Burbot in sour cream

Ingredients

Burbot 2kg
Bulb onions 2 pcs.
Carrot 2 pcs.
Sour cream 250g.
Boiling water 2st.
Salt pepper taste
Flour 1 st. l. + for breading
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Peel the fish, cut into portions, season with salt, pepper, roll in flour and fry in vegetable oil.
  • Grate carrots and onions on a coarse grater. Fry in a deep saucepan.
  • Add flour, sour cream, boiling water, mix and boil for 3-4 minutes.
  • Put the fish in a saucepan, stir gently and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  • Delicious!!!!

Burbot in sour cream




Burbot is a freshwater fish. Length up to 1 m, weight up to 24 kg (usually 1 - 1.5 kg). The body is elongated, rounded, tapering towards the tail, covered with very fine scales; the head is wide, flattened, there is an unpaired antenna on the chin, and 2 short antennae near the nostrils. The coloration of the back is greenish or olive-green with black-brown spots and stripes.

Burbot lives only in the Northern Hemisphere, in rivers and lakes of Europe and Asia. Fishing object.

Burbot meat with good taste, without small bones, contains up to 19% protein, 0.6% fat. Of particular value is a huge burbot liver, containing 51-67% fat, rich in vitamins A and D. Burbot is sold live, chilled, frozen, in the form of canned food ("Burbot liver in tomato"). A very rich, tasty fish soup is obtained from burbot. It is good fried with potatoes, aspic and as a filling for pies.

Elena, my fish were small, I did not cook the liver separately. You can cook with the fish.
