Ingredients

Rice 2 m. St.
Water 2 m. St.
Milk 4 m. St.
Sugar
Salt
Butter

Cooking method

  • Yesterday I put rice porridge on a delayed start, the program "milk porridge".
  • I set it to be ready by 6.45 and so that there was time to brew. through a dream, I smelled the smell of milk porridge at 6.21, beeped - like the porridge is ready. Well, I didn’t turn it off, I left it on heating. the porridge turned out not dry, but not liquid either. I don't even know how to describe it, I'll show you the photo later. I don’t eat porridge and don’t drink milk (allergy). the husband says that everything worked out well. the only thing - you probably need all the same another rice. I have an elongated one, it is not as sticky as round. and so, in principle, the mode works fine, stood for 40 minutes on heating and in general everything is fine.

Round (such as Krasnodar) is suitable for porridge, and oblong is most often obtained with separate grains.

Yes, Natasha, for porridge you need round rice ... I wrote ... and I told you to leave it on the heat if you cook 1: 5, and 1: 3 as you cooked, and so thick. Although if you drunk 1: 5 with a long rice, then you would probably eat not porridge in the morning, but milk soup
NatalyA3
Yes, girls, I took into account all your comments and bought round rice yesterday. And today I cooked oatmeal: 2 mst of cereals, 4 mst of milk, 2 mst of water, sugar, salt. Well what can I say, it's a super porridge. Everyone is happy, finally the family has porridge
NatalyA3
Today I made millet porridge: 2 mst of millet, 3 mst of milk, 3 mst of water, salt, sugar, butter - all according to the delayed start program. The porridge turned out to be excellent. A little later, I will post the photo of all the cereals that I have already done. Can you advise what other delicious porridges? So that both the children and the husband would like it.

My daughter likes mixed cereals, half-and-half rice + buckwheat or rice + millet, but again I cook them 1: 5. Try to cook everything 1: 5, it's much tastier! This is when for 1 glass (200g is possible) you need 3 milk and 2 water, 2 tbsp of sugar, not a full tsp. salt and a piece of butter. I tried to cook 1: 3 here, I didn't like it at all, I added more milk and cooked it ...
Manna
This means that the proportion is still 1: 3. I wonder if this is such tightness? Doesn't the liquid evaporate at all? Although ... in my Brand, I also make cereals 1: 3 from cereals and 1: 4 from cereals. True, I do not leave it heated.

Irish, what didn't you like, a lot? I like thick porridge
NatalyA3
Rice, rice is certainly not what you need, but there was nothing else. already there. I will try again.

Irina, I'll try to cook rice according to your recipe. I don't eat porridge myself, but my family says that I like everything. that's why I do it in this ratio. I will now experiment.

I'm making rabbit legs tonight. I'm sitting thinking about the recipe

manna , even I do not understand the course of your thoughts, what do you mean?

I really love thick porridge, so I have 1: 5 very thick A 1: 3 turned out to be somehow not swollen, not fluffy, like rice for a side dish, only with milk. The liquid evaporates, of course, there is a valve in the same place like all cartoons ...
Manna
How did you not understand my train of thought? If the porridge turns out to be good in such a proportion, it means that the liquid does not evaporate at all, otherwise the porridge will be very dry.

In short, I realized that the proportions are normal. Just an instruction for this cartoon "curve" with their recommendations.

well, I would not say that the curve
I cooked 3 porridge according to the instructions - normal porridge turned out. once it's her fault - the wrong rice. here the question is who likes what kind of porridge. I put a delayed start at 6.45, at 7-15 they eat mine - all the porridges are delicious, and my husband is generally a fan of cereals and understands them.

here the question is who likes what kind of porridge.
That’s why it’s because it seems to me that the proportions are normal. For example, most people cook rice porridge in a 1: 5 ratio, and I cook 1: 4. This means that this cartoon will have the same proportions.

Aaaaa, I get it .... well, it tastes like color .... but I also like 1 cartoon glass of rice per 1 liter of milk

Irina, and I did such awesome pilaf yesterday. I didn't even have time to take a picture. the only but! I first started frying on the frying program, in short, it took so long and a lot of moisture began to come out, I turned on baking. and my meat, carrots and onions fried so well. the smell of cumin ... then I covered everything with rice (I took 2 mst, I needed 3, it turned out very tasty and not enough), put in water and garlic, incl. pilaf and mustache program. Urrah! Not so long ago I bought a slow cooker, read the opinions for a long time and thought about how to cook rice porridge with a delay! And now it is delicious, sweet! I cooked according to a recipe book, nothing escaped, rice is soft, not boiled, everything is as we love! Thanks to everyone who writes on this site!
