  • After the signal, the porridge is still quite liquid - salt it, add sugar, butter if desired, mix and leave on the heating for 15 minutes. The porridge is very tasty, can be served with butter or jam. If you like it thinner, or plan to keep it heated longer, increase the amount of milk / water.

What a beautiful and tasty porridge !!!
I have never cooked sago, I have to see it in our stores. Does it look like rice?

Sago groats are starch groats in the form of white matte balls.
Sago is obtained from either sago palm starch found in Southeast Asia or corn or potato starch.
Sago is a carbohydrate-rich product, so it should be in the diet of children and people who are malnourished after surgery.
Sago groats stimulate appetite, as it has a high glycemic index.
The minimum amount of protein (less than 1 g per 100 g) makes this cereal indispensable in cases where it is necessary to limit protein in the diet, for example, for certain kidney diseases.
Considering that the cereal itself does not have its own taste, color and smell, it easily lends itself to various ways of flavoring. You can cook porridge from sago, serve as a side dish for main courses, use as a filling for pies, puddings, add to soups and broths.

Tell me a hundred. I have a question about cereals in general. I don’t understand one thing - if you put the porridge with a delay in the morning, what will happen to the milk?
