Oh, my pressure cooker is the second - 0105 model. So I found differences in them, two for now - the 0205 has an LCD display and a non-removable cover. Perhaps it is the 0205 that can be used as a multicooker, if you do not click on the lid (well, I think so). Although, maybe 0105 will also be possible. Now my husband will bring it and I will understand. But only for the external beauty (I read somewhere - space design), I did not want to overpay half of my cost. All programs, functions and the rest are identical, like. Well, I already love mine even in the picture. Very similar to my Panasik. I'll put it next to you and admire

Pinky, it's not yours, the cover of 0205 is removable, I've been living with it for 3 months already and I love her very much for her beautiful space design and for her simplicity and speed in use !!!
Pinky
tatlin, I read about the non-removable cover somewhere in the reviews. And in the photo in the first post, you can see that the cover cannot be removed as in the 0105th. So I'm just based on that. Well, the price for me played a decisive role in the acquisition.Although initially I also liked the 0205th.
But now mine has arrived and I, having looked, do not regret in the least that I took it. Pretty, comes up to my Panasik. So tomorrow morning I will begin to experience.
Where is our Kava? The question immediately matured. Can you only add or subtract cooking times? If you need less time than the default, then you need to set the time first and then turn on the program, or vice versa - first the program, and then adjust the time? It looks like I'll try it in the morning using the poke method I hope I won't blow up the kitchen

Pinky! Lyudochka, congratulations on your assistant !!!

White is good, I generally have everything white

And the cover-inserts in all CBs are removable, you just need to pull the pip in the middle of which.

Ira, thanks! I already tested it this morning. To begin with, I made the simplest thing - a stew and cooked a soup with pork ribs. I'll expose the photo a little later.
Well, what can I say ... I'm sooo happy with the purchase. For two hours (taking into account the preparatory work), I baked bread, stewed meat, cooked soup and buckwheat porridge in a slow cooker. Complete lunch! This is a bastard. On the program, the default soup is 20 minutes, I immediately added up to 30 minutes, because I cooked meat with a bone, I was afraid that it would not cook. Left EVERYTHING at once. The only thing, I sautéed onions and carrots in a frying pan. Poured hot water. She gained pressure for about 4-6 minutes. But I blew off the steam forcibly (I was too lazy to wait), although I would have to somehow be patient and check how long it takes to let off steam. I didn't cover it with any wet towel, just from the side, gently turned the lever with a hand with a napkin and that's it. The soup turned out to be wonderful. Transparent as I like. True, before cooking the meat separately in a saucepan on the stove, I brought it to a boil and washed it. I was just afraid that suddenly there would be foam - you couldn't collect it.
And why didn't I buy this miracle for myself? And how afraid! When I put the meat on, pressure began to build up - I see, there are no letters P and it hisses in a strange way. Well, I think that’s all - either the valve didn’t close, or some kind of honey. She just stretched out her hand to straighten the valve, and she clicked and fell silent. I jumped up in surprise. Well, the letter immediately appeared on the scoreboard.
In general, the devil is not so terrible ... Now I will conduct the next tests. I have cabbage rolls next. The only thing I didn’t like was that time can only be added, and up to a certain limit. Here on the soup, for example, up to 30 minutes, and then it again switches to the preset mode for 20 minutes. And I can't reduce it - or I just don't know how.
Pinky
Now a question for the experts. As I understand it, the most powerful program I have is "Rice" - I used it to fry meat. Specifically, I do not have the "Baking" program (it is in 0205), so you need to bake on Rice? This is me, just in case, it is suddenly required.
Has anyone cooked jellied meat? How is it with the foam? And in 99 minutes it has time to cook everything so that it freezes later? Or do you need to pour less water?
If I need to make a roast and pre-fry the meat in the SV, then it will hardly have time to fry on rice in 10 minutes. In this case, do you need to add time right away or just update the program later?

Pinky, but how are you going to set it on the Soup mode for less than 20 minutes, if there is a range from 20 up to 30 minutes? This is written in the instructions:

If you need less time, you can try the Porridge mode, there from 5 minutes.

For the jellied meat, I would bring all the meat with bones to a boil, drain the water, rinse everything with cold water and refill it with clean water and cook in a pressure cooker until tender.
No foam and clear broth.

Luda! I have a friend who has Elby. Fries on any program where your finger falls. Usually he pokes at her fish, she somehow there is this button on the side. And on rice, yes, you can fry, just add, if that time. Consider that this is your frying pan - only electric. And fry for the soup, if you do, onions and carrots, then you can right in the pan, and then there meat, water and everything else. You can pre-cook meat slightly fry with frying, then there will be no foam. And if there is foam, then it flakes around the edges or at the bottom - you catch a couple of pieces and it will remain transparent anyway. About jellied meat - in Unite they cook on beans - 2 cycles of 50 minutes each (or 40, I don't remember exactly). But it seems to me that this is not enough. Still, technologically - 6 hours usually. First, I throw in the horns-legs, beef, if there is any, carrots, onions, and for 1.5-2 hours, then I let off the steam and chicken, and again for an hour. Otherwise, I'm even worried that for a chicken 2.5-3 hours in the North-East this is too much - rags will be to the taste

On even - pioneer, and on odd who?

I still haven't figured out these pressure cookers, I have doubts that Moulinex is cooler (I can't compare with the Brand's pressure cooker, because we don't have them).

IRR
this difference of 152 grams - are you ready to overpay for design and baking in a separate program? I think yes. I said without waiting for an answer. Take it, I think it's good. Youmayo, someone has to come first, really ...
Pinky
Luysia, yes, you're right - I was the one who patted that time setting cannot be reduced. But, probably, you can forcibly turn it off if you put the program in a row twice. Well, I'm just still learning. And about jellied meat, in principle, I thought to do it. Well, what if someone has experience without preliminary boiling of meat.
IRR, but I don't have the Fish program. So it can also be done on any program, or better still, where the time is less - after all, the product is gentle.
So at first I also "liked the space. But when comparing prices, the choice fell on mine (I already bought too much equipment lately, you shouldn't tease my husband). But I don't really need baking here, the functions are almost the same as with a slight time difference, and in terms of design, mine approached me more to Panasik.
So I don’t regret a second. Now I have eaten my soup - in order for me to get such meat on the stove, I need to cook it for two hours (this is only broth). And then in 30 minutes ALL the soup is ready
IRR
People, listen ... that's about the fish. I don’t have any such progs in my mulinex at all - fish, porridge, borsch-soup, I just stupidly put out whatever I want. so that you also take a closer look and empirically. Let's say it's not too long for fish. So put the minimum. She has been preparing for almost 10 minutes with SV. If stewed with vegetables for example.
Pinky
Yes, about fish, I also thought that 10 minutes would be enough. Well, I'll try all the programs and decide what to cook on. And the soup, by the way, turned out to be even tastier than in a multicooker. Although cooked exactly the same. Here is a photo showing my first experiences.

Where there is meat, white dots are sour cream (it was frozen in a bag).
Something is wrong with the radical today - I suffer for half an hour and some kind of nonsense has turned out.
SeredaG
Question to the hostesses of Polaris: everywhere in the technical descriptions of these pressure cookers it is written that the time range is from 1 minute to 99 minutes. What is wrong? I see in the description of the prog the maximum time on the beans is 50 minutes? as in my Elby it turns out ... and I subtracted that Polaris is up to 99 minutes maximum cooking time. Here, at least for that link to Technosvit, it is also written from 1 to 99 minutes
SeredaG
Quote: Luysia

Pinky, but how are you going to set it on the Soup mode for less than 20 minutes, if there is a range from 20 up to 30 minutes? This is written in the instructions:
...

I think that the principle of your Polaris is like that of my Elby pressure cooker: you press the knob with your finger to add minutes to cooking and hold it until it exceeds the time limit - then it will go around in a circle - after 40 minutes - it will become 1 minute - 2 minutes - 3 minutes, etc. etc.
SeredaG
By the way, one more question, or rather a request: girls, please take out the saucepan from your pressure cooker and take a picture of it, because the flask is still everywhere only photos taken from the Internet are displayed, but I just want to see a photo of a real saucepan from the side and how it looks inside. You are welcome
Pinky
Now I looked into the Libertons, where the girl mentioned that the Viscount multicooker has an unpleasant smell at the beginning of use. I forgot to say that my SV, during the first rinsing with hot water, also had a strange technical smell. I mean the cover. Maybe this gum smells like that at first? Here are two dishes I cooked, it seems there is no smell now, but when I washed it after cooking it seemed that it smelled of something. Or does the saucepan cover react this way at first? I'll see how it will be
SeredaG, I still cannot say anything about 99 minutes - today is only the first experience of use. May be tatlin will answer - she has 0205th model and three months of experience
Nope, another principle. If the time is set to 20 minutes, I press the button for 1 minute, adds up to a maximum of 30 minutes and returns for 20 minutes again... That is, it turns out that the time can only be added more than the preset and up to a certain limit. Although I will cook something else, I'll check it on a different program.
Now I'm going to take a picture of the saucepan.

You are right, but only partially. If you select a mode, then the time can only be set within the acceptable limits for each specific mode.

And if you do not select the mode, then you can set any time from 1 minute to 99 minutes.

"Without selecting one of the modes with the" Cooking time "button, you can set the required time for subsequent cooking in the range from 1 to 99 minutes. Each press increases the time by 1 minute."
IRR
Luda, this is usually an elastic band so disgusting, I always wash it and hang it up so that it usually disappears all the first time, then they get used to it, do not close the lid too much when it is in the closet in the ready mode.

Pinky
Luysia, but I, too, did not really understand this idea. If "Without selecting one of the modes with the" Cooking time "button, you can set the required time for subsequent cooking in the range from 1 to 99 minutes. Each press increases the time by 1 minute.", then on what mode then cook? Or do you need to set the cooking time first and then select the program? Then it turns out that on any program you can cook for up to 99 minutes. So what?
I'll go for an hour. Weighs 532 grams on an electronic scale.
Luysia
Pinky, I don't have a pressure cooker, remember? So for now, only in theory, I can't try it myself.

I understood that after turning on the mode, you do not select any mode (that is, you don’t press Soup, Porridge, etc.), but you simply set the desired time with the Cooking Time button. And as soon as you set the time, the pressure cooker will turn on itself in one minute and start working.

Maybe you are right. It will be necessary to try this option on something.

On a glass of water! Turns on means you understood everything correctly, you can turn it off.
IRR
do you have a steamer?
Pinky
Have You - who has it? If Polaris has, then this model does not exist (and we, it seems, were on "you", or forgot? Or did you mean all the owners of Polaris?)
Yes, the steamer did not really interest me here. And there is no steam program here either. But in 0205 there seems to be a double boiler, but I also do not observe the program. Maybe there is no steam cooking in pressure cookers?
I looked at the package bundle - nope, the steamer does not appear in either model.
Pinky
Something Kava I haven't looked here yet. Not Polaris, either. Would clarify some questions.
IRR
there is also a cool one in moulinex. mono up to put when there is little, mono down when to pile

steamed potatoes, well lan ... can be adapted from multi. Potato pieces are cooked in 7-9 minutes ... by the way. (from instructions)
Pinky
I’ll think of something with a double boiler, in extreme cases I’ll buy a silicone one on legs. But now I was at once concerned about where to buy a second saucepan for SV and an additional gum. I'll have to call the service center on Monday, we can have them.
Do you need to wash the lid with the rubber band after each cooking or what? Even I tried to remove this silicone pipette under the lid, so I almost tore it off - how is it actually removed?
tatlin
Pinky, luysia- right, cooking time from 1 to 99, no program needs to be set, set the right time on the display, Menu is displayed and the whole process started, I often use potatoes, for example, for 5 minutes. and you're done, or some product must be added and brought to a boil. The gum only smelled new and drove away with water and lemon, as everyone advises now, it smells only of what I cook. I fry Rice on the program naturally with the lid open, I don't set the time, everything is fried normally - onions, carrots, meat. Aspic-cooked, Meat on the bone mode, maximum time 60 min. and turned on the program again, the meat could be eaten with the lips, the broth was transparent, there was a little foam around the edges of the saucepan! If you ask Kicks anything, I will try to help, although I myself came up with everything by typing, the instructions are so-so. There are no steamers in Polaris, well, you can buy an insert, the lid with an elastic band is mine almost after every cooking, pull harder for the first time, it is tightly removed.
Pinky
Girls, do I need to cook buckwheat on "rice" or "Kasha"?
Pinky
Girls, I made stewed cabbage in a pressure cooker today. I did not wait for advice and decided myself. The cabbage was with pickled plums, apple and raisins. In manual mode, I set it for 3 minutes, put cabbage and onions + apples + plums + raisins + tomato, sugar, salt, pepper, previously salted in a pan. Mixed in a saucepan, added herbs. I didn't add water. She turned it on and in a hurry forgot to close the valve. Three minutes later, she hissed at me and I quickly closed the valve. This is probably why she was gaining pressure for 6 minutes. Then 3 minutes of pressure cook. For another 3 minutes, she released the pressure herself, and then I myself finally let off steam for another 1 minute. The cabbage turned out to be amazing (I was very afraid that it would not be overcooked under pressure) - completely ready-made, not a sauerkraut, but just right. Only I can't guess with the salt / sugar yet - I had to add a little sugar, because it seemed a little sour because of the plums. But delicious!
Actually, all frying can be safely done in the saucepan itself on rice and, last of all, lay the cabbage. But, since I did it for the first time, I did it as usual on the stove.
Now I want to try to cook pasta in SV.

She's like an elephant in a hot shower And what I thought before? What has SV not bought before? Now I have both cartoon and SV in esteem more than a plate. I go and think what else to cook. Yes, just not everything is eaten as quickly as they cook for me
Although I'll still play with the stove - I bought myself Peterhoff pans with ceramic coating, today I tried it for the first time and also got a lot of pleasure.
Pinky
And today I am in my Polaris made chicken breast in creamy wine sauce... The yummy turned out And quickly - all the preparation, together with the preparation of the products, took 20 minutes. I did it for 3 minutes in manual mode, however, I previously fried onion and chicken pieces on Rice.
Melanyushka
Girls, how do you get baked goods in Polaris? Did anyone do? Please share your impressions. I want an electric pressure cooker, I started looking for Brand in our stores and came across Polaris 105, it's cheaper, but the functions are the same. I would like to see more baked goods as it turns out.
tatlin
Everything that girls bake in cartoons, everything turns out great in a pressure cooker, - baked "chocolate on boiling water", a diamond "Winter Palace", pie "Baba Yaga", lean chocolate cake, your favorite Berry, which was always baked in the oven and then on translated quickly, so bake! Maybe someone will need information about steaming, there are no steamer inserts in Polaris, I did not find a silicone chamomile of a suitable diameter, I bought a metal chamomile from 14 to 23 on legs, poured a glass of warm water into a saucepan, put the chamomile so that it does not touch I filled the sides of the saucepan with cauliflower inflorescences and its leaves (fresh), the sentence time was 8 minutes, it was a little scary, something clicked there, maybe you can't use metal dishes, well, in general, 8 minutes is a lot, the cabbage turned out to be very soft, for toothless, but not fell apart. I will try something else.
tatlin
105Polar does not have the "Baking" function!
Melanyushka
tatlin, I see that you have a polaris205, how do you feel, is it flimsy? Reliable thing, easy to use? I wanted to take a cheaper 105 model, but it's probably better to take Polaris205, there are good reviews about it, share your impressions of it. Or order Brand, the girls have tested it so well now, so I struggle with the choice, while there are both Polaris105 and 205, and the brand ... Help me make a choice.
tatlin
I am very pleased with my Polaris and also knocked out my friend, the design is cosmic, the saucepan does not burn in order, you can fry on "Rice" with the lid open, the baked goods work out, most of all I like that it is fast and there is no need to stand near the stove! Especially on the eve of my mother's vacation in Bryansk, when the whole big family gathers and I am always at the stove and there are still preparations for two families, I think my fast car will help me a lot! Of course, there are shortcomings - the legs are not thought out, the saucepan must be held, when you press the button hard, it rides a little on the table, cooked jellied meat in the first days of use and, due to inexperience, swelled a whole saucepan, when forcibly released the pressure, it filled the entire lid, apparently the broth was half of the arrow and the floor of the inscription on the valve were erased, well, it's her own fault, but all these shortcomings are covered by the main advantage - the ability to set the cooking time from 1 to 99 minutes. After reading so far 30 pages. about testing Skoromulti Brand, I did not find such a function! For me personally, this function is important - and the products are different and the tastes of family members too. Well, the price was also very happy! The choice is yours, I suffered for two months and do not regret it. Ask if anything.

Probably poorly read https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=165445.0
tatlin
Well, maybe I didn't understand, it says "change the default time", but I have to set my own and the inscription Menu lights up. I then aimed to buy the second -Brand more functions, but this one, like Polaris, did not find, I will study further and follow the testing.
Melanyushka
tatlin, thanks! I read about pressure cookers everywhere and everything I can find, while I digest the information and choose something. Cuckoos seem to be out of competition, but the price ...! You write that Brand has more functions, but from the practice of using what functions are missing in Polaris, of those that Brand has?

Elena Bo, can you set your own time in Brand too? Which mode? I read the entire thread all the time and probably also missed it, where they say that you can set the required time, well, since, for example, in Polaris from 1 to 99 minutes.
Melanyushka
Luysia, thanks for the link, I have studied everything there for a long time and on our site from the first pages I follow the testing of Brand 6050, but without having such a unit in my hands, some moments are not entirely clear. I found a clear answer that the maximum allowable time is 59 minutes, and here we are talking about "... from 1 to 99 minutes ..", so I decided to clarify. But it seems that in Polaris it is possible to immediately set such a time, and in Brand it is max. 59 minutes. (found the answer by Elena Brand Topic: Misunderstandings about Brand 6050 on the official site forum).
Operation manual can not open m. B. then it would be more understandable.
tatlin
Brand has a separate "steamer" function and a "frying" function, although I have already adapted to frying in Polaris, I also bought an insert-steamer and use the function "cooking time" - starting with 1 min., You put what you need, of course 99- thu min. never used it! there is no need. Well, it's just convenient, for example, one type of potato is cooked for 5 minutes, and some other - 8 minutes, the "baking" mode is strictly 30 minutes. if an hour is needed, then twice for 30 minutes or immediately as much as needed-35 or 40 or 43.
tatlin
I forgot to add about boiling jellied meat - there is a "meat on bone" mode, the maximum time is 60 minutes, well, the pork ears loved by my husband turned out to be very soft, but elastic, and the meat itself slipped from the legs and shank, and the old beef was also soft - for 60 minutes.
Pinky
Today I also tried to cook jellied meat in a pressure cooker for the first time. The program "Meat on the bone" in time increased to 50 minutes (max.) I cooked, opened it and found that I had forgotten to salt. She took out the largest bones, which had already completely fallen off, salted and on the manual mode for another 20 minutes, well, so that the meat would completely move away from the remaining bones. Here's how it turned out. Polaris pressure cookersTransparent, tasty broth. Everything is great, only ... maaalooo! For the first time, I cooked half a pork shank + a piece of beef for the test. Therefore, the meat is not enough. I didn’t even fill it with water completely; But during the cooking time, a lot of fat has gathered (this is bad, because I usually remove all the fat on the stove). Although, oddly enough, this did not affect the transparency of the broth. On the stove, I would have "blurred" long ago. The saucepan was probably very full, because it sizzled and splashed a little during cooking. The valve was closed exactly.
Now I'll see how it freezes.
In general, for the holidays - it will not be enough, but if you suddenly want to, then you can cook several plates. The main thing is very fast.
Oh, glitches on the radical! I struggle for an hour, trying to insert the second photo!
