Note

Incredibly delicious porridge!

The aroma is rich, it is impossible to describe - it smells like creamy and baked apples.
With the purchase of a small slow cooker, I cook regularly, since I am not too lazy to wash it later.

It seems to me that thick porridges are more interesting, which, if desired, can be washed down with milk (we prefer baked milk or fermented baked milk), or diluted with milk in a plate.

I recommend not stirring slow-cooked thick, puff porridges before putting them on a plate, since a very tasty baked crust on top is obtained.

Bon Appetit !

Anya, ohh, how beautiful !!! I want such porridge!

and I have the same current Panasik cartoon !! and what, it will not work to shift to panasik?
Qween
Lyudochka, thanks! It is a pity that the AROMA cannot be transmitted through the monitor.

Unfortunately, other appliances cannot match the taste and aroma of porridge cooked in a slow cooker. Well, perhaps, try to cook in the oven (in a ceramic pot), at a low temperature.

In Panas, you can cook on "Stew" for about 6 hours. But Panas will fry from below in any way, and just as in a slow cooker, it will still not work.
Lisss's
I got it! went to buy a slow cooker ...

Qween
Lyudochka, you can buy a slow cooker cheaper than an inexpensive multicooker. Come on over to our slow-cookers. We will stock you up as soon as possible, you know ...

Lisss's
ANECHKAAAAA !! What is your slow cooker?
celfh
What porridge
Qween
Lisss's - Lyudochka, I have two slow cookers. One for 6.5 liters Morphy Richards, and the other for 3 liters Cookworks.

celfh - Tanya, thank you!
Pinky
Qween Anya, hello! Have you bought yourself a little slow cooker? Confess where and how much? I'm reading recipes here and slowly choking on saliva. I would buy a little one for myself. So now I want both a pressure cooker and a slow cooker. Send me where there is at a reasonable price.
Qween
Hello Lyudochka!

Yes, I also bought a small one. Now I'll write to you in a personal message.
IRR
Anya! I just called Edik, hello to you! Girls who need 3 liters for 200 hryvnia, write in a personal, I'll throw his phone. You can also bargain, as I understand. He, as always, wants to sell out quickly.
Qween
Ira, thanks for the hello! I wish all the girls a slow cooker, or even two.

By the way, that ice cream maker that came from Edik made me ice cream in 5 minutes. I was shocked. I looked, something was quickly prepared, and turned off to look. I look, and the truth is already ready. I turned on the motor, and it was already so frozen in those seconds that the blade could not turn.
IRR
now half of the forum will run to buy slow cars

already 120 views Anya, thanks for the porridge I will definitely try, because millet simplyI don’t like it, it’s rough for me, and if I cook, then it’s delicious for me only the first time, and then ...
Scarecrow
And I'll line up with joyful screams. I love porridge, so I have to try it. And there are apples. Only ... the flesh-fires ... I fed the remains of the millet to the dogs, you fool ... Should I try with rice? ...
Lisss's
Natick, you can't take away from dogs ??
Qween
IRR, get it ready, you'll like it. Millet turns out great, like all other cereals.

Scarecrow, with rice it will be delicious. And millet mixed with rice is also very tasty. In short, everything is delicious.

In short, your millet with apples will now turn into rice with apricot puree, which I have fresh, I defrosted it, but it doesn't taste very good to me when raw ... I got unscented apricots.

Lisss's

This is if you risk your health very much.
Qween
Scarecrow, rice with apricots will be delicious too. Don't forget toko butter.

I also inform you, as a saffron lover, that with it (with saffron) slow-cooked porridge smells very tasty (both too). You don't need much (we will save a lot for Easter cakes), at least a few threads are enough.
Omela
Anya, well, this is some kind of mockery !!!! It is impossible to pass by !!!! I want a little MVD !!!
Qween
Oksanochka, well, we could organize a three-liter slow cooker from Ukraine (1.5 liters and we don't have it). But the delivery will be very expensive, the slow cooker is heavy ...

Omela
That is understandable ... At least put your bandura straight for the sake of such a gruel !!!
Qween
Well, I, too, used to stick the bandura back and forth, and put the pots in it.

Although the bandura is also very necessary. The other day I made three liters of baked milk, and then fermented baked milk from it.
Lana
Qween
Excellent porridge you got! The beauty!
What is the temperature in your slow cooker? We have a Dolgovarka mode in Kukushka, on it the temperature is 50-55 * C (75-80 * and 95-105 *) and without pressure ... Won't fit your recipe?
Qween
Lana, Thank you !

To be honest, I don't know exactly the cooking temperature. It is written differently in different sources. But I think that the maximum temperature is 80 degrees. When they brought a small slow cooker, I poured water into the bowl and tried different modes. After 4 hours at maximum it boils quite strongly, and the milk is even stronger. When I experienced heating, the water was so hot that it was impossible to hold a hand, and the steam was very hot. Therefore, I decided that heating can be used as a separate mode, if you start at "High".

I don't have a special thermometer, otherwise I would have made temperature measurements.

It is possible that the "Dolgovarka" mode may well replace the slow-cooker "Heating". But, the first cooking time, I think, should be done not on "Dolgovar", but on some other mode, giving a higher temperature.

PS: You added about the temperature 75-80 and 95-105. Then I start from this. Cook at 75-80 first, then switch to 50-55.

Thank you for such a detailed answer!
These are three temperature levels in the Dolgovarka mode in the cuckoo 1054. So I will do as you advise Thank you!

Qween! Are you by any chance a telepathic ?! I was exhausted, as I wanted porridge with apples, but they took doubts, pour hot milk with cold milk? And here you are with ready-made porridge! Respect and respect to you!

I bought millet. But we almost ate the apples ... We need to make it before we run out at all ...)))

Dear Qween, I really ask for your help in explaining how to cook just porridge in a slow cooker.
I have several questions:
1) how to calculate the proportion of water and cereals, for example, for buckwheat and wheat porridge.
2) I have a 6.5 liter saucepan, what is the minimum I can cook in it.
Well, something like this, my husband suffers from group 2 diabetes (not insulin dependent) I want to do as much as possible for him, otherwise I look at his lean plate and: girl_cray: a tear comes, can you share some other delicacies in the direction of healthy eating using a miracle pots, I will be very grateful.
PS How much I struggle with him, except for buckwheat, wheat, rice and oatmeal I can’t shove anything.

Aha, telepathic! I happen to dream in the evening about some whitewash or dumplings, and in the morning, bam, my mother is going to cook and invites me to visit. Mom also asks if I'm a telepathic, that I place orders at a distance.

flacountil I had a little slow cooker, I cooked everything at 6.5. If small volumes were needed, then I put from one to three pots with different dishes in a slow-cooking cauldron, or something in glasses. If the minimum of porridge is cooked at 6.5, it will not be convenient, I think so.

I recommend doing this:

1. Put cereals and boiling water in a saucepan or pot in the proportions you like, salt. For example, we prefer buckwheat cooked in two parts of water. Rice in three parts water. Wheat we prefer viscous and therefore I pour a lot of water, I do not observe the exact proportions, but for about one part of wheat groats 5 parts of water. So proportions are a matter of personal preference.

2. In the cauldron of the slow cooker, pour a couple of centimeters of water, and put the dishes with cereals and boiling water.

3. It will be ready in 2 hours for sure if you cook on a high setting. You can cook overnight on a low setting, and then feel free to fill the cereal with cold water.

The minimum of porridge that I cooked in the cauldron itself is 6.5, and not in pots - one liter of milk and a few tablespoons of cereal, so that there is not a thick porridge. And she cooked little meat, even the bottom of the slow cooker was not closed.

You can cook whatever you want in a slow cooker. I have no special recipes, as I came up with, and cook. Right now I'm preparing beetroot caviar with garlic, it smells so strong that I really want to gobble up the undercooked.

You write what your husband can eat, what you want to cook from, and we will figure out how to portray it tastier.

If your cereals go well, then it turns out deliciously if you put different cereals with vegetables and mushrooms in layers. Stuffed cabbage with millet can be cooked, stuffed with pepper.
IRR
Anechka, my mother has the same thing - I know for sure - you can have buckwheat, oatmeal, millet, wheat (like artek), rice only unpeeled, brown type that is cooked for a long time, so it is just for slow food. Low-fat meat (no pork, no offal). From vegetables and fruits - a minimum of potatoes (starch is processed into sugar), carrots - beets are possible, but not from the belly (they are sweet in themselves), Bulgarian pepper, fresh pickled cucumbers are possible, tomatoes are slightly possible, babany-wine is not desirable, apples lemons can be ... here, something like this ...

flaco, excuse me for getting in, I have this burning topic for a mommy, because diabetics really have a meager table, and this is their salvation. But it happens just really

Anya! I cooked porridge and already gobbled up, did not take a picture, I also put pumpkins with an apple. Today I'm putting it on again, I won't forget to capture it. This is not porridge, this is horror, how delicious it smells of baked apples.

: secret: now I'm not even hiding the slow baby, because of this porridge. Worth ready 1

I'm just looking at it. I didn't even forget to buy millet, by the way (this rarely happens to me. I mean, so as not to forget ...) It is planned for the night. I mean, by morning. Here.

Thank you girls
Everything is accessible and understandable, I will try
pots have, I hope they do not need to be closed with lids?
PS I didn't like the cabbage rolls in the slow cooker (I hate the smell of cabbage) and in the saucepan all the smells are very concentrated. I would like to cook something from a vegetable, like a stew or a dozen salad, so that vegetables are thrown over, salt, sweetened and add vinegar (if possible in a saucepan?)
I understand that it is not good to put everything in one topic, tell me where you will go next time with usefulness, because I was faced with the fact that this recipe is for our pan and in the recipe section for it there is no such recipe, but it hangs in new ones, I It's just that I haven't adapted very well here, and that's why I ask so many questions. Thank you for your patience and help.
Qween
flaco, here is a Temka, where you can share your experience of cooking in slow cookers -
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=122785.1000 .

Cook the stew as planned. Lay vegetables in layers, salt, seasonings can be added. I would not add vinegar, but you see how they love you at home. Do not add water either, and so the juice from vegetables will be.

If you do it in pots, then you can put porridge in one pot, and vegetable stew in the second pot.

The pots can be left without lids. The smells do not mix.
Qween
IRRochka, I'm glad that you liked the porridge. I'll wait for a photo!

Thank you very much everyone!
I began to measure the pots 2, however, only a mess got in, however, I measured the pan with water - 5 liters went under the string, although everywhere it was stated that 6.5.
Well, God bless her, I decided to cook porridge for 1 liter of milk, rice porridge will be with apples and butter, I added a little saccharin, I really wanted frozen strawberries, but I was afraid to spoil it, put it on a slow mode for 4 hours, and then the heating will turn on, in general until the morning it should be ready, I then decided to spread the porridge in the pots, so that for breakfast from the refrigerator into the microwave and, for example, would be warm after tomorrow for breakfast. And then what will I cook for 2 pots? In general, thanks to everyone who helped, tomorrow we will take off the sample - I will unsubscribe.
lunova-moskalenko
Qween, I'm going to cook your porridge, but ... And I have no heating in the MV. What can I do, advise!
Qween
IRRochka, very beautiful porridge! I didn't see that you edited your post.
nvk, if there was no heating, then I would cook on a low. And I did this before - I poured milk or water into pots, plus cereals. And she put the pots in the slow-cooker bowl, and which she poured a little water. And before buying a small slow cooker, I didn't even pour, and put the pots on a dry bottom.

Only if you cook in the very bowl of the slow cooker all night long on low, you may not have enough milk for that amount of cereal. Porridge can be fried. I think it will be better if the amount of milk is increased by another 250 grams.
Scarecrow
And where is my post about porridge ?! I wrote it two days ago, and sho? Didn't I send it?

And I think - something no one is writing to me: curl milk from apples or not. Here is a girl-lokhushko))). I curled up. True, the aesthetics suffered, and even then only slightly, but the taste is very mild and only moderately!
Gaby
Chuchelka, specially awaited your post with impressions. Did you pour the boiled milk?

Chuchelka, specially awaited your post with impressions. Did you pour the boiled milk?

Yes. poured boiling water and curled up in those same 20 minutes on high mode. True, by the morning it was all absorbed into the millet, so protein flakes were just visible in some places interspersed and that's it. Everyone ate with pleasure: me and the children.
Qween
Scarecrow, to your health!

Girls, my milk is not curdling. But, I wrote that I put sweet apples. The porridge on the photo was cooked with Golden apples and something even further in the name. Very ripe, yellow, sweet.
Scarecrow
Apples took Belevskie (our local), very sweet, red, sugary. I did everything as you wrote. For some reason I thought that the milk would curdle and that's how it came out. Maybe it's the milk. What do you take? Ultra-pasteurized? Because I have a whole week storage. I only buy this. And it also turned out that my heating turns on only for 2 hours (and the time does not change, this is the maximum), so after a high of 20 minutes I switched to low for 2 hours, after which the heating automatically turned on for another 2 hours, and then it just stood warm and waited for the morning. Here.

I increased your portion by one and a half times. There remained a bowl of porridge, put it in the refrigerator, and ate it again for breakfast the next day. I didn't finish 2-3 tablespoons and forgot on the table, went to work. Jean mustache ate it and licked the plate to a shine. He got it for the nuts in full, but it turns out that everyone tried the porridge, except for Unentia. This dunce hasn't thought of rummaging around the tables yet. Lost a lot ...
Qween
Maybe try to cook it with yellow apples, for comparison?
I take milk either homemade or ordinary pasteurized milk with a short shelf life.

It’s even a pity for Unentia, he’s still not smart, and therefore malnourished. Such a modest, shy Unentius ...
And Jean, I think, did not even understand why he got it. And if he did, then it seemed to him that he didn't care, but he ate some tasty food. And for nuts? He probably thought that he already falls, once more, once less.
Irene
I made this porridge! Girls, no words, how wonderful it turned out! I brought it to work today, gave it to our gourmet cooks to try, everyone appreciated it! Quinn, you're a genius!
Qween
Irene, to your health! I am very glad that I enjoyed it so much!
The milk did not curl like Scarecrows ?

So I again cooked such a porridge, and watched with a specialist until I switched to heating. I affirm again - the milk did not curdle. Apples put all the same.
Irene
No, not curled up! I also shone a flashlight, everything is OK. I put the apples, which were not eaten, even slightly wilted, I used them in porridge. The taste is like baked milk. But it is, that on melted, I cooked on low for 4 hours, and then the pan stood on the heating for an hour (it was at night, I did not control the process). In short, I never stop rejoicing at this device.
