Note

I have long wanted to bake these cookies, but my mother's recipe was lost. She still baked it with plastic marmalade. This is a well-known old grandmother's recipe. All kinds of variations on the theme. I suggest one of them.

P.S. I did not find a similar one on the site. If I repeat, correct it.
I spied the recipe 🔗

Yes, my mom had a recipe for non-curd dough. Then I learned that they also bake on cottage cheese.

Does the dough stratify when baking?

self-rising flour Cottage cheese dough bagels
can be replaced with plain flour and baking powder
The dough is not flaky. A circle is cut out and folded in half and again in half, dipping each side in sugar beforehand.

Please tell me how much in gr. or in tsp. need baking powder? Our bags are of different weight. And I generally want to bake homemade tomorrow, but I'm afraid to miss with the amount of baking powder.

Yesterday I baked according to your recipe, just not bagels, but such buns with cherry filling. I thickened the cherry with candy (I have ice cream) with sugar, put the filling on rectangles of dough (on one edge), and made a grid out of the other and covered it (next time I will add a photo to make it clear), it turned out very tasty - tender dough and the sour filling - they ate mine right away, did not have time to take a picture. I also added vanilla to the dough. Thank you very much, we will now bake and eat for tea and remember you!
Tata
I am glad that you and your household liked it. And the form and filling can be of all kinds, as you fantasize

brought my thanks. Made two three servings - well, so as not to heat the oven in vain ... Mine with strawberries, without marmalade. Smell on all five floors ...there will be no photo (the mobile phone remained at work) and the bagels of the fig will survive until Monday ... basin several pieces cracked

Thank you! Oh-oh-very tasty! I got such curves and half-crumbled that it's a shame to take a photo. But to taste -
