Buckwheat porridge with meat in a slow cooker

Ingredients

Buckwheat 1 cup (250 ml)
Meat gram 500
Onion 2 pcs
Carrot 1 large piece
Water 2 - 2.5 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Vegetable and butter to taste

Cooking method

Cut the meat (I took pork) into pieces. Cut the onion into half rings, carrots into strips. Fry everything together quickly in a mixture of vegetable and butter.
Put in a slow cooker, add salt and water.

Cook on "High" for 1 hour, then switch to low for 4-5 hours, but will be ready sooner. Or 1 hour on the "High", and then "Warm up" until the morning.

If you want drier porridge, then pour 2 glasses of water, if you cook until morning, or if you want juicy porridge, then you need 2.5 glasses of water. In the photo with 2.5 glasses of water and cooked during the day for 5 or 6 hours.

In the same way, porridge with mushrooms is prepared instead of meat.

The porridge turns out to be very tasty, steamed, with a very rich taste (as always in a slow cooker).

Note

The most delicious porridge is slow cooked!

Bon Appetit !

I make such a mess too. Delicious! But only without vegetables. You need to try with onions and carrots, it should be even tastier.
Qweenthanks for the hint.

on a whim, I did almost the same ... I'm waiting for the result: I just set the auto mode and put the meat on top (a mixture of chicken breast and a piece of pork)

Yesterday I made almost the same porridge in the evening, only added frozen mushrooms. I like this porridge the most in this composition. I did this in the cartoon often, the most eaten porridge.

and I fry minced meat with vegetables

Qween, thanks for the recipe.
Unfortunately, I shamelessly smashed the buckwheat. I put it on low at night, it turned out 7.5 hours. 2 glasses of buckwheat for 5 glasses of hot water.
In the morning I looked, but you can spread it on bread instead of pate))
So 5 hours would be enough.

I love buckwheat porridge with meat, I often cook it, but instead of meat, I fry the minced meat with onions and carrots in pieces. Delicious and satisfying!
