Pearl barley pudding in the Liberty mp-900 pressure cooker

Ingredients

pearl barley 1 multi-glass
soaking water
milk 5-6 multi-glasses
salt pinch
sugar 1-3 tbsp
green cardamom 1/2 tsp
ghee butter (ghee, butter) 30gr
peeled cashew nuts or any of your choice 2stl
raisins 3 tbsp

Cooking method

  • Rinse and soak the pearl barley in a sufficient amount of water for 3-4 hours. The groats will swell approximately 2-2.5 times, that is, for cooking there will be a little more than two multi-cups of barley. Pour milk over the cereal, add a little salt. Cook on high pressure for an hour. When the steam comes down, open the lid of the pressure cooker, add the cardamom and sugar, mix and leave on the heating mode for 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt the butter, the original recipe uses ghee, it can be replaced with homemade ghee or high fat butter. Over low heat, lightly brown the nuts and raisins. I fried in a cartoon cooker. on the baking mode, first the raisins are fried until they become shiny, it takes about 7 minutes, then add the nuts and fry for another 5 minutes.
  • Put porridge on a plate, put toasted nuts and raisins on top.

Note

For the total amount of porridge I took 1 tablespoon of sugar and added figs to the raisins for sweetness.
