Cooking method

  • Putting Water -> Salt -> Butter (I didn't melt it - I just picked it off with a spoon) -> Flour -> Powdered milk -> dry. yeast. Cut 2 large onions into cubes, fried until golden brown in a small amount of butter, sprinkled with a little flour and fried more. Added to the dough after the oven beep. For the first time, I overdid it a bit with butter, when I was frying the onions - the onions were kneaded badly - some remained on the walls - I kneaded them with my hands. So be aware. The bread turned out to be sooo aromatic, tasty.

For the first time I decided to bake onion bread in KhP, and the "first pancake" almost turned out to be lumpy. But everything is in order. Here's my recipe:

Corn oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Honey - 1 tbsp. l.
Salt - 1 tsp

Flour white unbleached - 2 cups
Indian flour multigrain - 1 3/4 cups
Large onion, finely chopped and lightly tired with almost no oil
Dry yeast - 1 1/4 tsp.

Well. Before experimenting with onions, I usually took about 300 ml of water, milled 1 tbsp in it. l. sour cream or plain yogurt and topped up to 375 ml. I put the onion in a measuring glass and it reached the 200 ml mark. He plopped a spoonful of yogurt in the same place and, having estimated that the onions were also wet, so that less water could be used, he added up to 500 ml. This was my mistake.
I usually set the HP timer so that the bread is ready by 7.30 in the morning, for breakfast. So it was this time. But today I woke up something early, about 6 in the morning, and decided to go and see how my experiment was going. Oh God! The bucket is almost full of very batter that keeps rising. I immediately turned off the stove, dumped the dough into a bowl, added another cup of white flour, set it to rise for half an hour. I prepared a baking sheet, covered it with wax paper, laid out the dough, put it in a warm place to part. The dough was still thin, so it crawled into a rather thin loaf, but I was already afraid to change anything. Preheated oven to 410 F (200 C) and baked for 40 minutes. Here's what happened:

As you can see, the bread is well baked, the crumb is normal, the crust is thin. How tasty it is can be judged by the fact that by the time I got to the camera, the quarters were gone! And even my wife, who does not eat my bread, preferring store-bought bread, said that the bread is very good and she will eat it.
