Fresh melon in ginger syrup

Ingredients

melon (medium) 1 PC
sugar 40 g
water 40 ml
fresh ginger (cut into thin strips 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 h l
odorless vegetable oil 0.5 h l

Cooking method

  • 1. In a hot frying pan greased with vegetable oil, fry half the chopped ginger, sprinkle with brown sugar and lightly caramelize. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • 2. From the specified amount of sugar, water and the remaining ginger, boil the syrup (boil for 5-7 minutes).
  • 3. Peel the melon, cut into cubes or cut into balls, arrange in bowls and pour over the resulting syrup. It is better to pre-cool the melon in the refrigerator - this way the syrup cools down almost immediately. Dessert can be served immediately, or you can chill it a little more in the refrigerator. Sprinkle with toasted ginger before serving.
