven, thanks for the recipe!
but tell me how it tasted? did you like it? did you put the can upright?
I haven't cooked condensed milk for so long! I already forgot, but you can cool the jar after taking it out of the water?
Elena Bo
Banks should be placed while standing.

Elven, well done! Good condensed milk turned out. Cool down where? In a pressure cooker?
Elven
valushka-stastes great! the main thing is that the condensed milk is of high quality. Bank put upright Of course you can. I took it out as soon as the water in the bowl cooled down a little.
Tasha87, it is possible in a glass jar, but I do not know how some manufacturers cook it for more than 2 hours, so the time savings can be much greater. Rogachevskaya condensed milk is initially thick, therefore it cooks faster
Lerele
Yes thank you!!!!!!!! One of these days I'll go to a Russian store for condensed milk and do it !!!!
And the savings ... It is both in time and in terms of electricity, which is more important than time.
Vasilica
Elvenwhat a fine fellow! It turned out great!

It's really bad to cook in a tin can. It is better to pour into a glass jar, close the lid, and water to the lid.
Elven
Elena, thank you, it was your idea after all
Lerele, to your health! I'm waiting for a report on how you do it
Elven
Vasilica, Thank you!
What is very harmful? I'll try to follow. once in a glass to weld
Lerele
Salt is harmful, sugar is harmful, meat is harmful, and now condensed milk is harmful
How to live on ???
Elena Bo
I plan to cook in glass one of these days. I also bought Rogachevskaya, otherwise somehow the last time it was not very condensed milk.
Aygul
Can hot water be poured immediately so that the pressure builds up faster?

If the jar is glass, should you close it with a plastic lid?
Vasilica
Why plastic, you can take with a screw-down metal. I usually pour into a jar of tomato paste.

Girls, I look at the photo, I think that the label is so unusual with the red color. Then I realized that it was a napkin glare. I looked closely, and in the photo it was as if a jar with a smile and you could see your face right on it.

I do not advise. It is necessary to fill it with cold water so that there is no temperature difference in the jar and in the water. Iron cans from this can explode.

If boiled in glass jars, then they are only covered with a lid, but not screwed.

Tell me, what is the principle of cooking condensed milk in a pressure cooker? It's just that I don't have a Brand, but I have Land Life and the soup program too ... Will it work for me in a different one, or does the temperature matter here, or something else?
Svetlana051
And in a multicooker it will not work ??

I have Lakuchina - this is the twin of your LL. I cooked soup for 25 minutes. But it is also possible for porridge - 20 minutes.
Elena Bo
It will work in any pressure cooker, but follow the safety rules. Cold water should cover the cans. And do not release the pressure manually, wait for it to subside on its own.

And I closed, and when the stew, I also screw up the canned food. All normul.

What's the point? It's just faster in a pressure cooker. It will take a long time to cook in a slow cooker.

I agree, it makes no sense. It seems to me that it will turn out faster on the stove

Lena, why put the banks upright? On the contrary, in principle I only put cans lying down, proceeding from the fact that if anything, then the lid is on the can, not on top, but on the side, as if it’s safer or something.

And I cook condensed milk on the stove for three hours, I like the resulting color more.
Elena Bo
Standing so as not to roll and damage the bowl.

Found on some health forum:
The material from which cans for condensed milk are made is tinned iron. That is, iron coated with a thin layer of another metal. Most often it is a thin layer of tin. Even during the bending process, microcracks can form. If this metal is cooled to minus 13 degrees, then the entire layer of this iron will collapse. If you take a jar from the refrigerator and heat it, then microcracks are formed.
If you cook such a jar, then iron oxides can form and get directly into the condensed milk.
Boil condensed milk in a glass dish in a water bath

If you want to boil condensed milk, then open the jar, pour the contents into a glass or ceramic dish and cook in a water bath.
Elven
But the stew in factories is also boiled in cans!

I poured hot water into my unit, put a round silicone stand (just fit in diameter), put a can of condensed milk (there was no more available) and brought it to a boil without a lid. And I wanted to turn it on, but I broke my whole head into what program!
my unit has a prog: rice, oatmeal, meat / chicken, slow cooker, heating, legumes, baked goods, no lid, double boiler.
I wanted to turn on the program "meat", but it was very much seething. I turned it on while on "rice", I will turn on the program twice (to get 20 minutes). and tomorrow you will see the result of the experiment!
lyudo4ka
If I’m not mistaken, we focused on pouring COLD water into the pressure cooker for boiling condensed milk, and then put the valve in the closed position and select a program that is suitable for the time.
nila
I cooked condensed milk many times in a jar with a screw cap in a Dex 60 multi!
This recipe is not new to me! Even in the topics I mentioned somewhere, I constantly cook condensed milk for Snickers or other creams. T. I don't buy condensed milk, but from time to time they give it to us as a presentation, then you have to be wise.
The time was different ... the last time it was necessary to urgently smear the honey cake, it was cooked for 1 hour on Stewing)) it always turns out very thick and caramel!
Elven
valushka-sWell, what did you do there? Water is probably better to pour cold all the same, so that there is no temperature difference
Elena Bo

The water is only cold and be sure to cover the jar. Pour hot at your own peril and risk if it explodes.

Thanks for the recipe! everything worked out great! I’ll buy more condensed milk at once and broth in the CB!
and before that it was not so desirable to cook on the stove (it was a long time ago), but now it's beautiful, now we won't be left without boiled condensed milk!
but at the expense of hot water, I like it better! I boiled the jar for a few minutes and closed the pressure cooker with a clear conscience.
well, I don't even know why, but I even do it for porridge, and I feel good, and everything turns out as it should!
Elena Bo
Now I cook in glass jars, because my husband is very afraid of my bomb

Elena Bo, what kind of foam is it? And a clarifying question: the jar was not completely filled with water, but so that the water level was higher than the level of condensed milk, right?

The condensed milk was boiled, but in the middle the milk was not as dark as on the sides, because out of curiosity, I took out the jar right away. I picked it up with a spoon and put it back in the hot water to stand. This resulted in a uniform color. Therefore, you cannot take it out immediately, you must let it stand.
The bank was not completely filled in, it was not closed, but only covered. The water is just above the milk level.

yesterday I cooked condensed milk again. put 4 cans on, and my pressure cooker didn't want to gain pressure!
after I overcame it and still cooked condensed milk!
and today I decided to wash the CB bowl, but it doesn't wash !!!
on the cans of condensed milk, labels were glued with some kind of vigorous glue, and a glue coating formed on the walls of the bowl !!!
And now what i can do!!!??? I can't figure out how to wash such a raid !!!
SOS !!! girls help, tell me how you can wash the bowl! But don't throw out your favorite pressure cooker!
but cooking in such a bowl is dangerous to health!
and condensed milk is no longer a joy! but into tears! as they say, there was no sadness ............., yes devils I wanted condensed milk! pumped up!
Lerele
Before boiling, I washed the cans with a metal washcloth, there was still a coating on the bowl, washed it off with a sponge and detergent, rubbed hard, and left.
Elven
Valyushka, I had the same problem with an ordinary saucepan, I was tortured to clean it, so when I put condensed milk in a pressure cooker, it was boiling, I cleaned the glue from the jar very carefully, forgive me a fool, I probably should have warned about glue right away

I wrote a warning in the recipe so that someone else would not get hurt like that

How is your saucepan doing there? You can also try to wash the glue with vegetable oil.
Lerele
And if you try to boil water with oil? Can it wash off faster?
Elven
Something valushka-s is silent, probably I managed to clean it up, I really hope so, otherwise I feel guilty for the spoiled saucepan
valushka-s
thanks girls !!! I have washed a bowl long ago (though with great difficulty!), and again I often cook in my unit!
next time I'll try to cook in glass jars!
but actually I liked the speed of boiling condensed milk in SV! I will continue to experiment!
Elven
It's great that everything was washed! otherwise we are worried here
Merryzombie
A glass jar can be any or only from heat-resistant glass? Can I replace the silicone mat with the baking sleeve?
Elven
The jar can be ordinary glass. I don't know about the sleeve, but if there is no rug, you can put a small towel
