Another open question is the adaptation of 110-221V.

1. Why did you choose Kitchen over Kenwood?
2. How to subscribe to a topic without unsubscribing from it?
1. I don't care, I was not familiar with either the first or the second. But the girls on my branch on robotic vacuum cleaners dropped the topic on Kitchen.
2. You should already receive notifications in this thread, because at the end of any answer there is an item marked with a tick "Notify me of new replies in this thread."

Now the situation is different. In Ukraine, a mixer with a basic set of more than 1000 euros. On an ibey, 300-400 dollars. Plus delivery to Ukraine, but it won't be thousands. There is always such a problem with the officials. But there is still a nuance - you need to adapt to 220v

Today KitchenAid has several offices and manufacturing facilities in Belgium and Canada. The manufactured products are known worldwide as high-quality equipment for bars, cafes, restaurants, and, of course, for kitchens. KitchenAid is in a similar position to home appliance manufacturers as Rolls-Royce is in the auto industry and needs no advertising. KitchenAid is the choice of those who value quality, comfort and functionality. It is "a brand with a dignified history and a secure future."

In 1908, the inventive American Herbert Jones, commissioned by the owners of Ohio bakeries, designed a mixer with a working capacity of 76 liters. The device automated the dough kneading process, thus speeding up and facilitating the production of baked goods. Customers liked the device, “stuck”, and very soon became widespread outside the state. The growing demand for mixers prompted Herbert to found Hobart Manufacturing, which he also led.
After the First World War, Hobart Manufacturing founded a subsidiary company, Troy Metal Products, which in 1919, improving the mixers, released the H-5, the first with a planetary principle. The new mixer focused not only on bakery applications, but also on domestic use.The device was more compact than previous models, easier to operate and still intended for mixing viscous products such as dough and thick sauces.
KitchenAid Mixer
During the final tests, as the story goes, the wives of the manufacturing firm's managers were tasked with coming up with a name for the new device. One of the women present, seeing the "brainchild" of modern engineering, immediately desired to contemplate such a device in her own kitchen. “I don’t care what this technique will be called, but I am absolutely sure that this is the best kitchen equipment that I have seen,” she said. This is how the KitchenAid Brand was born. In the early 1920s, the N-5 was popular in the homes of wealthy Americans. Despite the high price at that time ($ 200), comparable to the cost of a car, the demand for devices significantly exceeded supply. The production volumes were very modest, about 4 mixers per day. The company's management was in no hurry to increase the pace of production, focusing primarily on the quality of products.
If in the early 20s the functionality of devices was especially appreciated, by the end of the 20s more attention was paid to compactness and design. KitchenAid discontinued production of the H-5, unveiling several new, lighter, more affordable models than the H-5 in the 1930s. By the way, the design created by Egmont Arens turned out to be so successful that it has survived to this day almost unchanged.
Since 1937, all KitchenAid mixer models have been equipped with three removable attachments: for mixing foods of various consistencies, from sticky pie doughs to the most delicate sauces. Hook - for kneading yeast dough. Beater (scapula) - for kneading batter and mixing puree masses. Whisk - for whipping soft and airy creams and sauces.
KitchenAid MixerStandard "nozzles"
By the fifties, in America, KitchenAid has established itself as a reliable manufacturer of quality appliances. The company began to expand production and enter the world market. The models were painted with bright colors, including gold, red, grape, bright green, copper, pink, cornflower blue and many, many others. The widest range of colors of the proposed devices markedly distinguished them from the mass of "colorless" household appliances. KitchenAid was simply impossible to miss!
And although KitchenAid manufactures various household appliances, mixers remain the company's trademark. “Time-tested quality” is what you can say about these devices in short. All internal parts are made of high quality steel, so the devices practically do not break. And thanks to a wide variety of attachments (more on that below), KitchenAid mixers transform into versatile kitchen processors that you can use to prepare almost any dish.
Planetary mixers in action
The principle of operation of planetary mixers is reflected in the name. As you know, the planets move around the Sun in a certain orbit, and, in addition, rotate around their own axis. Similar to the planets, the nozzles in the mixer also move: along the inner perimeter of the bowl with products, simultaneously rotating around the axis, against the direction of movement.
The main purpose of planetary mixers is mixing viscous products. Thanks to the "double" movement of the nozzle, the dough, for example, is quickly and thoroughly mixed, acquiring the desired consistency, losing flour lumps and air bubbles.
KitchenAid mixers are oversized (35-42 cm wide, 22-35 cm high) and powerful (300-315 W) devices. Ten high-speed modes make it possible to knead any type of dough, as well as prepare mashed potatoes and sauces of any consistency.
KitchenAid MixerKitchenAid Mixer Artisan Series
The volume of the bowl (bowl) is almost 5 liters. Solid, agree? Some models include an elevator in their design, using a handle to raise the bowl to the required height. And for others, the working head with a nozzle leans back, the bowl is placed in its rightful place, after which the head moves to the working position.

Do not confuse constant and pulsed power (peak). These are two big differences. Kitchen has a constant that he can maintain for 10 minutes without any problems. Most devices write about the peak.
Tserekyan
Yes, it's clear about the peak, it's just that this moment is a little embarrassing ... Bosch has 1600 (the red cat is the most powerful, but it's clear that this is his maximum), but his meat grinder is fixed very low, and Kitchen has 300 (but the constant is understandable). The agony of choice continues))) Maybe there is someone who uses his meat grinder ...

Hello!
My KitchenAid KSM75 Stand Mixer was delivered to me today! I did not expect this! Of course, this work cannot leave anyone indifferent! The first thing that catches your eye is the "clumsy" design from 1919. But the effect of this contemplation is simply paradoxical - it is absolutely unlike modern toys or kitchen helpers. Simply huge dimensions, heroic weight, 4.3 l bowl (that's half a bucket!). The understanding comes that there is a THING on your table! And this thing is completely impervious to centuries. It seems that such a strong man can do any job: knead bread, grind meat, and open canned food. And these feelings so far only from looking and admiring. What will happen when this machine works!
In the meantime, I'm waiting for a 220-110 volt transformer. The KitchenAid KSM75 Stand Mixer will then move to the Buying Together section.

Girls, I will add a few words. Kitchen Aid herself looked closely at this. In Ukraine, we have the simplest model from 1000 dollars. I looked at American sites - I saw a new one at a discount of $ 266 with all the corollas (3) + a bowl of at least 4L-5L (aluminum or something ... stainless steel). Then there are more expensive models, they have 500-600-800 dollars at once in America. B. They stand at 150 each, in good condition. I tried to figure out the delivery and about 25-30 kg at least about 150-200 dollars to Ukraine. That is, it is still 2 times cheaper. You just need to look - it seems that up to 300 dollars is not cleared, it's cheaper. In England and Germany, this is an expensive product, because it is also imported. I really want to, but I'm afraid for now, after all, it will swim normally, but in Ukraine it comes with our already local mail .... And people there are often "dishonest" and sometimes have lost parcels. And there is no one to sue in Ukraine, our laws are "fiction".

I fell in love with this very kitchen at first sight, as I saw 5 years ago on "menu-tv", and fell victim to it. kitschen didn’t pay them for advertising, and I couldn’t see it all, what is this miracle called so as to look in the net. Thank you for your trust.
I have Kitchen 5KSM150.
In addition to the attachments included in the kit: a set of three shredders, a grain mill, a dough sheeter, a ravioli attachment, a pasta attachment, an ice cream bowl. The ravioli attachment did not work. Some kind of crap. Maybe my hands are crooked, of course, but like that.

With small volumes, Kitchen is not good. In principle, this is logical. The machine is rather big, powerful enough and designed for the appropriate use. The optimal amount of dough for her, in my opinion, starts at 500g. flour. I have a constant volume of work from 500 to 1000 g of flour. I don’t know how much it will knead, I never needed it in such volumes, but for 1200 g of flour I kneaded it completely normal (I mesyukala cakes). I do not knead hard dough with it.Because I make very small amounts (noodles in soup, for example, or dumplings to eat for a family dinner. I don’t do all this for the future.) For 200-300 g of flour. This is kitschen for only one tooth. I mix it in HP. His dough sheeter is excellent. I use it all the time. I grind grain with a mill for adding to bread. The pasta attachment works well too. One but: the quality of flour is very important there. Shredders are generally excellent.
