Butter cake according to GOST (without soda and baking powder)

Ingredients

butter 200 g
granulated sugar 200 g
eggs (room temperature) 240 g
wheat flour 150 g
starch 50 g
vanillin 1 g

Cooking method

  • Beat the softened butter until whitening for 5-7 minutes. Add granulated sugar and beat for about 10 minutes.
  • Eggs (I got exactly 4 selected eggs) shake with a whisk in a separate bowl.
  • We take the mixer in the left hand, in the right we take a teaspoon and, without stopping whipping the butter mixture, we begin to add eggs (with a teaspoon!). The process takes about 15-20 minutes.
  • Mix flour with starch, sift at least three times.
  • Add flour to the dough and mix thoroughly.
  • Grease the form with butter, spread the dough. We put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 45-50 minutes (be guided by your oven). The toothpick comes out of the finished cake dry.
  • Let the finished cake cool slightly in the form, after which we carefully remove it and cool it. Sprinkle icing sugar on the cake before serving.
