Orange and pistachio cookies

Ingredients

flour 350 g
butter 280 g
yolks 2 pcs
powdered sugar 100 g
pistachios 200 g
zest from one orange
orange liqueur 30 ml
vanilla sugar 1 p
chocolate 72% cocoa 50-70 g

Cooking method

  • 1. Beat butter at room temperature with powdered sugar until creamy. Continuing to beat, add the yolks. Add orange zest and liqueur.
  • 2. Mix flour, vanilla sugar and finely ground pistachios. Combine with butter-yolk mass and knead a plastic dough. Form sausages with a diameter of 3-4 cm, wrap in foil and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  • 3. Cut the sausages into pieces 1-1.5 cm thick and bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper.
  • 4. Melt the chocolate in a water bath and decorate the cooled cookies.

The cookies are tender, moderately crumbly. And the scent reminds of the upcoming New Year holidays.
Cookies are prepared quickly and not at all difficult, but they look very elegant.
