Liver salad.

Ingredients

beef or chicken liver 500g
potato 5-6 pcs
egg 4 things
gherkins 6-7 pcs
bulb onions
mayonnaise

Cooking method

  • Set aside the onion, cook the rest, except the cucumbers .. pickle them.
  • Liver salad.
  • Next, we take a dish or saucer (if there are few people), three everything on a grid and spread it in layers:
  • potato-onion-potato-cucumber-liver-protein-potato.
  • We coat all layers with mayonnaise, without fanaticism ...
  • Crumble the top, the yolks that are not in business and put them in the fridge, cool ..

This light salad is very good. delicious in a day!
There is one little story connected with this:
my friend's sister made this salad,
and on top, garnished with green peas, when served, the salad was billed as "Warthog".
For all the fun, no one touched him.
And how delicious it turned out to be, infused, by the evening of the next day ...

I always cook it myself on December 30, so that by the night of the 31st it will be itself.

Aprelevna, I often make such a salad, class, everyone loves it very much, but I lightly fry the onion and mix it with potatoes. And I have grated carrots there instead of cucumbers, the rest is the same. This salad is salted with cucumbers and carrots are more sweet. It seems that the substitution is small, but the taste radically changes, and it seems like two completely different salads. If interested, try it as an option too. I think you'll like it too. Or you can alternate ..

I have always made this salad with beef liver, in Russia it is not a problem to buy it.
And then very good. the strange thing is that I cannot always find beef liver in the local shops,
practically none at all.
There is always pork, chicken ... even rabbit, but somehow I bought only beef once.
PS: I didn't think to order my butcher, who recently brought me beef tongues, and tails, and meat ..))
And I began to buy chicken, it seems to me more tender and tastier.

But lately, all salads that need to be layered with mayonnaise have been made in a "lazy" way: I mix each layer with a small amount of mayonnaise at once (or through a layer of products that are especially difficult to seep out). Then the impregnation is more fun. Already beets with carrots for herring under a fur coat, I do exactly that.
In this salad, I would mix the second layer of potatoes and the liver itself in advance. But I left the bottom layer as it is, so that it does not creep when you unfold it. Well, and the top certainly needs to be watered pretty, as in this picture

I put in my penny: the chicken is cooked after boiling for 7 minutes maximum, otherwise it will be dry (which cannot be worse for the liver). She's small and very tender, that's enough for her. Even when I cook the first on giblets, I take it out after this boiling time and throw it into the soup at the very end. And yet, with strong digestion, it gives bitterness to the broth and spoils its color, and itself loses its taste (this is already by the way on the topic).
In general, this salad on duty can be called - Unnated (in the sense, it will never get bored!)
