I have not tried to replace it with anything, the taste of soy sauce is very specific, if you replace it with something, it will be a different dish.
Here's what I found on the open spaces of the tyrnet:
“Soy sauce has a specific taste and aroma. It is often used in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other national cuisines. It gives dishes an unusual, interesting taste.

But it so happens that you want to cook an exotic dish, but the necessary sauce is not at hand. And some people just don't like this seasoning. What can replace soy sauce in this case? It depends on what kind of dish you want to cook.

For Korean salads, plain vinegar or apple cider vinegar works well. To get the unique flavor of Korean dishes, finely chopped garlic is placed in hot vegetable oil. Then this oil is poured over the spices and apple cider vinegar is added. "
but we already have garlic and vinegar in the recipe, I would replace it with salty water

Delicious! And business for 15 minutes! Only I did it without red pepper, a little softer to make it, and without dill. It just doesn't exist. Thank you for the recipe!
