Dried ziziphus

Ingredients

Ziziphus 1 kg
Sugar 0.8KG
Water 1 l

Cooking method

  • We take slightly unripe fruits. So, prick the fruits and throw them into boiling syrup, then bring them to a boil over low heat and boil for 2 minutes.
  • We forget about 5-7 hours (I left it overnight).
  • Bring to a boil over low heat again and simmer for no more than 5 minutes.
  • Repeat this procedure once more (boil only three times, stirring gently each time).
  • We spread it on pallets and let it drain (if there is liquid).
  • We turn on drying first for a maximum of 3-4 hours, then at low temperature until fully cooked.

Note

The photo will be as soon as I finish it. But I put a few fruits, crushed while stirring, in a jar like jam - delicious.

Quite by accident I came across this recipe ...
And I have never even heard such a name ...
Where is this found? Very, very interesting ...
I want that too! Where to get?

Galina,
GenyaF
Girls, we have this ziziphus, like shoe polish in a shoe polish factory. It is also called unabi and a Chinese date.
Here he is on a tree (photo from internet)

His taste is pear + pineapple. Well, if you dry it - a date with a date, you can simply dry it without syrup. In short, yummy.

GenyaF, E. V. A. 75, thank you, enlightened us, unreasonable ... How many more different things we do not know ...

We drove by car from Sochi, this ziziphus is sold on every corner. "Ziziphus from pressure" thought it was nonsense. But it turns out to be the most useful thing.
Vinochek
Very healthy and tasty. Instead of sweets, I give the kid in reasonable quantities.
Without syrup, it's a little dry for me.
I planted such a miracle in myself. It takes root easily. I met two types - like a date and a large one like a plum. I liked the large one more.
In general, we have a lot of useful things growing and at the end of summer you can fill up on vitamins for the whole winter!
This year I have already ordered such sweets

A very useful thing! And not only from pressure. The brewed leaves are a great cough suppressant. I dry them every year. I grow unabi (or ziziphus, I like "unabi" more), large fruits, very tasty. You can also dry without syrup, it turns out like a rose hip, it is good to brew, tasty and healthy.

Girls, just be careful, unabi fixes ( constipation).
