White malt 15 g

Cooking method

  • We lay in accordance with the instructions for the model of the bread maker, I have a Panasonic, so I put flour first and everything loose, then water
  • Fill the malt with boiling water (70-100 ml of the total amount of water) and while it is steaming, do the rest:
  • Sift flour, add salt and vegetable oil
  • In the remaining water, dilute the molasses and add apple cider vinegar (you can, of course, replace the molasses with sugar (2 tablespoons), then just pour the sugar onto the flour, but the taste will not be the same!
  • We mix all the liquid and pour it into a bucket, it remains to add the yeast (I have an automatic dispenser) and set the main baking program for 4 hours
  • Size xl crust color dark or medium
  • The bread is very beautiful and tasty, with a crispy crust, it rises well (it's a pity I can't show the photo, I just can't attach it to the iPad, as soon as I have the opportunity to sit down at the computer, I'll add a photo right away !!)

The dish is designed for

880 g

Time for preparing:

White malt is simple, and red is the same white, only fermented (it is heated), besides the color it has a different taste and smell, I have not tried it with dark malt, but you can probably add it too, it will just have a slightly different taste probably the color will be darker from it. Try with dark, then write what happened

Girls! You can insert your own five cents!

The taste will be different, and so will the color. Even if you add a little fermented malt (red). And white can be made at home - to sprout grain - rye, wheat, barley, dry and grind in a coffee grinder. The forum has Temki, how to germinate grain and how to make malt.

There is such a popular bread in America - bokato. It is made with wheat flour and red malt.

To your health!
And you can really make the malt yourself!

Natashkin baked your bread last weekend. We finished eating yesterday. I liked it very much.
True, I still allowed some deviations from the original recipe:
- I took live pressed yeast;
- the malt took the usual dark (hence the color of the bread - a little darker than usual)
- as molasses, I used a special syrup for baking bread based on molasses;
- I took salt at the rate, but 2 tsp. - this is all the same very much. And if you eat it yourself, then the bread is too salty.

This is how my bread came out:

We ate with camembert and like this, making a toast and pouring honey on top:

And most of all I liked the Swedish whey oil. It has a sweetish taste and successfully interrupted the salinity of the bread:

Thank you very much for the recipe!

You have a very beautiful bread with a hole like this with dark malt, I have not tried to bake it, I think the taste will be a little different, you must try
