Note

For the Easter holiday, everyone is trying to prepare various dishes: delicious and beautiful. I propose to make this festive table unforgettable. I would like to offer you a very aromatic, tasty and beautiful lamb. I liked the idea and recipe by Petra Holzapfel. And Eden shared with cooking. Now the holiday has become even more sophisticated. It is believed that a sweet lamb on the Easter table brings happiness and good luck to the house!

Ilona
Cool! There used to be rabbits (for some reason), now sheep! Who is next?
Tasha
Yes, but how interesting! They also make chickens and pigeons ...
But actually, of course we are big ignoramuses. The lamb is a classic symbol of sacrifice from the pages of the Old Testament, it is a symbol of innocence before this world ... And then suddenly the hare became popular - it is also innocent ... For some reason I thought it was Western trends. But some time ago I read in a historical source that on cottage cheese Easter, as a rule, they put seals with the letters "ХВ" and a lamb. The symbol of Easter was a lamb (this is, apart from the eggs we know ...), in the form of which a pie was usually baked in Russia. In the southern countries they made (continue to behave this way))) lamb shish kebab. And here we are, more humane, or what?

So a lamb is a kind of Easter cake.
Moskvichk @
what about the size of this lamb? for a whole baking sheet.? or half? and dough to taste: girl_cleanglasses: how's the cake?
Tasha
The lamb can be any size. I fit into a rectangle 25 x 20. And when sculpting, you need to take into account that the dough grows to the sides when baking. It is necessary that the balls do not go far beyond the contour ... And so the baking is very light. You can connect the kids. They like to roll balls. A fun process.

The finished lamb is sweet and rich!

I would also try, but just look at the final photo? How much will she change after meeting the oven ...
Tasha
It will change only for the better, and if you decorate it beautifully, it will be festive! I have a printout of the template in the form of Adobe Acrobat Document (.pdf). I can lay out ... But I don’t know how. Can you tell me? And I have the final photo, I'll look now.

Is it really a paper printout? Then you can scan, save in jpg and upload here as a photo. In general, I think that we ourselves will draw such a "beast")
MariS
tasha 74, I really want to try half of the portion right now. Only the butter has already been used up ...
Is it possible to create a similar sheep from a vegetable - I understand, there will be a different taste, but perhaps you tried it?

Can I think, because this dough is molded. And I already in the post sculpted a bunch of dough pies using odorless vegetable oil.
Manyunechka ..
Interestnenko, you need to try, 14
MariS
tasha 74, tell me, pzhl, what consistency should the dough be? At first it turned out sticky - I mixed 1/2 of the norm in HP and used 50x50 butter and sunflower oil. I had to add flour, now I put it on - I'm waiting for 2-2.5 hours.
Tasha
Before settling, the dough should be like this. And after rising, the dough should be very soft and not sticky, very plastic. Because you need to roll the balls and they should not creep. And vegetable or creamy are interchangeable, because we need any fat, in fact. With creamy it turns out most rich.
MariS
It turns out that she added flour in vain? Hastened ...
Tasha
Marin, the main thing is not to be tough ... The softer the dough, the more tender the product.

Thank you Natasha! I hope that everything will work out - here I sit, sculpt a sheep, well, Michelangelo is resting
Tasha
Marisha, I inserted a photo .... what I found .... I'm already worried about your lamb. What happened?

Sweet easter lamb

Natasha, thanks for the idea! In the Czech Republic, the Easter lamb is a traditional pastry. But, usually, they are baked from biscuit dough in special volumetric forms. It looks something like this. Sweet easter lamb
Tasha
Oh what a mold for a lamb. A beautiful lamb ... a real decoration! For the biscuit, I am already choosing a shape for myself. They are also different. Unfortunately, I have not chosen yet .... But this one, proposed by me, is good for those who do not have any forms at all.
MariS
Natasha, everything is fine and thanks for worrying about me! I got such pleasure here while I was at war! I remembered my childhood, plasticine modeling lessons - they taught us well at school! Will be ready soon, but I'll post the photo later.
MariS
Natalochka, thank you for this miracle! Here's what I did:
Sweet easter lamb

I tried to convey color and shape for a long time, but my camera is hopelessly outdated. Sorry, I can't convey the smell! I'm so happy! I will give one to my mother, the second to my daughter - they are both rams. And I and my second daughter were born in the year of the sheep. So, what did you give us such a gift! : rose: Thanks from all of us!
Tasha
How beautiful it is! Very homey and cozy colors in the photo. A bit dark ... but overall, cool. If I had a pro fotik, then I would have roamed ... So the lamb Temka is very close to you !!! And I, too, are surrounded by some rams (from my favorites ...)! So I am very harmonious with this animal.
Indeed, it is true that you can develop this theme and make up original stories, give surprises. After all, each such sweet surprise will leave pleasant impressions in your memory.
Here is such an impromptu, nice to you and me !!!!!
Tarantella
Girls, good evening! What are you all great! Are you accepting a new one? Wonderful Easter lambs! Very appetizing in appearance.
MariS
Natasha, and I'm so glad that I managed to embody your masterpiece! In my opinion, manual work is much nicer ...
In fact, you just need to remember your childhood and are not afraid of anything! Just play it! And it is imperative to decorate the table and make a holiday - we just forgot about such simple things as handmade gifts. They keep the warmth of our hands and the love with which we do all this!

Tarantella, good evening! Thanks for the praise! If only the smell of these sheep could be felt ...
LightTatiana
: bravo: Well done! Straight and no words

Yes, I agree. But I also do not refuse gadgets and things that make life easier .... No!

Girls, and also a brand new one on the Bread Maker. First, I ordered and made purchases, and then I read it. I liked the atmosphere, and so that she herself wanted to share and communicate.

Thanks for the good mood!

Natasha, and I, too, in January just climbed to find recipes for her newly purchased HP (then still for granny), and read it in such a way that I wanted to communicate with all members of the forum and share recipes. And who would say that by opening several recipes for HP on the Internet, I will also find friends, and that the forum will tighten me (now ours) ... but I would not believe it for anything! And, I was bribed here by the cozy, homely and friendly atmosphere. And people are so sympathetic, in a hurry, if possible, to help with advice. THANK YOU ALL for being with us !!!!

Natasha, Ilonnna, I agree with you in everything! I also fell in love with our site, members of the forum and myself have been here only since February.
Your support, girls, is very inspiring - I want to bake even more, create and delight everyone! We are all children at heart ... thirsty for creativity! And here we find a way out for all that is good in us.
I can no longer tear myself away from the forum, I bake something all the time.
Thanks for your support!
MariS
Natasha, I brought you my thanks again - my cooking ... with the fatted sheep. Well, very well-fed turned out.
I am so glad you brought your recipe for Easter lambs - both beautiful and delicious! Merri has already introduced an innovation according to your decor recipe. So here's how your recipe came to my liking! He will greatly decorate our holiday!
I again made a few pieces - I will give them in the temple tomorrow, when we consecrate!
Happy holidays to you and your family!
