Camouflage buttons.

There is nothing more to say.
What dyes can you put on bread? Name the manufacturer, pliz. For a long time there was such an idea, but when I remember that my hands have not been washed from Easter eggs for three days, it becomes somehow scary ... I want to buy bright colors: green, orange, red, blue! Imagine what a festive roll you can bake!

I knitted a cardigan for my daughter, we decided to sew on SUCH buttons for the first time. Can you imagine the reaction of a teacher and classmates when she bites a "button" in class
Ru
By the weekend I will definitely stamp buttons for my nephews. Only advice is needed. I practically did not use dyes (I bought dry ones) and I do not know at what point to add them - to stir it into the liquid before the flour or is it better to mix it into the dough?
hostess
AXIOMA, just Super !!! What a beauty! I will definitely prepare this beauty for children. Thanks for the recipe. I can already imagine what will be the joyful exclamations.
milvok
I also cooked something like that - the main thing is beautiful! Only natural dyes - turmeric and cocoa. Children will definitely appreciate it.

Hello, Wasp!!
You can put ground saffron, turmeric, barberry, beet juice, black or red currant juice, pumpkin, beta-carotene in bread for color ... The latter was strongly recommended by the USSR Ministry of Health to improve visual acuity.
Producer Dnipro starch - treacle plant. This provitamin is found in the corn germ.
You can buy it without a prescription at the pharmacy. There you can also buy rubber medical gloves - reliable protection against any dye, including dry synthetic Easter eggs when dyeing.
If you want to buy gloves cheaper - take a look at the disposable tableware section in Metro!

Buttons Cookies (Oven)

Thin, elastic and non-allergenic! For a long time I have been working in the kitchen with gloves, even for hygienic reasons!

Dry food colors of various colors are available at any food market in grocery trays, ask ...

Ru, it is more convenient to add dry dye directly to the dough.

hostess, if you have not yet started mastering the recipe, pay attention, please, to the experience of baking buttons milvok !
It will come in handy!
Oca
AXIOMA, thank you for the detailed answer! I'll try to joke with dyes on the market, the main thing is that they don't smell like chemistry. There are pumpkins and beets, boom trying to paint The Metro store is probably far from me, because I have no idea what it is and where. I stock up on Guarantor, Mishutka, Eastern Market, Magnet, Pyaterochka.
Gloves are, yes, a useful thing, especially when washing dishes with alkali (from fat) and acid (from plaque and scale). I buy them at the pharmacy (in the spring I took 4p * a couple, now it seems more expensive) and ask for a small size so that they do not fall off. I have not tried to cook in them, more often I use all sorts of chopsticks, spatulas, tongs - so at least one hand remains unstained.
Ru
Buttons Cookies (Oven)
Made 4 colors:
Chocolate - cocoa + grated chocolate (delicious!)
Yellow - Turmeric + Lemon Peel
Pink - blackcurrant jam. the color turned out to be some kind of dirty, so I added a dye.
Green - dye and vanillin.
Honestly, I expected that the flavorings would be felt, but most of all, the aroma of butter is felt.
Only the taste of chocolate was strong enough to compete with it. Even the lemon zest, even though I put it about a teaspoon, somehow got lost.

Adorable buttons! So they ask to be eaten It's good that the paint does not feel, otherwise it would turn out to be completely real
Ru
Well, as flavoring additives, I did not count on dyes, of course, but on zest and blackcurrant jam. It seemed to me that the jam would turn out great, but it was lost there
In general, the target audience approved the recipe
The four-year-old nephew kept trying to call someone to tell them that she was eating buttons. Moreover, without the urging of adults, she herself came up with a joke of humor.
I only met the greater enthusiasm in her eyes when she climbed to nibble the roof of the Christmas gingerbread house.
This is inspiring. That and look, I will dare to cake-barbie, yes to sculpt McKwin's lightning

Well, I don’t know ... maybe ... gloves usually get in my way when I work and tend to slip. It's hard to get used to. And yeast dough is so wonderful! So soft, warm and fluffy (and does not stick, except for rye) that you want to squeeze and squeeze
