Fruits arbitrarily
Parchment (stripes) by the number of servings
Cutting circle (any item) 1 PC

Cooking method

  • At the numerous requests of the members of the forum, I post photos of my portion, as I do.
  • In principle, everything should be clear from the photographs, but if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer.
  • Assembling a portioned cake (master class)
  • And here's another cake:

Note

The most important thing is the diameter of the cake.
The cake is 24 cm in diameter. Cut into 16 servings.
(I cut out the middle with a regular plastic lid for jars).
If you make a 30 cm cake, you get 20 pieces (I cut out the middle with a 12 cm mug.) At the moment, the cake was 26 cm in diameter (I cut out the middle with a sour cream lid) and cut it into 20 portions. I didn't think of measuring the pieces themselves, but approximately their width is 3-3.5 cm. You can plant a rose (not large) and place fruits.

Thank you BIG, very interesting.

lyudmila7206, Thank you!! It's so interesting and it seems so simple. But ... how wide do you get such thin pieces? I can't cut the cake so thin. What is the diameter of the cake in the photo?
Caprice
lyudmila7206, Liu-yud! Leave Seryoga at home there, come to us yourself! Let's bake the cakes

Caprice Ira, and you need to think very carefully about this question ...

I liked MK very much !!!
Cake .... finally ...: girl_love: SUPER !!!

According to my calculations, the width of the piece is about 4 cm. (Circumference 3.14 * 26 = 81.64 / 20 pieces = 4.08 cm)
Irina Dolars
lyudmila7206, very elegant, appetizing, understandable
And according to my calculations, the width of the piece is 4cm.

Yeah, already fixed

Everything is super
I join the question from the previous post
Gerberka
The answer is ......! It's a torn napkin.
Kapeliya777
I confirm everything is correct

I understood this right away, just how to cut it so that the pattern would hit like that (well, for the especially gifted, explain)
Kapeliya777
the napkin means the one that is put under the cakes, I fold it in half twice, and the part that is dense (circle, middle) is simply cut out, the rim is openwork, I cut it into 4 pieces, and from one napkin I immediately get clothes into 4 pieces

And it does not get wet, I usually have it under the cake, some of it gets wet.
Kapeliya777
Of course it gets wet between the pieces, but due to the fact that there is a dry edge that can be neatly pryed off and it can be removed without residues.
lyudmila7206
Kapeliya777 What a smart girl you are !!!!!!! Everything worked out great for you. I even made some kind of napkin, but I would not have thought of this ...
I accept your test
Natalia Polt
Thank you, everything is described very clearly.
And what kind of cream is there?
lyudmila7206
Natasha, it’s here a cream of vegetable cream. You can also use oil or protein.
Elya_lug
lyudmila7206, brought you thanks for the MK. I did it for the New Year's party in kindergarten, the condition was to do something portioned. Since I am not friends with cupcakes yet, I remembered your method. Thank you very much!
that's what happened

In our cafe, portions are wrapped in a transparent film as for flowers, so I think it's food or not
lyudmila7206
Elya_lug You are smart. These cakes are wonderful. The kids were probably happy. I am very pleased that this idea came in handy.
lyudmila7206
nusya The cling film (if you taste it) is sweetish, and not food - tasteless. Once in my childhood my mother explained to me and let me try - a really sweet taste. Now hardly anyone produces cling film, there is one chemistry everywhere. Although who knows ......

My daughter is in college, there are 23 boys and one girl in the group!
The question arose of how to congratulate the boys on the 23rd of February and your idea turned out to be just super cool !!!

Luda, Thank you very much for the master class !!!! Very useful! Moreover, now it is not necessary to invent a bicycle think about how to cut a napkin, because Lily now has special napkins !!!
lyudmila7206
The other day I was making another portioned cake. I used Lily's napkins. This is how it looks:

Thanks to Lilechka.
Irina Dolars
Lyudmila, very cute! And the dark napkins contrast wonderfully with the decoration of the cake! Assembling a portioned cake (master class)
lyudmila7206
Thank you, Irochka. At first, I didn't really like the dark napkins, but I decided to try them first. And I was pleased with the result.
Elya_lug
lyudmila7206, the pieces look so elegant, as if in chocolate. And I didn't dare to take the brown ones, I bought only the white ones from Lily.
Natusichka
And I ordered both dark and light! Looks very nice!

Tell me, can you wrap the cake with mastic and cut it? Or is it better with a cream?

A cake covered with mastic will not be suitable for cutting. It should only be covered with cream.

Lyudochka, why is it so categorical? If the inside of the cake is not very soft, it seems to me that mastic will look very good. A sharp knife and some decoration on top and you can try. But first for yourself. Who is first?

Actually, Oksanochka, you're right. Maybe mastic can be cut. More correctly, I will say this: I never cut a mastic cake. But who is the first to decide on this experiment, I hope, we will see in this thread.

lyudmila7206, I also show my portioned cake for the little dancer. Thanks for the master class!

izumka what a fine fellow you are. This cake turned out to be pretty. So cool you came up with a design with figures. I thought that this cake can only be decorated with cream flowers or fruits. And the ballerinas made of chocolate or chokomastics?

I came, albeit with a delay, but I guess I need to put a signature in my messages, "It's always with me, it's late, I hope it's better than never."

Thanks to your, Lyudochka, master class, inspiration and napkins bought from Lily at the warehouse I also decided

lyudmila7206, did not see this message! Ballerinas made of chocolate, painted them on baking paper, and when they froze, transferred them to the cake.

Oksanochka, I admired these cakes in your classmates and still thought - why are they not on HP? Now, you heard my thoughts! Such beauty must be displayed immediately!

Girls! I was ordered a portioned cake, but I just can't figure out how you cut it and it won't crumple with you! I always crumple the edges on the cuts! tell me, maybe you have some cakes that do not wrinkle! Because of this, I am very worried that it will not be like this!
artisan
Cool the cake well! Cut with a very thin and sharp punch. And I cut with a blade from such a knife
Assembling a portioned cake (master class)

depending on the cream, you can either wet it (protein on top) or heat it (oil)

thanks for the advice! and if the cream is vegetable?

I am writing late. but still. I mostly always icing the portion cakes with cream. It is better to chill the cake itself before slicing, but there is not always time. I cut the cake itself with a nail file (with teeth). And the main thing is not to press hard on the cake, but gradually. I start cutting from the middle to the very edge of the cake (pressing lightly, not hard). And everything turns out well. The inside of the cake does not affect the slicing, unless the meringue is cut or something very nutty and hard.
Husky
Lyudaaaaa, oh, I did not unsubscribe in your topic.
Here's my portioned cake. Here he cut just not very well, since I did not let him brew. Inside was a "chocolate temptation" cookie crust filled with chocolate chunks and chopped nuts.
But the next day I ate with great appetite. And nothing was felt anywhere. It was tender and fragrant.

Lyudochka, well done .. Excellent cake. You came up so cool with different wrapping paper (white and brown). I will definitely take a note.
