  • Take a tomato in your hand, and with the blunt side of a small knife, walk over the tomato skin.

  • It is as if you are peeling potatoes, only the knife is not sharp and you do NOT need to press hard, rather lightly press. After walking over the entire skin, and this takes a matter of seconds, you can easily remove the skin with the same knife.
  • If you press hard on the tomato with the blunt side of the knife, it will look a little untidy after the skin is removed. If you press too lightly, the skin will not come off very easily.

Note

My family does not eat tomatoes with peels at all. Each time pouring boiling water over them is lazy. But most often you need to peel one or two tomatoes.

All the time I thought what to come up with to quickly, without scalding, without special devices, to clean this very skin.

If you press very lightly, then it will not be very good to remove the skin, and if it is hard, then there will be a layer of pulp under the skin, as it were, boiled, and, accordingly, not very even, you will get a peeled tomato. You clean it once, and it will immediately be clear with what pressure to press.

The surface, on which you have already walked with the blunt side of the knife, will be different both to the touch and visually, so you will not go through the second circle again.

I went for a tomato ... I don't believe that it can work for "wooden" fruits. I scraped it three times from all sides - it did not help, the skin is removed only with the bottom layer.
