Frog legs

Ingredients

Frog legs 6 items
Marinade:
Mustard 1 tbsp. l
Starch 1 tsp
Salt Taste
Pepper Taste
Breading:
Rye bran

Cooking method

  • Once we saw frozen frog legs in the store. We stand, we look at them, we ask each other, what can we do with them? But no one knows. We decided that there is everything on the Internet and we need to buy and try to cook them. Googled, all the recipes turned out to be the same, pickle and fry.
  • And that's what happened.
  • Defrosted
  • Frog legs
  • made a marinade, marinated for a day.
  • Frog legs
  • Dried in bran and fried in olive oil.
  • I want to warn you right away, do not fry for a long time, for a minute on each side. As always, I insured myself and overcooked, it turned out rather dry. Even the photograph shows that the meat is loose from the bones. It tastes like chicken breast, but drier.
  • The legs that we ate in the restaurant were tastier and looked like partridges.

Note

By the way, when defrosting, the legs lost 30% of their weight
They don't smell like frogs and mud. I really don't know what frogs smell like.

Tatyana .. do you have any recipes for frog legs? Or, in general, the principle of cooking is this, we cook according to chicken recipes but with minimal heat treatment .. right? antiresno .. and in our city are they for sale? and by the way ... are they probably very expensive?
Tanyulya
And mine refuse to eat and I really want to cook them
Deva
I bought it in the Globus supermarket, it costs 349 rubles per kg. I saw it in Ashan, but it's more expensive there. Six legs weighed 650 grams, after defrosting, 400 grams remained.
I have a child of twenty-eight years old, he also refused to eat them, although they look very decent.

thank you!

We have legs in SPAR in our city all the time. Now I have three pieces in the freezer: 438 grams x 366 rubles per kg. = 160 rubles for three pieces. Don't know if it's cheap or expensive

Cooking is simple, marinated, fried with or without breading. I will cook, I will give a detailed recipe, but there are many and different

And in Singapore I only ate them, well, I also loved duck, only they are cooked in a completely different way there. It will be necessary to shake the familiar Chinese and find out the recipe, although I have not seen them on sale here.
The French are called frogs, and I associate frogs exclusively with Chinese cuisine.
Yours, Tatiana, the recipe is apparently European))) I have never tried this, but the Chinese version is unusually tasty. But there is a natural taste of frogs and cannot be tasted

Well I'm kind of from Europe too
I don't like Chinese-Thai-Indian cuisine, there are too many spices, spicy. And due to the abundance of spices, the taste of chicken or other meat gets confused, and you won't understand what was served.

I love spices in various dishes, but I prefer the flavor of the main product to be distinct and not floated in a hot curry sauce

Once I wanted to buy these paws in "Ashan", but then I thought that I would eat them, but for a week after that I still would not leave the feeling of not only disgust, but something unpleasant.
Deva
I have the same feeling too. I couldn't eat, I just tried it.
chaki2005
And I love them very much. Once I bought it a couple of times and just fried it. Indeed, like chicken breasts.

What an interesting recipe and conversation about frog legs. I, too, when I see them in the store, I think how they are prepared. Now it will be necessary to take and try, as it will be for my taste, although there is still some prejudice - an unusual dish for us.
So soon we will taste grasshoppers, because in China it is a delicacy

My husband and I, in our youth, in a restaurant, he says: let's try what it is, we must try everything !! I say - I won't, try it. The waitress says, yes, they taste like chicken breast. I say: just about, bring me a chicken breast! The husband ordered himself. They brought it, looked - it, I will not eat it ... So we remained "indolently slurped" about this delicacy. And I still think: if they are LIKE chicken breast, then isn't it better to eat not HOW, but just chicken? ..

Oh, girls, how light you are! My husband and I in Thailand burst blacksmiths on both cheeks. To their beer now ... Mmmm! And frog legs are generally a children's matinee. Did you eat pigeons? Frog legs are like pigeon legs. Fffkusnaaaa.
tararuk
And I look at the matchbox on a plate and at the frog's butts on the same plate and imagine what size this frog should be. Broilers ...?

and what are light-hearted? Well, in principle, I have long wanted to write .. I have never left anywhere from Russia .. and who travels .. I have already tried a lot of things .. I would really like to try a mushroom truffle well, at least a drop .. to understand why they pay such money there .. although .. I think so .. that I might not like it in Soviet times, so I wanted to try, bird's milk! one name is worth it! how disappointed I was .. it turned out. ... Well, I don’t like this: girl_sad: I used to go to Estonia .. almost every week I went for a drive .. the girls adored candies with jelly (marmalade), too, I was at a loss .. I don’t like it and that’s it .. probably the taste and color of comrades no! I had a friend .. as she says .. I could never eat this rat (nutria)! and we kept them then .. how I burst out laughing .. but how was the potato stew with meat tasty at my birthday? (and then she wrapped up and praised how I cooked it deliciously) and I didn't even mind saying that it was from nutria. cooked and cooked .. She was surprised then! immediately changed my mind

And here in the Kuban there is also a cool word, they say: what kind of pendants you are !! (Or maybe they are indifferent, so no one explained the spelling to me ...)
argo
so what does it mean then? * JOKINGLY * from the word show off or what?

In Transbaikalia: a light-hearted - pampered, unadapted person to physical labor.
And the penditic one is picky, meticulous, a little snob, a little boring, a kind of sissy.
