Ingredients

For salad: medium-sized boiled beets 3 pcs.
boiled white beans (canned) 1 tbsp.
medium-sized boiled carrots 3 pcs.
prunes 200 BC
walnuts 1 tbsp.
For the sauce: natural yoghurt (or sour cream, or mayonnaise, or yogurt / sour cream + mayonnaise in equal proportions) 1 tbsp.
garlic 3 medium cloves

Cooking method

  • A hearty salad rich in trace elements that is easy to digest and does not weigh down the stomach.
  • The beneficial properties of beans are known to everyone, and vegetables and nuts complement and diversify the taste of salad. For example, beans contain, among other things, iron. To make it better absorbed, you need to eat it with vegetables, which are high in vitamin C.
  • 1. Boil the beans as follows: pour the beans with cold water, bring to a boil. Drain the water and pour cold water over the beans again. The water should lightly coat the top of the beans. Cook over low heat. For taste, you can pour 1-2 tbsp into the beans along with the second pouring of water. l. vegetable refined oil. Salt the beans at the very end, after they have cooked.
  • 2. Pour boiling water over prunes and leave for 2 hours. Then drain the water and cut the prunes into strips.
  • 3. Grate walnuts. You should have a relatively fine nutty "flour".
  • 4. Boil vegetables, grate on a coarse grater.
  • 5. For the sauce, mix yogurt (sour cream or mayonnaise) with garlic, passed through a garlic press.
  • 6. Lay the salad in layers on a plate:
  • 1st layer - grated beets. Cover with some of the sauce.
  • 2nd layer - boiled beans, sauce.
  • 3rd layer - chopped prunes, sauce.
  • 4th layer - grated carrots, sauce.
  • 5th layer - walnuts.

The salad has long been recorded in my notebook called "Festive" and is regularly prepared for various holidays. The guests really like it. This will come in handy for New Year or Christmas.

I didn't chop the beans, put them whole. It was medium in size, I use this in borscht, it boils well, becomes soft. If you blender this, you get a paste. Maybe if you take a tight one, then you can grind it, especially canned canned, I think ... Although this will be a different salad
