Ingredients

Melon (peeled) 1 kg
Dried apricots handful
Lemon 1 PC.
Sugar 1 kg
Water 200 ml
Honey 3-5 tbsp. l.
Vanilla 1 box l.

Cooking method

  • Cut the melon pulp into cubes (or cubes) and blanch in a glass of boiling water for a couple of minutes, then cook sugar syrup on this broth. Remove the zest from the lemon, and cook the syrup with it. (you can remove the zest in large pieces, and use the port to pull them out of the syrup, or you can grate and leave in the jam).
  • Dip the melon into the boiling syrup, turn off the heat and leave to soak in the syrup for 4-5 hours. Lemon We clean, carefully divide into slices, take out the seeds and send them to the syrup along with the melon, throw a handful of washed dried apricots there.
  • Then we bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, again leave for several hours (I have it overnight), for the third time we cook the jam until the pieces of melon are completely transparent. Add honey and vanilla to the 3rd cooking.
