Jerusalem Easter cake (recipe for bread maker)

Ingredients

Sugar 180 g
Salt pinch
Vanilla sugar 1 sachet
Cinnamon 2 pinches
Dry yeast 3 teaspoons
Flour 800 grams
Milk 400 ml (or 350 + 50 ml brandy, as an option)
Egg yolks 4
Butter 40 grams
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
Raisins, dried apricots taste

Cooking method

  • We distribute up to 1 hour.
  • We use proteins to lubricate the cake. Lubricate 2 times, before planting in the oven, and before taking it out, in about 3 minutes. Also, whipped with sugar (like meringue) whites can be used as glaze.
  • Bake in a form, in the oven (it will come out of the bucket) at 150 degrees for about 40 minutes, in the end you can brown it at 200 degrees. If you want to bake in a bread maker, take half the portion.

Time for preparing:

4 hours

Note

I am the owner of a Panasonic bread machine, so the recipe is suitable for her and others alike. The recipe is very simple, no problems, but very airy, successful and tasty !!!

The result is very soft, soft and airy. The form needs to be filled out by a third, or even a quarter.

Forms in Kiev are usually sold at every corner before Easter.
and the cake that remains is still soft.

And there are also silicone molds, but these are for centuries.

What should be the dough when kneading? Is it going into a bun? And why there is so little yeast - somehow I look, basically about 40-50 grams is added to the cake dough. live pressed yeast for 800 np-1 kg. flour, and you get something about 20-25 gr. Is that really enough?

Olyana, I'm scared to do something in Panasonic at the rate of 800g of flour

How much bread is your HP designed for? I have a maximum of 1 kg - so I was afraid for 1 kg of flour, but I kneaded, everything worked out, but for proofing you need to transfer to a large container

I was looking for an airy crumb of Easter cake, not dense, apparently I found it. THANK YOU!!!!

So, no one is confused by the dosage of yeast, just me? I'm a completely inexperienced kulichepek (I've tried 3 recipes in total, but baked 8 pieces), that's why I'm asking, I doubt it ..

The dough is very rich, which means it is heavy to rise. Here he needs more yeast. I didn't bake with dry ones, but if I made this recipe with fresh ones, I would take 35 grams. And dry yeast is different, some need more, others less.

I, like the author of the Panasonic recipe, think that the maximum - 0.5 kg of flour Peku is rare, I could be wrong.
I will not take a steam bath. I will do half, the family is small, it will be enough.

Well, yes, and I'm talking about the same - there is somehow, as it seems to me, not enough yeast. Or does it still seem so to me?
irysska
The recipe is about dry yeast. I believe that the amount is in principle sufficient, especially if the yeast is of good quality.
notglass
And I'm talking about the same thing. That there are enough of them, although I would take even a little less, especially if the yeast is good. But whoever loves it. I didn't work out with dry ones at all
irysska
And I have it on the contrary - I buy pressed ones for Easter cake, and I bake bread and so on on dry ones - it's a habit

Girls, with 3 spoons, my dough will definitely come out of the bread machine. .. Yesterday I baked a similar cake recipe from another site .. It says-9 gr. dry yeast, and I mistakenly used 9 grams. alive ... It turned out to be very tall and magnificent .. I do not argue, maybe it should be -3 spoons, but I will not risk it

Girls, Bunny wrote; "If you want to bake in a bread maker, take half the portion." : hl-izm: and then nothing will come out for sure. And yeast is designed for baking, so this amount.

damn, I'm already completely confused then

So should you take more or less? Actually 35 gr. fresh yeast is, in any way, more than 3 tsp. dry - about 5 tsp.
On Oil from Elena Bo the smallest at 300 gr. flour last time I took 14 grams. pressed yeast. And here 800 grams of flour, almost three times more! And in the recipe, in recalculation, about 15 grams of pressed flour is obtained.
Has anyone already baked this cake with the author's amount of yeast? Happened?

But I don’t think the dough is very rich ... There is a drop of oil, yolks too, and there is very little sugar (purely theoretically). I think that yeast composition is enough for this. IMHO.

Olyana, hello!
I am a completely newbie (I want to bake Easter according to your recipe, I also have a Panasonic. I will bake in the oven, knead in a bread maker. Tell me, on what mode did you knead the dough? bread maker)?
How long does it take to take out the dough? Determine 1 hour when it is in shape?
Bunny
I throw everything at once, choose the dough kneading program. As soon as the program reaches the end (it is there and it is defrosted) - I take it out, put it in a mold, deflate it a little - about half an hour, and bake it.
astrex
There is not enough milk according to the recipe - the dough turned out to be harsh. Next time I will add 450-480 ml of milk.
Irina09
Tell me in what mode to bake in HP? After the dough rises, which mode should I choose? There is a "Pie" 1.50 hour and "Baking" 1 hour (HP Supra BMS250 if it is important)

Maybe your flour is more hygroscopic? They say Makfa is like that, takes more liquid. Have you already baked a cake? Unsubscribe when you cut, ok?

I would choose "baked goods".

Why? If you're going to bake in the oven, that's fine. My HP is doing it.

Everything is working out great. Dry yeast.

Girls, I recommend trying the recipe, and unsubscribing when you try !! I use Saf-moment yeast, exactly in the same amount as in the recipe.

Jerusalem Easter cake (recipe for bread maker) This is how the kolobok looks when mixed in HP Panasonic. It fits quite well.

Immediately I put it into a warm oven for proofing already in the forms. She let it stand until the dough rose to the sides of the molds. So, yeast is enough, don't worry, girls.

I went to say thank you. This is one of the best recipes I have tried. Kneaded in the oven Phillips. It turned out just WONDERFUL!
The aroma was wonderful, the cognac in the recipe - it greatly improved the taste. It is strange that they wrote that the dough is tough. For me, just like that.
From now on, I will probably use your recipe.

Thank you!

I don’t know, maybe flour. Well, it was baked, it did not rise very much, it was soft inside, but since the dough was harsh, then the cake is not airy either. I'm going to put in a new portion now, I'll just add a little more milk to this flour. In general, I could add in the process, because I saw that it was harsh, but I was too lazy. It makes no sense to focus on the recipe - the flour is different.

Well, try experimenting. I have such a section as in the photo above.

My Easter cakes have risen very well - I laid it out on a third in the forms, it grew well. I don't like it when I get out of shape ...
Happy baking. we are waiting with a report!

By the way, my eggs were small and I took 5 yolks instead of 4. Maybe your eggs are small too?

All my married life I baked Easter cakes. This recipe in our family is long-standing, from great-great ..., but we did not know the name; it turns out that this is an old recipe for "Jerusalem Easter" For the first time I made dough using a bread machine. I was very worried to trust my favorite dough to someone else - in vain! The stove did an excellent job. The dough is wonderful! I baked Easter cakes in the oven in round tins (classic!) Jerusalem Easter cake (recipe for bread maker) One-to-one taste with our "signature" homemade. So now I can pamper my loved ones with signature baked goods again! Many thanks to the author for this recipe!
