Lena, the cupcake is wonderful! Moreover, on kefir. I love these pastries.
Didn't you think of baking it in the pressure cooker?

It will work just as well in a pressure cooker, I'm sure of that.
I baked it in a multicooker, because many people can't do it. Why, for me it remains a mystery, since the dough is correct, cupcake. The baking time in the recipe is 1 hour, this is not enough. But it's not a problem to add another 20 minutes, which I did.
I hope I can help someone with the baking.

Lena, of course, helped!
I've noticed that at 37501, 1 hour is enough for a biscuit, but a cake needs 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Did you add 2 glasses of kefir? I have 1 glass in my recipe book.
irusya
I was also confused by the amount of kefir.

Oh, thanks for noticing. Corrected.

Thanks for the step by step recipe. Now I will know how to do Zebra, what would happen.

I will also try in the near future, otherwise something did not work out as I wanted, but I tried and beat everything thoroughly, though not according to this recipe, although also a zebra.

No need to beat anything. Just mix quickly.

A very beautiful cut turned out!

Thank you! today also made "Zebra"! delicious only the baking time increased by another 10 minutes.
Oca
Yes, this is what I was looking for! Only there is no kefir, I will make sour cream + milk. I think I understand why Zebra did not work before, the keywords: do not knead thoroughly !. The dough should be loose. There were words in the recipe I was given beat the dough.
For a long time I counted the glasses into grams, it turned out something like this:
margarine 130g
sugar 1.25 cups = 300g
eggs 3 pcs = (without shell) 175g
wheat flour 2 cups = 300g
kefir 1 glass = 255g (replaced with sour cream + milk 50/50)
cocoa powder 2 tbsp. l. from HP
soda 1 tsp from HP
Somehow I didn't think and first poured a glass of milk into the HP, after which there was nothing to measure the bulk products with. Knead the dough, let's see what happens.
Oh, amazing !!! Nothing of the kind was ever close! Now I understand why many people like Zebra so much. Elena Bo, keep a bouquet of gorgeous roses !!! You brought back the belief that I can learn how to bake biscuits
I multiplied the indicated ingredients by 2, put 2/3 in Panasonic, 1/3 in Supra. Panasik with his super bowl is as always on top! I never greased it, unlike Supra, the cake itself popped onto a plate (8 cm high). But margarine did not help her, she had to help with a spatula (6.5 cm cake height). But the smaller zebra was tastier!

Thank you,Elena Bo,, how beautiful, I have long wanted to bake such a cupcake! Tell me, pzhl, have you tried baking it in the oven? How long and at what temperature to bake?
MariS
Thank you very much - how fast you are !!!
Stomik
Elena BO, do you think this cupcake can be baked in a brand pressure cooker? If so, tell me on what mode and how long? Thank you in advance. Your zebra is just beautiful !!!

Thank you, Elena, for the delicious kefir cupcake (I have been looking for such a successful recipe for a long time). If not for your master class, I would not have dared to bake in the oven. I did everything according to the recipe, but without cocoa. I baked in a gas oven at level 5 for 40 minutes, baked a little, next time I will bake for 30-35 minutes. The cupcake is amazing, the family took it with a bang! Thanks again!

I forgot to clarify: I quenched 1 tsp soda with kefir for 5 minutes, and then poured it into the dough before laying the flour and quickly mixed it, as Elena advised.

Thanks for the MK on Zebra cake. Today I decided to bake it, hammered the dough, divided it into 2 parts, climbed into the cabinet for cocoa - and there was only an empty jar. So I had to add 2 tbsp. l. flour, and therefore meet the "Zebra-albino" muffin - the whole original recipe, but without cocoa

The cake is very tasty, not greasy (I used butter), moderately sweet, not dry, in a word - delicious

Elena Bo, I am grateful. The result is a zebra! I don’t post a photo - it’s like yours. Although a couple of times baking in the cartoon did not work out and I gave up the bad one and did not take up baking at all. And then bam - and it worked :-)
Elena Bo
ankos, I'm very happy. Bake, in a slow cooker all sorts of cupcakes turn out well. And in the summer, just a salvation from a hot oven.
AnechkaAnyutk
Thanks for the recipe !!!!!! : rose: I bake often, because it is inconvenient to beat with a baby mixer with a mixer, he is afraid of noise, and this muffin is so good just beat with a fork and throw it into the cartoon and that's it !!!!!!! it became my universal speed recipe !!!!!

I baked a drunken zebra. I added a few rolls of cognac to the dough. The zebra is very fragrant. Baked in a Brand 6050 pressure cooker. Baking 59 min. True, I forgot about him and remembered only after 30 minutes. after baking.

I made a cupcake today, therefore, to the recipe, and did not pay attention to the phrase (do not knead thoroughly!)... Knead, tried. The cupcake did not rise, it turned out to be a thick pancake. Actually, I can't even get cakes in the oven, I don't know why. But I bake pizza, rolls and pies not bad. One of these days I will try to bake "zebra" again, maybe it will work out.
Thank you !!!
Now I will be more attentive.

Is there a mistake in the recipe? after all, 3 eggs without a shell is probably not 175 grams?
Probably my eggs are small, 3 pieces -150 g, but it seemed that they were of normal size. What to do, add an egg or less flour ... thoughts to yourself ...

Now I'll try to do it again. Follow your steps - trail to trail)) Let's see if it works. If not - well, nafig this baking in a cartoon

I don’t buy store eggs, I take ours from Krasnodar Poultry Farm (a machine drives into the market, sells "off the wheels"), there three C0 eggs, peeled from the shell, are pulled for 165-185g, C1 155-175g I cooked this zebra several times (in three MV: Panasonic 18, Supra 4531, Brand 37300) always turned out
I propose to reduce the number of all ingredients by (mass of 3 eggs) / 175 = some times there, for example:
margarine 111g
sugar 257g
eggs 3 pcs = (without shell) 150g
wheat flour 257g
kefir 219g (I took sour cream + milk 50/50 or sour yogurt)
cocoa powder 2 tbsp. l. from HP
soda a little less than 1 tsp. from HP

Cartoon, I'm sorry, but there is nothing dairy left in the house, otherwise I would have charged 37501 MB - I have never baked in it yet, I'm afraid I won't be able to eat such a volume.

Cartoon, in this cupcake the main thing is to observe the FLOUR / KEFIR ratio! You can take 2 eggs.

Girls, tell me, why create difficulties for yourself and calculate the recipe in grams? After all, everything is specially given in glasses, ordinary, faceted (as it seems to me, everyone has them).
jcam
Girls! Many people have very contrasting zebra stripes in the photo. No matter how much I tried to make the stripes brighter by adding cocoa, they remained light brown after baking. What cocoa do you use? Or is there some special trick to enhance the color?

Cocoa is the most common "Golden Label", something that does not dissolve completely and from a proven factory.
Elena Bo
Bummer, wonderful zebra. I also like raisins.

Thank you so much! Only yesterday I looked at it and did not buy it, because I doubted the "correctness" of the manufacturer. Can you tell me if it's better to look for Russian production? Is Red October okay?
Elena Bo
Yes, Red October.

I don’t have, not only faceted - none. I go on a visit with a 0.5 liter mug. Now a cupcake is being baked in a small Brand, it’s very interesting what happens. Before that I baked only in Panas, but today it so happened that for the sake of the holiday HP, AG and 2 MV are busy. Even the fuse on the extension cord kicked out - this is how my assistants work!

Elena Bo, Wasp, help out!
Right now, a biscuit is baked in Panas and at 37501. With the second, everything is more or less clear (on baking for 1 hour and 15 minutes, warm it up, right?)
But I don't know how much Panasonic needs to bake it!
Vei
My cupcakes turn out fine, but I am not at all friends with biscuits.
I sit, write, and around the omelet smells - is this normal ???
Oca
Well, a little omelet, that's okay. I am rarely in the kitchen (or home) when baking. In Panas, I think, in 65 minutes to look in, poke a splinter - if it's raw, then add another 20 minutes. When I somehow have enough time, I don't.
I just took out mine.
Today he baked for the longest time - he charged it twice for Standard, because there was a lot of dough ...
Vei
And in 37501, immediately get it out or leave it on heating?
Oca
If the splinter is dry, it is better to take it out immediately so that the bottom does not burn. And pulling the cake itself out of the bowl a little later, it can fall apart hot, since it is quite tender. Honestly, I still can't get to baking this particular cupcake in 37501, she is constantly busy with something.
Sindi
Thank you very much for the recipe! You can put a glass of yogurt instead of kefir (I made mine in a Polaris multicooker). It also turns out tender and tasty!

Elena, Thanks for the great recipe !! Beauty and deliciousness !! Reduced sugar in half and added orange essence to the white dough. My peasants ate almost all the cake in the evening.
I remember this zebra from my childhood: my mother baked in a large deep baking sheet and cut it into portioned diamonds .... the taste and color are the same .... mnyamka!

I'm testing my new Brand 502 multicooker. Zebra cake turned out perfect in it, I didn't correct anything! And very tasty, lush. Yes, I used butter instead of margarine.
