Anchovies (fillet) 8 pcs.

Balsamic vinegar 1.5 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • So the time has come when one can only recall the taste of aromatic sweet ripe tomatoes with nostalgia. Now is not the season, and they have become like grass again - odorless and practically tasteless. Eh, melancholy ... Where does summer go? Where has the circus gone? and so on...
  • But there are almost no hopeless situations, and you can think of something to somehow fix this tomato flaw.
  • We'll bake them! And the taste will become much more concentrated!

  • We peel the garlic only from the husk and disassemble it into cloves. We don't clean our teeth!
  • Cut the tomatoes into 4-6 slices, depending on the size.
  • When peeling onions, do not cut the core! We'll need it. We cut the onion in half lengthwise, and then - with large feathers (continue along) so that each slice holds a part of the core, then it does not fall into layers.
  • Put the tomatoes in a baking dish with the skin down and scatter the onions and garlic randomly.

  • Combine and shake the oil with balsamic.

  • And pour vegetables with this dressing. Salt lightly. It is better to use large salt, small tomatoes will flow. And we need them not to flow, but to evaporate excess moisture, leaving a taste inside.

  • We bake in the oven at 180 ° C for 45-60 minutes.
  • If the tomatoes turned out to be really grass-grass, then it makes sense to bake longer - 1.5 hours (reduce the temperature if it starts to burn). In this case, do not put the onion right away - it will dry out. Toss it with the rest of the vegetables 45 minutes before the end.
  • After baking, everything needs to be cooled to room temperature.
  • Soak off excess oil from the anchovies.
  • Put the tomatoes and onions on plates, scatter the anchovies on top (we feel like artists or at least sowers) and squeeze the cloves of garlic out of the peel. Pour all the dressing left over from the baking.
  • And - hurray! Now you can eat it !!!
