Lean tea gingerbread

Ingredients

Wheat flour 2st
Sugar 0.5st
Jam 0.5 st.
Tea brewing 1 st.
Soda 0.5h l
Baking powder for the dough 1h l
Vegetable oil 2st. l
Optional: raisins, prunes ...
Spices: star anise, cloves, cardamom ... 1-2h l

Cooking method

  • Sift flour with baking powder, add sugar.
  • Brew strong tea, it is good if it has some kind of delicious aroma for you.
  • I personally brew with bergamot.
  • To extinguish the soda in the jam, it is desirable that it be sour, but usually I collect the remnants of the liquid jam, and I mix them.
  • Mix tea with jam, quickly add flour and stir well, add p. m. odorless.
  • If desired, you can add raisins or prunes.
  • Add spices to taste, preferably those that are used for baking gingerbread.
  • If you add cloves, then in very small quantities, just a couple of cloves.
  • The dough should not be steep, put it on a baking sheet and level it with a wet hand, the thickness of the crust is approximately 2cm-2.5cm.
  • Bake until tender at 180g.
  • While the cake is hot, you can grease with honey and sprinkle with nuts, cut into portions.

I think that during Lent it is also good to please yourself and your loved ones with a delicious tea gingerbread.
This recipe has been lost in my notebook for a long time. You can call it folk.

I baked a gingerbread in a slow cooker, very tasty. She put thorns in jam, added ground dry ginger and cardamom from spices, when she smeared a hot gingerbread with honey, the aroma was crazy. Thanks a lot for the recipe!
