I asked not WHERE, but WHY ... but just because it is impossible to put cups or jars, without water? I had special glasses for the multicooker ... I just put them on the bottom without water ...
Luysia
The question is certainly interesting! If I had an additional stainless steel bowl, I would put jars without water in it.

And I would not risk constantly heating a bowl with a non-stick coating (even to a low yoghurt temperature).

not convinced ..... I will experiment ...... I think everything will be fine ...... thanks for the answers ...

Girls! Help me please! already 5 liters spoiled milk and nothing happens. I wanted to make yogurt, I took the Lactin sourdough. I made Polaris in the same multicooker. I do not ferment at all. I just didn’t sterilize the cans, because I poured the milk with sourdough into the multicooker. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. And I did it like this: I boiled the milk and cooled it to 37 degrees. stirred the Lactin starter culture. and poured it into a multicooker. the first time the multicooker got very hot, probably because of this it didn’t work. In the recipe book it was written to set the heating for 40 minutes. now I do not heat it up and still does not come out.

Have you made yoghurt with Lactina's live dry sourdough? And, unfortunately, the lottery always ferments, it does not ferment, and everything affects the multiplication of bacteria in yogurt: the conditions under which they were stored in the pharmacy, and where they lay in your freezer, on the shelf in the refrigerator, and the quality of milk, if there is a lot of chemistry in it, then it is able to suppress the growth of bacteria. But the most important thing is the temperature of the fermented milk, if it is overheated above 45 grams. haply your yoghurt
But there is one way to avoid all this - to make the mother's starter culture, that is, dilute the whole bag not in a liter of milk, but in one of the jars, or in extreme cases in a half-liter jar. And then if everything turns out OK, already on this ready-made mother's starter culture, prepare the next yogurt, taking a few spoons for the starter culture.
Good luck

Oh, well, at least you made it clear to me that Lactina does not always come out of dry sourdough. Probably the storage conditions were really violated. I bought sourdough through a joint shopping site)
I still have a question: and if you do it from activity, then the usefulness of bifidobacteria is preserved? for me this is important, because everyone in the family has problems with the gastrointestinal tract.

if there are problems with the gastrointestinal tract, then there is no benefit from fermenting purchased Activia, it is simply made by girls, since it quickly ferments and is not particularly whimsical to use.
Here is a special TEMKA about living bacteria and their influence on the human body, which is conducted by specialists in microbiology.
There you will learn a lot for yourself I think.
And here's another topic about YOGHURTS WITH BACTERIAL STEAMS, there are already 32 pages of the second volume, but start reading a couple of pages behind, if you are interested, read the whole topic

LenaYou can take the starter cultures not through the joint venture, but from the official representatives, everything will be all right there with the terms and conditions.
Take a look at the PM.
