Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)

Ingredients

Chicken breasts 2 pcs (600g each)
Chicken thigh or drumstick 1 PC
Apple green 1 PC
Lemon juice 0.5 tsp
Lemon zest 0.5 tsp
Broccoli or Brussels sprouts 70-100gr
Garlic 3 cloves
Mix of frozen vegetables 2 handfuls
Salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • Another recipe from the rubric Losing weight is delicious. I offer the second option for steamed sausage.
  • Today I prepared two options at once. It's not difficult at all.
  • Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)
  • Cut the meat from the thigh (drumstick) bones and chop randomly. Grind the breast meat in the processor and divide into 2 parts (for two sausage options).
  • Add the apple minced in the processor (without the skin), grated lemon zest, lemon juice, pepper and salt to the minced breast meat
  • Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)
  • In the second half of the minced meat, add chopped thigh meat (drumstick), slightly defrosted vegetable mixture (I have olives today), squeezed garlic, pepper and salt (you have already tried this option earlier).
  • Place the minced meat in baking bags or plastic wrap. Bake on the second level of the double boiler for 25-30 minutes.
  • Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)
  • Do not immediately take out the cooked sausage from the steamer - let it sit for another 10 minutes.
  • Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)
  • The finished sausage can be cut immediately - it is very juicy and easy to cut.
  • Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)
  • Enjoy your meal!

The dish is designed for

2 sausages 450-550 gr each

Time for preparing:

40 minutes

Cooking program:

double boiler

Note

It is a pleasure to lose weight with such sausages!
It can be used to make breakfast sandwiches with cereal bread, cucumber, and herbs. Can be eaten simply by sprinkling with sauce.
For those who are not losing weight, I advise you to try another option with cream.
Good luck everyone!

Alexandra
MariS ,
Since I adhere to certain dietary principles all the time, I do this kind of thing a lot, including salmon fish sausages.
For tenderness and juiciness, I add soft (pasty) low-fat cottage cheese to such sausages-sausages (instead of cream).
MariS
Alexandra, Thank you so much! : rose: I am very pleased with your attention!
We, too, try to adhere to the principles of good nutrition ..., but sometimes we take liberties with our food (of course, within reason).
Cottage cheese in sausages is a great idea, thanks!
And homemade sausages from proven low-fat products ...
Yes, I agree, you can experiment with different types of meat. Turkey meat, I think, will fit here no less than chicken.

MariS, Marinochka. By the way, your recipe. My husband, just yesterday said that I still need to learn how to make homemade sausage. And today I look - your recipe. Class, I will definitely do it.
MariS
Tanyusha, thank you for trusting the recipe and I'm glad you found what you were looking for!
Surprise your husband - it will be interesting to know his reaction (he didn’t have time to dream, but everything is already done!). Well then, let him carry such a wife in his arms ...
Good luck, Tanya!
tania21
Marinochka, thanks for the support . I have already prepared the version with olives. I look forward to the arrival of my husband, I hope that he will like it, but Dotsya said - very tasty.
Pysy. Marina, to me on "you", please.
MariS
Tanyush, glad my daughter liked it! Children are our main connoisseurs ... I hope my husband will also like the new dish.
Galinaind
Thanks for the interesting recipe. I will definitely try to do it on the weekend.
For the brightness of the color, I will add a little carrots to the sausage.
A couple of things not very thick ... all along the sausage.
Imagine how the cut will sparkle, and the carrots will give their own spicy note.
Merri
Marisha, you are smart! I will definitely prepare your sausages next week! My slimming week will just end.
MariS
Galina, thanks for the kind words and for the great idea with carrots! Moreover, boiled carrots are even healthier!

Irish, glad that you are finally ripe for sausages.
But why pull? They are just for a diet - what you need!

Thank you girls! Enjoy your meal!

Marish, I'm carrying a huge THANK YOU, from the whole family and from her husband. Appreciated, liked it very much
Lory
Tempting recipe, I really want to make similar ones, well, they look very appetizing
Confused by only one hindrance - will it work WITHOUT a double boiler? Available only microwave oven with convection and grill
Alexandra
Lory , I spied on Alexei Zimin - he tightly wraps in cling film and ties the ends - and cooks small sausages in water for a few minutes

Or you can put a metal colander on a saucepan with boiling water, put the sausage and cover with a lid. What is not a double boiler. This is how manti is cooked, only there the "colander" is flat and several sections are installed on top of each other on a saucepan with boiling water
Ikra
MariS, your recipe inspired me for liverwort chicken sausage. Now I made minced meat from drumsticks, hearts and chicken liver. But I have very wide baking bags. And in your picture they are narrow, just right ... Or did you somehow "suture" them? Share your secret.
Sonadora
Marish, great recipe! I took it to the bins, I will definitely try to cook it.

Ikra, Irin,

You can do the same with the package. Put the minced meat on one edge and roll the bag into a tight roll.

Here's another question I'm interested in: if you cook in a multicooker in a double boiler, then how long will it take?

Well, thank you, Alexandra! After all, I have such a crockery gadget (it was purchased 20 years ago), a huge saucepan with another kind of saucepan inserted into it with the same handles, only the whole bottom in a hole and also in a set like a druslachka-bowl, with two criss-cross thin darlings something folding inward) (I even went to see if I remember correctly!) which is also inserted in size and completes the pyramid, and the lid in addition. Then it turns out it is a "two-tiered steamer"? And she only used it for cooking compote. It's very convenient - the broth is at the bottom, and all the fruit berries are on top: you pick it up and separate)) Oh, I was distracted ... Then it turns out that the "second tier" recommended by the author is the second (in my case) all leaky bowl with thin handles? Or just in the first part full of holes ... How is it more correct?

Tanyusha, I am very glad and thank you for answering ...: rose: I already started to worry - suddenly my husband did not like it!

Lory, you can do without a steamer, as advises Alexandra. Or you can use a colander over a saucepan. You just need everything to fit snugly (including the lid). There are also devices that are placed on the bottom of the pan. Wish you luck!

Alexandra, Thank you very much for participating in the discussion!

Ikra, Irisha! Thanks for your interest in the recipe!
Yes, I really "left" the packages. There are no secrets, everything is as usual, simple. I had the remainder of the bags and had to cut it across, the seam from the bag fell in the middle (along the length) of the sausage.
I will be very glad that you will like the sausage too! Good luck!
Ikra
Something I didn’t manage to fix ... probably the pens are crazy today. And the minced meat is pretty runny because of the liver. Well, okay, I put it in a silicone mold for a couple in a multicooker.Let there be "soufflé"
I put it on for half an hour, I got about 600-700 g of minced meat. I think it will be just right.
MariS
Lory, while I was writing the answer, you have found your very real steamer! I have one too. Was in a set of pots.
Everything will work out for you!
MariS
Manechka, thanks for your attention to the recipe! I really hope you enjoy it. The main thing is that you can experiment with vegetables and minced meat.
Now I want, on the advice of Alexandra, to try it with fish, and then with the addition of cottage cheese.
Good luck Marish!
MariS
Irisha, soufflé is also a very tasty dish! In our business, the main thing is resourcefulness ...
I understand that the bags were not enough or were cut wrong?
Alexandra
Girls, I did once

Homemade fish roll

Fish and seafood roll with olives and capers

Instead of gelatin, you can put agar-agar, or put nothing at all

I did not post the recipe for salmon sausages with cottage cheese, they ate everything very quickly
Lory, I didn't really understand how the levels differ - in my opinion, you can put on any and on both layers
Ikra
MariS , there are days when everything is not so. In general, the package from my "stitching" has torn ... The minced meat is liquid, the form itself, even minimally, does not hold. I put it in a silicone mold, as it seemed to me, quite suitable for my little cartoon. That is, it fits perfectly into it, but, apparently, there is not enough steam outlet. When I opened the lid after half an hour of steaming and 10 minutes of standing, my soufflé was floating in a lot of broth. Something seemed to me that this was the wrong broth, no matter how water splashed from below ... And besides, the water is pinkish, clearly not ready yet. When I laid it out, a piece broke off from the edge - delicious! At least it pleases! But I generously sprinkled nutmeg Well, not my day!
In general, I put it all with broth in a multicooker pan and set it to stew for half an hour. Anything will come. I think it will cool down, I will cut it like a pate and we will have a snack.
Lory
Many thanks to everyone. The theoretical side seems to be clear: dishes, food, swaddling wrapping sausage is a matter of small - practice! I'll be back with a countdown how it turned out
MariS
Lory, since you are on the air, I will answer you first.
The second level of the steamer is indicated in the recipe (magazine "Culinary Workshop"). I think that steam comes in slower to the 2nd level, so the authors recommend it in this recipe. It's my opinion...
MariS
Ikra, Irish! The main thing is that you treat it with humor!
And I, usually, in the morning already understand that the day is "not mine" and I try not to start important things - so ... I do everything on the little things.
MariS
Alexandra,Thank you very much - I have already bookmarked both recipes!
We must always remember about fish - this is our feminine everything! Well, in general - it's delicious!
Ikra
MariS, but as a result everything turned out deliciously, why be discouraged! My husband doesn't know what I was going to cook. I'll cut it beautifully, serve it with delicious homemade noodles, there will be a wonderful dinner!
Yes, it is better to do nothing on such days, but here ... it is necessary! If all the food in the house is overeat, and tomorrow to work until late evening, and on Saturday from early morning - to study, then you have to ... "Souffle" made, cooked soup (by the way, it was delicious, nothing failed here), now pancakes on sour cream are suitable ...
And all the ideas I’ll "put in my head" for now. I also want to make a steam fish roll, I love fish ...

Irish, I agree - there is no reason for despondency! Moreover, there is a fantasy and we can change the script in the course of the play ...

Irisha, what is this - a starvation diet? Does it help? Come back soon to our ranks ... And by the way - diet in translation from Greek means "lifestyle", "diet".Some are on a diet all their lives - because it is their way of life!
Galinaind
MariS, thank you so much for the recipe !!!!
Of course, the idea is important, and then everyone does it himself ...
I added undercooked carrots - I wrote about them on May 16. I cut the leftovers: half a yellow bell pepper and a quarter of a tomato ... sprinkled the frozen parsley. In the context of their almost invisible (one carrot flaunts) But very tasty !!!!

Yesterday's dinner: My labor was rewarded - the people asked for more ... People: this is mother and friend Borisych. He arrived starving from the dacha ...
It's good that I fed them with pickle first ...
The quality of the pictures is lousy, but: either this, or nothing ...

Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler) Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler) Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler) Steamed chicken sausage - 2 (double boiler)

I had a purchased Ukrainian minced meat: beef + lard = 500g. In a blender, I ground 2 chicken breasts and a huge head of onion + green beads (arrows) from garlic. Chicken breast gives its tenderness to the dish ... There were some mushrooms fried with onions - I also added them. Salt and seasoning for chicken. I put it in a double boiler for 20 minutes, turned it over and for another 20 minutes. He stood for 15 minutes, then took it out, freed it from the film. The resulting juice poured into potatoes ... It turned out very tasty, but pale - so I put it on a baking sheet and put it in a heated oven for 10 minutes - lightly brown ...

Please: help yourself!
Galinaind
Girls, this is the first time I am writing a review on a recipe from your forum (I think not the last ...)
If I wrote something wrong, or a lot - you tell me, I'll fix it ...

MariS
Galina, [/ b I am very glad that I liked the sausage !!! Thanks for the photochet!
You are saying everything correctly - the main idea is, and then fantasy works and everyone creates their own ...
Anise
MariS, cooked the sausage again according to your recipe. I made the second option - with olives. It seems even tastier. And somehow it ended instantly, that's all that we managed to capture:

I don't have a steamer. As well as the first sausage I cooked in Cuckoo 1010 in baking bags on a steam plate (tab?).
MV poured 3 incomplete multicooker glasses of hot water into the bowl. Mode - Multi-cook, 35 minutes. I kept it warm for 10 minutes.
The beauty! Thank you, MariS, for a good recipe!
MariS
Anise, Thanks for your photo report - a beautiful sausage turned out! I am very glad that I liked the second option too ... Now, with your help, we have learned how to cook it in a multicooker!
